Joe runs a home town, highly professional business. All of the screens on our house needed repair/​replacement and Joe took on a big job and finished the work quickly. All the screens fit perfectly and now Mr. Mittens cannot escape the house. I highly recommend Joe’s work. He’s the best in San Diego County!

I dropped 8 screens off for rescreening and repair. Joe finished them by the end of the day. A couple of the screens had bent frames that were not salvageable. Joe took care of the problems by making new screens where needed and rescreening the rest along with putting new springs on all. Everything fit perfectly when reinstalled and they were finished as promised.

Coast Screen was able to make the best of a battered old sliding door screen. My dog had created a pet door and I didn’t want to pay for a whole new screen (from Home Depot or Lowe’s). Joe was able to revive it well enough to last a few more years. The time, effort and money I would have spent trying to do a home repair job was worth more than what I paid Coast. And same day service!

Yesterday I brought in two window screens that had been destroyed by birds using the screenings to build their nests this spring. There were huge, gaping holes in them. Joe, the owner, greeted me politely and immediately commented that birds had done the damage. He said he could repair them while I waited, or I could return for them in an hour or two. Since I had several errands to run, I decided to come back later. When I returned, they were ready and looked like new. I would highly recommend Coast Screen Shop for your screen repairs.

I kick myself for not reading these reviews before I called Coast Screens. The owner Joe is pushy, belligerent and had the nerve to argue with me when I suggested his behavior was unprofessional. His actions speak of desperation and I can see why. A course in Good Manners would not go amiss here.

Absolutely upsetting meeting with Joe. He called his competitor a drunk. Took 3 screens off my house without my asking, gave me such an inflated price I immediately said, «no way!» I now have open windows without screens on all four windows instead of just one. He did not put the ones that were okay back. In addition he charged me $ 40 for taking the windows off. I paid the guy $ 40 to ruin what was already there and in good shape. I Couldn’t get rid of the guy. He hung around and lowered the price three times but not nearly enough. Creepy! Buyer beware!

Joe Orlando just repaired my screen door while I waited! It was a quick, professional and very reasonably priced repair. He gave me choices and enough info to make an intelligent choice of how much to repair my door (It only had some minor damage, but he could have rebuilt the whole thing.) I suggest you call ahead, but he is very accommodating.

Joe came through for me in the clutch. I was working in north county and needed some corners to fix some screens. Home depo didn’t have them nor did ace and my regular spot is in Chula Vista. I called some local screen guys and no one would help me out. Then I called Joe and went to his shop. He had all the professional equipment and some. I have never scene a lot of things and I have been in the business for five years. He was very fair and gave me a good price. I also referred a couple of customers to him to do some invisible screen doors cause that’s not a service I provide to my customers. If you want someone with ton’s of experience Joe is the man to call.
