If you’re craving a sweet treat, you can’t go wrong with homemade ice cream at The Hollow Creamery. The environment is charming and delightful, tucked away on the little strip of stores in Westbury, complete with a chalkboard menu. The flavor options are plentiful and the ice cream is delectable.

I would give this place 0 stars if I had the chance. Came with my family after dinner @ 6:30pm. The nice lady said I’ll take down some chairs for you guys. Then the gentlemen with black hair and a goatee behind the counter said they were closing in 15 minutes and that we were not allowed to stay. NOTALLOWEDTOSTAY? If you’re going to open a retail store then you better hone up on your service. Not once did he offer us to take it to go or apologize for closing early. He said«it’s been quiet so we’re closing early. Truly and completely disappointed. I am a big fan of mom and pop stores and I now know why they go out of business. Seriously please consider hiring better staff.

Homemade ice cream is the best. I didn’t realize there was a place like this in the area. I’m definitely coming back and trying other flavors.

Great Ice Cream, nice sized portions and best of all it’s homemade. While I absolutely love this place and the owner is really nice to customers, I can’t believe how I’ve seen him treat his employees. His employee made a mistake one time(which was a big mistake, definitely, and could have gotten people sick if my friend hadn’t pointed it out) and in front of us, he whispered to the two employees how he should get a share of their tips for the day, and the day before. While that isn’t inherently horrible, as it was a big mistake, you could see that this was pretty typical behavior from how the employees reacted. Other than that, the place is great. But I still won’t forget how he treated his employees that day.

Love this place. It’s a great little place to pick up ice cream and dessert with the family. So many different varieties and all the ones I’ve had have been delicious. The Frozen Hot Chocolate, was really good, too. The rainbow cookies were fantastic. The staff there are also really friendly and helpful. There’s limited street parking, but a parking lot in back. There are games, and activities for the kids to keep them busy, while mom and pop have a conversation. Highly recommend this place.

Place was cute and clean. Must have all the works! Got the brownie sundae-warm brownie topped with your choice of three scoops homemade ice cream(i went with mocha almond fudge, espresso chip, and double brownie fudge ice cream).fudge. whip cream. and of course the cherry to top it. too much for one person alone but a great creation! Sooo gooood! Also, I’ve come across a lot of people and the service here is outstanding. The young guy that helped us was very welcoming, personable and made some great suggestions.

Had the most delicious brownie sundae here today. A warm, fudgy brownie topped with hot fudge, whipped cream, and a scoop each of cookie dough, vanilla bean, and chocolate candy bar. Seriously the best sundae I’ve had in a long time. Wish I had something similar in my area!

Delicious creamy full flavored ice cream. Butter Pecan was loaded with nuts and buttery(makes sense right?). Single scoop cup was just the right size to satiate my appetite. I Menu looks great here with interesting homemade flavors and intriguing sundae choices if the affogato wasn’t a three scoop ordeal with pound cake thrown in, I might have indulged, I love ice cream and expresso. Maybe next time I’ll ask if they can mini size it! Service was excellent, Jared was very patient with my daughter, offering a sample to help her finally make a choice. TIP– if you are over 55 like me and you sit in the low barrel chair, make sure you have an assistant to help you get up after filling your belly!

While it was crowded and the manager was«frazzled», he didnt have to be rude. The prices seem to have gone up over the past few months. I recall the new owner being very friendly upon first opening, yeah not anymore. Ill stick to baskin and robbins

Came here with my sister on Saturday night before a movie and we both LOVED this place. I was sad we didn’t get to stay a chill because we were in a rush, but even just the 10 minutes we were there you could tell that this was a friendly and well beloved shop. They were very helpful about letting us try flavors and when I couldn’t decide, the guy behind the counter offered me two half scoops so I could have the best of both worlds! Those worlds being chocolate amaretto and rice pudding(YUM!) my sister had the maple pecan which tasted like a better version of the cinnamon toast crunch I had growing up. We took it to go with a brownie and boy was that brownie good. Perfect mix of cakey and fudgey. YES I know that is what we are all looking for in brownies! It should also be noted that this place was packed on a Saturday night around 8:30PM and it’s right around the corner from a carvel. Props to this community for supporting an awesome local small business!

Guy makes the ice cream himself. He’s super friendly and will help you until you know what you want. It doesn’t have to be ice cream season to enjoy this place! Since he makes the flavors himself, the flavors are never the same. Last time I was in I got the oatmeal cookie(no raisins in this batch, I wasn’t complaining!) and it was amazing as per usual. Quaint atmosphere and delicious ice cream, a must attend especially with the kids!

