Dr. Lawrence may be young but he is full of wisdom. When I started seeing him I was at the end of my rope, uncomfortable and dissatisfied with my health. I thought I was doing everything right, but my symptoms persisted and western medicine gave me nothing but dead ends and drugs. neither of which were helpful to me. After my first visit with Dr. Lawrence, I knew he would be the one to help me not only alleviate my symptoms but discover and tackle the root cause of my issues.
Part of what makes Dr. Lawrence special is that he is a wonderful counselor. He challenges me to answer my own questions which boosts my autonomy and self efficacy but always steps in with his expertise when appropriate.

I would recommend Dr. Derek Lawrence to anyone looking to restore or optimize their health. He is caring, professional, brilliant, down-​to-​earth, extremely easy to open up to and has been available to answer questions between visits.
During our initial interview, he quickly explained why I was having symptoms that had baffled all of the PCPs and OBGYNs that I had described the same symptoms to over the past few years. He seems to have a much better understanding of hormones, allergies, GI, liver and skin complaints any of the conventional doctors I have encountered.
He prescribed some practical, enjoyable and fairly easy-​to-​incorporate lifestyle changes that made a lot of sense to me, as well as some homeopathic remedies. He explained the reasoning behind the lab tests that he wanted to run and how much they would cost and I was surprised at how affordable they were and how much information they would provide (one was completely and the other one was partially covered by insurance). The cost of his visits are extremely reasonable for an ND as well and a great value for this quality of care.
I have definitely noticed improvements in the symptoms that I have been seeking help for, and have also noticed that I seem to be detoxing a lot of toxins from the homeopathic «drainage» remedies. Most importantly, after a lifetime of health issues and poor immunity, I am finally confident that I have found a doctor that is actually going to find and correct the root causes of my symptoms so I can be vibrantly healthy without medications and with minimal nutritional supplements.
