Fiddler’s at Mayapple Golf Course

We called to make reservations for the deck and were told no reservations necessary, just stop on by. 25 minutes later we show up to be told the entire deck was reserved for a party (wtf?). We were seated inside, ordered drinks they were out of 3 different drink menu items. Ordered food which was timed terribly (husband was done with his soup before I ever saw my salad and then 2 minutes later our meals were delivered) burger was way over cooked and like shoe leather. My meal was average a best. Then to add insult to injury, the large party who reserved the whole deck stood inside at the bar having drinks, so we had to look at butts and listen to their concersations while we ate. Things have been slipping lately. Fiddlers you may have lost our business for good.

Literally walked in and waited 5 min to be seated. Waiters and Waitresses walked left to right and no one said a word to us. We turned around and walked out.

Sep 3^rd, 2015. Had lunch with dear friends. Jodi served the Greek Salad with Salmon and the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pie and Coffee. Delicious! Always have great food and prompt service at the Pub. I will be back.

Love this place and order the same thing every time, Pandora’s box. Huge scallops and shrimp with crabmeat in a creamy sauce in puff pastry. Pure heaven. I’m picky about my seafood too. Can’t wait to go back! It’s nice to sit outside, great view.

Decent selection of beer good steaks salmon is well prepared their wings are delicious and well seasoned with a variety of sauces to choose from. Golf course is decent too

Nice menu. A lot of time waiting for refills and meal. Over all good. Really nice atmosphere. Cozy. Friendly.

Very nice and relaxing. Food is very good and the staff are always on point. Great get away for Mom and Dad for a drink and a dinner or lunch.

Fiddlers is awesome. $ 2.50 beer specials. My friends and I came here for a bite and decided for beers and the appetizer sampler. The samplers was incredible and filled us up, we were really hungry to begin with. Try the spring rolls and Mayapple wings, they were incredible. Honestly I wish I got a meal, but if the appetizers were that good the meals must be incredible. Give it a try. I don’t think you will regret it.

We had reservations at 730 and our party of four was immediately seated. The food was excellent. The chef there really knows his business. We all had different entrees and everyone loved everything about their dinner. The portions are very generous, the plates were served attractively and although our waitress was very busy she took time to make sure or drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed. I recommend this place.

We arrived without a reservation and had to wait almost 45 minutes. However, it was worth it. The calamari was cooked perfectly. The prime rib was delightful with a big peice of fat… just how I like it. The waitress was very warm and excited about everything we ordered. The atmosphere is not quiet but soothing with conversation always going on at the bar. Very clean. Perfect portions at the right price. Would come back again.

my husband and I had drinks and dinner on the patio. it was great. I had a Cobb salad and my husband had the cheesesteak. both were delicious. drinks, good food and some sun, besides nice scenery? we’ll be back

Good service, nice atmosphere. Portions were decent. Had small raspberry chicken salad and tried the wings. Salad was excellent with fresh greens, fresh grilled chicken, cranberries and walnuts with a very good raspberry vinaigrette dressing that was not too sweet. Wings were cooked crispy and were good sized. I tried the wrong dust and garlic flavors, but lacked the expected punch of flavor. Will visit again, they have a large menu and full bar to select from.

After having reservations at 7:45 PM and showing up on time, the hostess found that my table was already taken by someone else who seated themselves even after she prepared the table for us.
She did nothing other than tell us we had to wait longer. Note: no offer was made to have a drink on them and wait or have an appetizer on them. There were also two other tables empty but since they had more seats than our party, she did not even offer them. I was told there was no manager on duty who could help me. So I asked for a number I could call. I got the managers name, George, who is also the owner, and called him. He was not very appreciative and did nothing to satisfy my concerns. He chastised me for calling him on his personal phone.
Obviously I left and will not go back. That type of service, especially for a local person, is not what I expect from a restaurant.
Go to TJ Rockwells or Noonans and get good service! And good food!

My coworker took my dad and I here just to try it. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but what sticks in my mind was being able to see the gold course from the table. That was kinda scenic. The food was decent. I got something I found to be unique and I enjoyed it. I don’t know if I would go out of my way to eat here again, but I wouldn’t turn down an invitation either.
*On a side note, just a fun little anecdote: My dad does not drink. Never has and never will. He doesn’t condemn it or anything, its just not his thing. Anyway, that being said he doesn’t quite grasp the concept of alcohol cooking out of food during preparation. Long story short, he swears the beer battered fish got to him that night. For us it was the laughter.

If you want a great NY strip steak this is the place to be. Nice, friendly atmosphere with quality service. Go there, you will be glad you did.

Over the years this place has had it’s ups and downs but under the current management the restaurant/​bar have greatly improved in quality as well as service. Very nice to sit out back on patio and enjoy some lunch

I gotta say, this place still has it! It’s been through some ups and downs and I believe a management changeover and the service can sometimes be iffy (but not on Friday! Thanks Virginia!), but the food has been constantly pleasing. Surf and turf was yum again and the steak was cooked perfectly. Seared tuna app is a meal in itself and the wings with dust are good as well.

I was traveling for business and happened to be in Carlisle for the evening. Like the Unilocaler I am, I looked for a place nearby that was not a chain/​franchise that had a good rating. This place surprised me because I wouldn’t have thought to go to a golf course for a meal. I am so glad I did and that I followed another Unilocaler’s advice and got the seafood sampler appetizer. It was AMAZING and I made a whole meal out of it. The quality of the food was good and the prices weren’t over the top.
I was there on a Wednesday night and the place was full, but not too busy to get great service. I soon learned that one reason, in addition to the great food, is that a cool DJ named Vern does live trivia on Wednesday nights. Apparently the regulars go every week. It was a lot of fun and I will definitely go again when I am in the area.
Oh, and kudos to the bartender who was friendly, efficient, and yet in a very nice way carded a young man who claimed to have «left his ID in the car.» I tipped her extra for refusing to serve him without showing his ID. He «left to get it» and didn’t come back. Good job!

Fun place with pretty good food.

The new kid in the town of Boiling Springs, Pa. but worth a trip as you will not get better sushi anywhere! Has a nice outdoor seating area for summer, a friendly crowd, flat screens in the bar area, a happy hour and a terrific barkeep (Tomas). Generally packed on Fri/​Sat nights.
