Eyebrow Guru

Buyer beware!
I purchased a Groupon Now deal for an eyebrow threading. I needed it done that morning, I was on a time limit. I showed up at 11:10am, 10 minutes after the Groupon was active. There was no one at the store, no name of the company to be found. I called the number on the Groupon — disconnected. It gave me a different number and I called it. The woman stated that she isn’t at that location anymore. She told me her new location and that she could take me the next day. No, I bought the Groupon for that morning for a reason.
Had to go next door to the nail salon and have my eyebrows waxed. Was very unhappy about my experience with Eyebrow Guru and Groupon. I have filed a complaint with Groupon as well.
This happened 3 weeks ago.
I noticed yesterday that she is still running Groupon daily deals.

I waited almost 24 hours after she stood me up to write this review. I wanted to give her time to respond in case she had a family emergency or something… because those things happen. So, she scheduled an appt. with me yesterday. It is my 2^nd time. I have been letting my eyebrows grow out from her request from my 1^st appt. so she can thread them for the wedding I am in in 3 days. I got there 5 mins. early (she had confirmed with me earlier that day through text), the store was locked up and all lights turned off. I called her to check in and I was sent directly to vm. I went to the clothing store to browse while I waited for her response. The girls that worked there asked me if I had ever been in their store before. I let them know it was my 1^st time, I was just waiting for
show up next door. They started laughing and told me they have at least a customer a day saying the same thing and one of the girls that worked there said she had went to her and she had never showed up to one of her appointments !! I was like «are you serious, there’s nothing like that on Unilocal «! Well lo and behold its almost 24 hrs. later No call/​No show… when I did call I once again was sent to VM. I found a place in Encinitas with just as many 5 star Unilocal reviews. That is the only reason I went to her in the first place. I am going to give my business and my referrals to them if they too don’t turn out as flaky as VL.

I was exploring Carlsbad and just walked in to Your Eyebrow Guru. I was nervous because I just moved to the area and I really, really liked my go-​to person from my previous town. I sucked it up, thought to myself «It is just hair, it will grow back», and walked in. I was immediately seen and 20 minutes and $ 15 later, I had beautifully shaped eyebrows. It was quick and as comfortable as threading gets! I even considered driving from Escondido to Carlsbad every few weeks just to see Toran!
