Very good rumpopo (egg cream liqueur)
Ice cream. Nice flavor and good quality. Homemade ice cream here with interesting and unusual flavors. They also have homemade popsicles.

On a trip to Carlsbad, I suggested this place to my co-​travelers based on the Unilocal reviews. We stopped in and perused the variety of ice creams and popsicles. I opted for a strawberries and cream popsicle for $ 1.99. What a steal for a deliciously large dessert! The cream was super creamy and the strawberries were real slices frozen in the popsicle. Other people in our group picked up some cookies and cream ice cream, which they said was very good.
If I lived in the area, this would be a regular stop for me. They also offer snacks, like Doritos nachos, but those popsicles are where it’s at.

I like ice cream. I’ve had all sorts of types and flavors. I’ve tried homemade, gelato, and frozen yogurt. However, I’ve found a local hangout. Express has amazing I’ve cream. We’ve been here just the once, but two bucks for a scoop of homemade ice cream cannot be beat. They also have cheesecake, flan, and other snacks and desserts. The menu is currently mostly in Spanish, but the friendly staff will explain anything you can’t understand. Small, new and awesome, just what Carlsbad needs!
