This was my first time to dine here. It was a Sunday evening. The restaurant was about hall full. They had 2 waitresses who were having to hustle so their was a bit of a delay with the service. I had some clams, mussels, and shrimp sautéed in a garlic and white wine sauce. They were excellent. My entrée was Veal Scaloppine. It was also excellent. The only disappointment was the bread. It was garlic bread and soso. No real Italian bread with oil and vinegar. I would recommend this restaurant. I noticed a lot of pizza being ordered. It looked very good. That will be the next trip.

I was day tripping to hershey for an event and was looking for a restaurant that wouldn’t freak about needing a table for 16. These guys didn’t even blink. We got to the restaurant to find a semi-private room for us, a very attentive waiter at the ready. Most of us ordered the specials which were all seafood/pasta dishes and they did not disappoint! I had lobster ravioli with crab and shrimp and it was AMAZING! I wish I didn’t live four hours away or I would make this a regular stop. The prices were more than fair and the house garlic bread was addictive. All the people in our party agreed the food was fantastic. Even more, even the diners in the restaurant were so nice and asked us why we were there, congratulated the honoree and just made it a fantastic experience overall. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend!

Great sub and pizza place with counter service connected to a sit down Italian restaurant with delicious food and good service. I like the pizza steak sub on the sandwich side, and all is good on the table service side. I will be back.

Omg! Only lived in Carlisle a few months and decided to try this place. Our waitress Judy was a hoot! The food is to die for.

Marcello’s is authentic Italian in that the owner is from Italy. Unfortunately he was in Italy the night I visited. The service was friendly and attentive on a busy Saturday night. The kitchen was receptive to making some dish changes from their menu. The menu had standard Italian fare, pasta and pizza, at reasonable price points to the portion served. I would like to see a creamy, white wine sauce with peas and proccuitto that I used to get on the chicken venitziana at Rillo’s and if they were to serve pork belly porchetta classic Italian dish I had in Rome which uses pork belly with its crispy crunchy skin and infused with fresh herbs and fennel, I would be there every week. BYOB.

Traveling through Carlisle on our drive from NC to MA. Found the restaurant on Unilocal so I gave it a shot. Great food, affordable, fresh and staff was polite. I highly recommend!

We are back again – once more for wonderful authenticity– We asked when they might have mushroom soup again, and the chef asked which night we wanted it – so we’ll be back Thursday !

Our experience here could not have been better. Having never been here before, we weren’t sure what to expect. From the moment we walked in the door, our waitress was friendly and helpful. We ended up sitting outside so we didn’t need to leave the dog in the car. The food was delicious, especially the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. The location was perfect as it was maybe a mile from the turnpike. Much better than all those chain restaurants. We won’t hesitate to stop here again!

I’ve been trying new pizza places near me since the one I’ve gone to for years changed management and is now horrible. This place is definitely a contender for my new favorite pizza place! I picked up a meat lovers pizza from here for dinner tonight, 9÷24÷15, and I was pleasantly surprised! Pros: Great price for what you get. Our pizza was STACKED with meat! You definitely get more than enough food for the price that you pay. The pizza tasted delicious! I like the sauce and the toppings very much, although the crust had a little trouble holding up to all the toppings. Cons: A little greasy for my liking(although I think that was because of the large amount of meat on the pizza, so I’ll forgive it more than usual) I’d definitely recommend giving this place was a try if you haven’t yet!

We normally just order pizza when we do order from here but tonight U decided on somethi g a little different. I got my children something from their childrens menu, chicken fingers and fries for my 4 year old and a cheese burger and fries for my 3 year old. Their fries were soggy, and my 3 year old couldnt even eat her cheese burger! The roll was so hard I could barely even bite into it! I had to put it on regular bread in order for her to eat it! And all this was after it arrived over an hour after i had ordered! I live 5 minutes from them! We will not be ordering from here again.

We ventured off the turnpike thanks to Unilocal and we’re rewarded for our efforts. This place is great, good choices for the kids and the pasta selection is amazing and tasty. We will plan our trips going this direct to ensure we stop here for lunch/dinner.

It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten Italian. Don’t normally go for pasta, cheese and sauces but loved this place. We got to bring our own wine, the waitress was fabulous and the food delicious. Sorry we don’t live closer — just passing through…

I’ve only had take-out, but when you’re in the mood for pasta Marcello’s really hits the spot. Not only is it very fast(ready when I walk in the door), it is also extremely well priced. You can get almost any pasta dish for under $ 10. I’m not surprised it’s always busy here.

This place is truly a hidden gem! You will need GPS to find it, because it is awkwardly located on a side street. I will start this review by saying that, as far as I am concerned, no need to look further on the menu than to anything with the homemade alfredo sauce. It is the best-tasting alfredo sauce that I have ever had. In fact, after trying a bite of my dad’s dish, my mom and I asked for some on the side so we could put it on our dishes! Absolutely delicious… like silk… unlike any alfredo sauce that I’ve ever had. I do have to say that the salad was a disappointment and should have gone for the homemade soup. Stellar service… dated but charming ambiance… very reasonable prices. My mouth is already watering for dinner there again tomorrow night!

Carlisle has many several serious contenders for good pizza, but Marcello’s sits alone at the top. I live close by and frequent this establishment frequently, both to dine in and to take out. They have a fancy dining section and a simple pizza shop area, making them a great option for many different occasions. They make huge stromboli and their pizzas are big too. The sauce is a perfect blend of flavor and smooth texture, great on pizza and pasta alike. While you can get fancy Italian dishes(which are usually great), their simple cheese pizza is perfect every time too.

There are some Italian restaurants that are a little complicated to dine at. Its no ones fault really, I guess you can blame it on authenticity. This place has good food, no question, but the options are almost too plentiful. They have the menu broken down by meat choice. If you want chicken, there is a chicken category, then for beef, seafood, etc. Each of those lists has maybe 5 – 10 items. As if that doesn’t make for enough variety, you then have your choice of any kind of pasta. This gets especially tricky if you don’t know what kind of pasta you like. I bet this place gets a lot of «I like that kind that’s curly or straight, long, fat, skinny» Haha. Anyway, after pondering all the choices and discussing them with my friends(as we were all having difficulty deciding), I was very satisfied with my selection. If I had to take a guess, I would say all of their food is good. Its just a matter of finding what you like. Oh, and the prices aren’t too steep.
