Jack In the Box

The past 3 times I have placed an order, none of it was right. Each time I’ve had to go back with what they gave me and get the correct order. They also charge for what you order in the first place, but give you orders worth less or some of the food is just not in the bag at all.

I bought their bacon and Swiss burger with curly fries. It was super satisfying. I also liked the fact that they have dr. Pepper but it’s cherry and vanilla flavor. Never saw that ever.

always a bad idea for a company to spend big bucks hyping a new product roll-​out if the product’s not very good. got enticed by the HABANERO JACK commercial which apparently i wasn’t watching carefully enough to catch all the fine print — meat, bun, cheese is pretty much the whole story.
remember the «loose-​the-​bun, word» double-​cheeseburger commercials from fifteen years (or thereabout) ago? well, this is the same sandwich as that gut-​buster only instead of crappy AMERICAN cheese they slap on a couple slices of crappy PEPPER JACK and slather it with a HABANERO sauce (mayo) that’s supposed to be tasty and hot but truthfully is neither — not exactly life changing.
then, that old rascal JACK leaves the burger to age «gracefully» in a box under the heat lamps. my patties were as dry and leathery as one of the real wives of LA COSTA after twenty years of weekly visits to a tanning salon.

I normally enjoy Jack in the Box fat food, but on this visit to this particular location they did not meet my expectations. I ordered the Meat Lover’s Breakfast burrito and a regular coffee.
The breakfast burrito would of been much better and as good as I have had in the past, but for some reason, the sausage in the burrito was not hot nor warm. The eggs were cooked just fine, soft and fluffy and well seasoned, the minimal bacon was crispy, the ham savory, and the cheese melted, but the sausage patty was cold to room temp. I can’t understand what happen during the cooking process, but that sausage patty did not receive its fair share on the griddle. The flour tortilla was warm and tasted good.
In a good note, the coffee was very good. It was hot and had a good robust and smooth flavor. The lady who took my order was very nice and in good spirits, but the cooks need to make sure everything gets cooked well. This was the first time this happened to me at any Jack in the Box.
Oh yes, put more bacon in that burrito!

Came here before work and ordered a sausage breakfast jack NO EGG, they got my order in correct. I came back on my lunch to speak to the manager to get it corrected and Pablo was very nice with great customer service. He offered me a jumbo Jack meal since it was lunchtime and a cheesecake. ;) very satisfied

When I went through the drive thru it was extremely difficult to here the person that took my order. I kept having to ask her to repeat herself. The women taking my order got irritated with me. I know she was just frustrated. When I got my order it was mostly not right. I felt bad saying something but honestly it wasn’t even close. Literally the wrong order. I know food service is difficult but this was a little nutty.

I know yer a privately owned location. The owner owes me some money for giving me a faulty drink holder that spilled the drinks all over the front floor of my car. I left a message with him and he never got back to me. It cost me a 130 bones to get it cleaned up. I still go there though. Nuggets and their Oreo shake are delicious. Bacon and Cheddar Wedges yum. Burgers and burritos are good too.

I don’t really do fast food restaurants but needed some coffee before work. It’s been awhile, since I’ve been & little did I know they have new iced coffee flavors. I was in the drive thru & there were about 3 other cars in front of me. They were fairly quick, I’d say under 10 minutes. I always ordered iced mocha but now I tried the hazelnut. Oh how I love thee! Next time I’m ordering a large.

How often do you get to write a 5 star review for a fast food joint? I don’t know who did the hiring or the training but the staff at this jack in the box is on it. I actually made sure to remember the managers name Steven for this review. Friendly, helpful and made us smile. The food, is Jack in the box so you know what it is about, we needed a quick breakfast on the way to legoland with the kids and the staff here helped us start our day in a great mood. I even feel weird about writing a 5 star review for a fast food place but they deserve it, not for the food but for making an otherwise boring fast-​food stop as good as it could be and being the best they can at there jobs. Whoever works at Jack in the box corporate talk to your franchisee and steal away his team to train all your other locations, you’ll thank me for this advice later.

Jack in the box is jack in the box. You know exactly what you are gonna get when you come here. It’s a fast food joint so you shouldn’t have that high of expectations. Service was good. Store was clean. Curly fries and tacos were crisp. No complaints at all. Meal for 2 for less than $ 8. Make sure to go for a walk or run before/​after your visit.

Jack in the Box is now my all time favorite fast food stop.

Unfortunately, I had a really hard time hearing the girl who was taking my order. I had to ask, «What?» more than 3 times! Please, if you’re an employee who takes orders in any fast food establishment — talk SLOWLY and clearly. Thank you.
My favorite things on the menu here are the curly fries and 2 tacos for a dollar. Don’t ask why. .. maybe I just have the munchies! Yikes!

