good happy hour beer and pitcher prices. Great burritos carne asada or al pastor very good. havent been back for a couple years as i tend to stay in watsonville too much.

This taqueria is located inside Capitola mall. The food is ok especially if ur hungry after shopping and looking for stores which have vanished from existence here. I’ve eaten the burrito and it was fairly good. I still say there are better burritos at taqueria Vallarta down the street(heading toward the ocean) Overall, average. Not as big of a disappointment as the dying mall is! You might just be famished looking for any food inside the mall that tastes better!

Good atmosphere. Nice people. Beer on tap. Sub par Mexican food. Greasy chips. Guacamole consistency more like thick pea soup and kinda bland. All around so so food.

This place serves freshly made mexican food in the mall food court. It’s family run and not some corporate chain. All food is prepared on site in front of you. It’s the healthiest choice in the food court.

Suddenly, Capitola has gotten a little less lame. The legendary, beloved, Tacos Morenos has opened a second location: same great taste, now with seating(and it looks like beer on tap, to boot!) Ok, not a tone of seating, but easily two ro three times the amount the other location boasts. Like the original, this is a cash-only proposition. Loved the burritos — clean, simple flavors; delicious and filling, but not with the terrible weighing you down other burritos inflict upon consumption. Morenos might have the best burritos in the county; it definitely has the best in Capitola. Yet another glorious reason to leave the food court, and walk a block.

4.5 OK so first this place is a taqueria that happens to be in the food court of the Capitola mall. The family has several taquerias in the area but all have different cooks and the food is different. Second, most taquerias suck! Really they do. I don’t know what it is but I hate almost every one I’ve been to and I love Mexican food(heck I’m half Mexican and my grandma can cook up some serious food!). Anyway this place is in a tie for the best asada burrito I’ve ever had! It’s so damn good! Asada, cabbage whole beans, rice, extra sour cream and extra cheese, I’m pissed I’m in the city right now and can’t go get one. The rest of the menu is ok… normal taqueria food not great, not terrible. I pretty much only get burritos at these places. Watch out for the quesadilla though it’s tasty but there is more grease than I’ve ever seen come out of any one food item. The rest of the place seems pretty clean and nice, it’s really just a counter with the kitchen in the back.
