I am new to the area and stopped by after patronizing a business in the same lot. I always drove by and saw the«Life’s Rad» truck with a surf design and was surprised it was a pottery shop(I drive fast). I ended up purchasing something that was more custom work than the regular item with no additional charge for the hassle. I am now relaxing to the sound of a trickling water in the background. Thanks much for helping with the transport as well!!! Better prices than Home Depot and alike. Plus it feels good to support a local business vs. corporate bla bla barf…

The pots this guy sells disintegrate with time. I tried to move one of mine and the bottom fell out. I don’t think they have been fired in a kiln. I wouldn’t buy pots here.

This is a really cool place to wander around, if you’ve had breakfast or lunch over at Bobby’s and have some time. Joey Carrillo(owner of Carrillo’s Pottery) is the nicest, most laid back guy. He sells pots for planting, yard decorations, some wild sculptures, and tons and tons of succulents. Everything is priced very reasonably. And don’t forget to pick up a «Life’s Rad» t-shirt– he just had some new designs made! Life is indeed Rad in Carlsbad!

I really like this small, family owned shop! Great place to pick up plants and mainly pots for container gardening. Decorative iron accents for the home and potted plants for gifts. I picked up a beautiful succulent arrangement for my Grandma for mothers day that was beautiful, and really affordable! Around $ 30 for a large arrangement in a terra cotta clay pot. Have been back since then to pick up a few odds and ends for our yard, we always like to stop in after having breakfast at Bobby’s in the same parking lot.

Need a plant, a planting pot of decorations for the yard? If so I highly reccomend life’s rad! Tons to choose from, nice employees and best of all the price is… well, it’s rad! I give this plant man 8 «killer plants from Mars» outta 10
