Rimel’s Zenbu

We use to frequent Zenbu given that food is consistency good. However, service is consistently awful. As an example, family and I went for dinner this evening, ordered meal and despite flagging down our waitress multiple times waited for forty-​five minutes without ever receiving our appetizers and/​or entrees. Even more maddening was watching the sushi chefs take shots with the only two people sitting at sushi bar while other sushi stood around not making our food.
Place was not busy and we never received food so we left and host said «thank you, hope you enjoyed your meal» despite fact he also saw we never were served.
Don’t plan on ever going back — other restaurants in North County that are eager to do business.

Terrible food and service. It’s like they are a brand new restaurant and their servers are new.

I love that you can order from both the Zenbu and Rommel’s menu. It wasn’t super crowded in Zenbu which I like. Nike quiet and mellow. Everything we got was very good. I do take issue with the insane prices though. I’ve had better sushi for less. 3 rolls, a quesadilla, tacos and 2 glasses of wine came to over $ 100! What?! Pricey but yummy.

RIMELS… finally gettin put on blast like they should! You guys always rock the show, no matter how many times I go there or take new friends there… its always KILLER!!! Good grub, Good service, Good Times!!!
…Sometime has to give you guys the hype you deserve! Glad there will be another location opening it’s doors in Del Mar! Keep on pluggin it!