Been here a few times, it’s mediocre during my best visits, pretty horrible at its worst. I don’t know who the manager is, but he/​she is stingy. On hot days, the ac is never on. They’re stingy with their napkins. You serve greasy burgers for goodness sake, 2 napkins isn’t going to cut it. Asking for more is like asking for spare change or something. I don’t think I’ll be going to this location anymore, especially considering you can get better service with better prices at In n Out down the street. Come to think of it, why did I even start going there in the first place when InO is a mile away.

I originally met discord with this place because I had come from the LA area for a weekend trip. I drove down after work on Friday night and after dropping my wife and kids at the hotel I was ready to get some late night chow.
So I placed a small order of some egg rolls and a flatbread sandwich combo. They gave me everything but the sandwich… and I was like damn I’m hungry but do I really wanna go back!!! I gotta wake up early so I figure I will call and see what the say. The girl was very nice and admitted to the mistake without a question. She said she would pass my information to the next person in charge to so that I could get my sandwich later that day. Sounds great I get my food later and a few hours of sleep before action packed day at a local amusement park, right??? Wrong
Well we had our day (two toddlers and kindergartener) and I was pretty shot. I did look forward to my sandwich in the bank so to speak at this jack. But when I got there they hadn’t gotten the pass on and the manager really didnt want to hear my story much less honor the deal. So my wife took over with the squeaky wheel approach. Long story longer. We got our sandwich worth by ordering a smoothie, an iced coffee, and a cheese cake instead butnot after going back and forth with this less than cordial shift manager. The smoothie was nice the cheese cake was nicer but the iced coffee was milky water on the rocks. I wouldn’t return and i wouldnt recommend you go save a zombie apocalypse… but hey it’s jack in the box… on St. Patty’s day weekend…

It’s not worth reviewing Jack in the Box. It really isn’t. But here I am.
After seeing the horrible rating of 3.5 stars, I decided to read the reviews and see what gives. If you decide to read it too, maybe you’ll forgive my rant.
Are the people who go to this location just high? Because… They gave this location a crap rating BUT wrote good reviews except for one lady who was upset she couldn’t use two coupons at the same time even after having decent service many other times she went here. Coupons. At Jack in the Box. Despite that she seems to go there all the time, she wanted to use up both those coupons that one night anyway. One bad experience out of all the many times she probably was a pain in the, I mean… she used coupons. She must have saved 20 bucks at JITB by now. How dare they make things so difficult for her for being so cheap! So cruel of them. Tsk tsk.

I have been visiting this location for a long time. Never encountered any trouble beside the following one.
The worst experience among all would be this Tuesday night. My friend I used drive through. I have two coupons and asked them if I can use them in one transaction. The cashier said no as I expected. I decided to go two times in order to use both coupons.
On the second time, I forgot to hand in my coupon when she slides my credit card. I asked if she can cancel the transaction and redo it. She looked at the manager next to her. The manager said no. Why?! It shouldn’t be too hard, right? Never mind, my bad at the first place. So I asked if its fine that I will keep the burger I just ordered without discount off, and buy another one in different transactions with my coupon. She looked at the manager again, and she told me «you will have to go another round» with a very sorry face. I looked at the back, there is no car behind me. Why in the world that I have to do another round?! Worst of all, the manager is not kidding with a serious look on her face like its a company policy to follow. I got so annoyed that I gave up using my second coupon and drove away.
Using drive through by figuring I can save some time, were I wrong about the concept of drive through?! The manager is very not thoughtful and stupid. I will use the receipt to give them a very bad review for sure.

Needed late night eats on a night drive to Orange County.
JIB is right off the Poinsettia exit in Carlsbad on the west side of the 5 freeway in a large shopping center.
Drive thru is open ²⁴⁄₇ and I was craving those damn .99 cent tacos and a strawberry smoothie.
Attendants were friendly, actually a little TOO friendly for it being passed 10p. Nonetheless, our order came out hot and fresh. YAY!

I got to the ordering menu and initially the associate acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. I then drove to the window and pointed at the sign; from then on it was go…
Bacon flavored shake: Vanila base, bacon syrup (like that used for lattes) for the flavoring, topped with a cherry. It had a smoked maple flavor and was a rather enjoyable flavor; this is a treat I would do again.
One thing to add though, finish this unique dessert quickly otherwise it gets to taste like underdone pancakes with to much maple syrup.

Surprisingly good for fast food! I had a late night craving and after attempting to get something from In-​N-​Out (which was closed at 1am) and reluctantly came here for what became a yummy breakfast platter. (where else can you get breakfast at a drive thru ²⁴⁄₇?!)
I never thought i’d say it, but this is a two thumbs up!

Stopped by here for some late night eats during a recent trip to Carlsbad. Had an Ultimate Cheeseburger and a Big Cheeseburger. Both were consistent with other Jack in the Box restaurants… solid.
It did it’s job… after a night of drinking.
Will I return? Possibly.
