I have been a Petite Provence customer for many years. Without exception I have received superb customer service. I live in Mountain View and often bring my guests«over the hill» to visit Petite Provence and to lunch at Gayle’s because both places are treasures I love to share. At Petite Provence I’ve purchased beautiful linens, lovely baby gifts, unique Christmas decorations and hard milled French soap in many wonderful fragrances. I’ve bought a fun purse and some gorgeous shopping bags unlike any I’ve seen made here. One of my favorite gifts to give is the lockets made with old silver in original antique molds. Do stop by. If you love France, you’ll love Petite Provence. If you are looking for truly unique gifts and great customer service you will find both at Petite Provence.

Don’t you dislike stores with no refund/store credit only policy? Personally, I do. BUYERBEWARE… buried at the bottom of the home page under«help center» and then click on returns & exchanges you will find this. I made an honest mistake and ordered a $ 120 table cloth in the wrong size. When I opened the package, I called immediately to explain my mistake and if they would kindly sell me one in a larger size for more $$. They do not make and cannot make it. When I politely asked if I could have a refund, they explained it is their policy to give no refunds. I tried to ask 3 different levels of management and they all had the same response. «It’s not our policy.» I guess they have the policy the«customer is always wrong.» What a miserable first experience at Petite Provence.

Charming, well run little business that aims to please… had fun browsing and choosing a few items that could go home with us on the plane. After stocking up on goodies we stopped by Gayle’s Bakery for pastries to go !

Bastille Day is celebrated here with a BIG sale! BUT only at the warehouse in West Santa Cruz not the Capitola location. Get on their mailing list so you get a heads up. I think this may be the only sale they have all year. The warehouse is near Kelly’s Bakery is the only info I had. Sometime later… I bought the best latte bowls ever that are very similar to the ones at La Boulange so yay! An armoire and gorgeous round table were on sale but they can be ordered in several colors at the regular price. Then I bought the nicest mustard colored candles with this white patina on them that look great with the round tablecloth I also brought home. Linens are the biggest inventory with bread bags and some other unusual linens I couldn’t quite figure out what it is used for. I wanted to buy one of the loveliest white shirts made in France with the detailed embroidering but only XS and S were left on the rack. Note: Pricey $$$ but Nicey $$ during the sale. Then I strolled next door to another French shop.

The World According to Noelle Allergic Girl’s Guide to Life «Making comments about my ethnic background is not okay, its rather rude.» 3.5 stars for the selection of home goods 0 stars for the customer service overall rating– Zero Stars if I could because of the rude customer service. As a housewife, living the Life of Riley there is nothing more that I love than decorating our home. I’ve come into Petite Provence a couple of times before heading into Gayle’s for lunch. Customer service has been hit or miss and the last time I was there the customer service person(not the owner) had some rather odd humor(which I didn’t care for at all because I felt it was borderline rude) but overall I like the home décor in this store. Came here recently with my husband and picked up a table linen for our kitchen table(made in Nice, France) which retailed around $ 80 some odd dollars and two make-up bags. The customer service lady made some odd conversation stating that my husband and I looked like brother an sister which is odd considering my husband is Caucasian and I’m Asian. Rest assured my husband I and look far from related. I also didn’t like how the customer service person commented on how much I was spending in the store. I spent close to $ 120. Let’s be real it shouldn’t matter if I spend $ 5 or $ 500 the customer service person is not there to judge but just ring up the purchase. Noelle’s Notes Skip it. There are places where the customer service people aren’t so rude.

Hi, Someone once gave me a gift of a bar of soap and a small soap holder from Petite Provence. That was three years ago. Since then I have been addicted to the lemongasss soap from LaVande. I just re-upped my stash of it. The other flavors are equally as good. I love this store for small gifts with flare. Thanks for the pleasant service. Thanks

French linens are so beautiful… and pricey. But at Petite Provence, they are bon marché! They’ve got the top brands de Provence such as Artiga and St. Roch. Napkins were as little as $ 5 each, dishtowels as little as $ 10 and tons and tons of tablecloths at warehouse prices… you can make a whole gift set here for under $ 100! Also, the owner is super nice and friendly! Always a +++!