This place is a cute little creamery with amazing ice cream. Found this place by accident but now whenever I’m in town I try to make my way here. My favorite flavor is the cake batter. Probably the best cake batter ice cream I ever had and I usually don’t care for that flavor much. The chocolate Ice cream is amazing as well. You have to try this place you will not be disappointed!

As a full fledged ice cream addict, I solemnly declare the chocolate ice cream and fudge and whip cream to be just average. The ice cream here is very very thick, closer to gelato. The whip cream is homemade which is nice. Their hot fudge is what saddens me the most… It’s like pudding. It wasn’t hot and melty gooey-ness that gets all up in the ice cream how I like it. It’s not bad ice cream it’s just not the best. Otherwise this place still stands as a gem to the neighborhood, super cute super clean super home made dessert spot!

The Hollow Creamery is my new favorite place for ice cream on long island. It’s a cozy place to hang out. The owner was very friendly and allowed us to try as many flavors as we wanted. I don’t usually like mint chip, but jack’s mint chip flavor was refreshing and not overwhelmingly minty. The smores was amazing — with a mix of mini marshmallows and what seemed to be marshmallow fluff. The butter pecan is made with raw pecans, so I would recommend trying it before ordering it. They have a great selection of wines, beers and sangria too! Beware, they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays and don’t open till 3pm on Weds!

I finally tried out the Hollow Creamery this past weekend and am I glad I did! Great ice cream and friendly, helpful service! After dinner on a Saturday night we decided to get a treat since it was right next door to where we dined. We were a little full, but I really wanted to try the Banana Pudding ice cream flavor that I read about on here, but unfortunately they didn’t have any. Oh well. an excuse to return. The guy behind the counter was extremely helpful. when my wife ordered vanilla he explained that there style vanilla has is white with the beans in it and made sure that was ok with her. also clarified the size she wanted(either a kiddie or small. she went with the kiddie). I ordered a cup of the toasted almond coconut which was awesome(also went with a kiddie after being told the difference between a kiddie and small). This is some seriously delicious ice cream that doesn’t break the bank either. Generous amounts for the price! The place is very attractive inside with nice comfortable seating and a nice décor. It was a great experience all around. well except for the AC above the front entrance. it leaks water directly in the middle of the entrance, which allows for the other patrons to giggle as you walk in getting splashed with water. We did the same to another couple that entered. amusing, but still a bit annoying. How about a simple fix of getting a plastic tube under the drip to direct it towards the side? Anyway don’t like a little drip stop you! Everything looks great here and prices are good. enjoy!

I am an Ice cream KILLER. It’s been really hard to find an ice cream parlor that has the perfect consistency. This homemade creamery is the best hidden gem there is. Their flavors change daily and stop selling if they run out of fresh ice cream. The consistency is very creamy and slightly hard so that you can chew on the ice cream– it also does not melt very quickly. It is a great place to hang out with friends or even go with family. Try the raspberry brownie!

I really liked this place. I was actually here on the same night as Howard L. and can attest that his daughter has a real talent! She’s the next Lorde. I had found this place on Unilocal and finally convinced my friends to go with me. It didn’t take much more convincing than«ice cream and beer!» to be honest, but it did take me about a month to get out there. Three of us ended up sharing the brownie sundae and it was phenomenal! Definitely enough for three hungry ladies. but I also probably could’ve eaten the whole thing myself. Ice cream was great, staff was great, beer list was great, and the fact that we stumbled upon open mic night was even better. Really intimate, small town joint that I will be sure to visit again.

The homemade ice cream here is awesome. The people who work here are super friendly and were very generous with the samples. The place kinda has a coffee shop feel, but they serve ice cream and beer, go figure. My friends and I decided to come here since we just had dinner at Shack Shake and we wanted something near by. First thing that popped up on Unilocal was The Hollow Creamery. It’s off the hustle and bustle of Old Country rd but it’s so worth the visit. The food: Pistachio– the pistachio here was my fav. The chunks of the pistachio are prevalent and the flavor of the pistachio in the ice cream itself is nice. The texture of the ice cream has a nice consistency. Chocolate Peanut Butter– I will be the first to admit that I prefer other flavors over chocolate ice cream, but the Chocolate Peanut Butter here is really good. I thought it had a nice balance of chocolate and peanut butter. Banana Pudding– It had the flavor of banana pudding kinda like what you get at Magnolia or any of their off shoot bakeries but I kinda feel it was missing the actual bananas and pudding itself. I love the real banana pudding because of the texture of the banana and the cake, the ice cream lacked those elements
