YUUUUUM!!! We’ve always wanted to try this place out and as soon as my husband got off of his overnight shift we went straight there. We ordered: Sampler Platter(Vegan) Four rounds of falafel, four stuffed grape leaves, couscous medley, hummus and pita bread. Veggie Kabob(Vegan) Grilled marinated button mushrooms, yellow squash, onion and bell pepper. With a side of regular hummus Lamb Tenderloin Kabob Plate Everything was really good! My husband loved his place and I loved that the veggies weren’t oily and that it had the squash AND the mushroom We both agreed that the rice was kind of bland but that was minor compared to the rest of the food. The pomegrante tea was hella bomb as well. We took our order to go so I can’t really speak on the customer service.

This is my favorite Luna! It’s clean, the floor isn’t slippery like the Mission Valley location and the stag is super friendly and seem like they enjoy being there! I find that the food is fresher and is delivered more timely than others! I personally like the Greek salad with chicken and their hummus. Big bonus: sign up for the bonus program!

Ok, I was pleasantly surprised at this place! I have always seen it walking by the theater, but never ventured in until I did for lunch this past weekend. We must have just beaten the crowd, because by the time we sat down, the line was out the door! They have a great Mediterranean selection at a decent price. Both my mom and I enjoyed the salad with grilled chicken. The ingredients were fresh and light. I was also impressed with the service: even though it is a numbered ordered system, the staff that was walking around was super helpful and aided to all of our requests with eagerness. I will be back– but be prepared for a little wait!

The spicy feta is awesome! I had a sample w some pets bread and I wished I would have made it a whole appetizer! I had the flier beef kabob and it was tender and juicy! The vegetables were a little chard but still had good flavor! My bride had falafel on pita and it was equally as yummy although a bit dry! BONUS: Stella on tap! Other than the fact that I spilled half of it on the wife — it was good a cold and on tap! The young people working here have learned some incredible customer service skills! Probably the best I’ve seen in a while — keep it up!!! All in all a great first visit — def come back again!!!

This place is great. Good food and the menu clearly states what’s vegan and vegetarian and the wrap I made with Falafel! So good!

So I LOVE going to this place, and I do quite a lot… But only the evening! I went in Tuesday night and the service and food was amazing. Zoe was great, checked on us once the line was gone… No complaints. The next day however was TOTALLY different. I went in at lunch time and apparently the staff has no way of handling more than two customers at a time. There was an insanely long line when we first got there, and only one person at the front. After waiting in line for over 15 minutes I got to the front and had quite possibly the slowest cashier I have ever dealt with. In my life. And I’ve even been to the DMV. It took me forever to place my order, I had to place two because my friend was sitting outside with her dog and I paid for both separately… But by the time I was done with my order four other people had gone to the newly opened line. This guy seriously should not have been in the front of a restaurant. So about 20 minutes later one of the buzzers goes off, at this point we had actually asked for to go because we felt like we would not have enough time to go pick up our kids from school. I go to pick up her order and ask if mine is coming up soon and they act confused. They had no record of my order… At all. I had paid but did not take the receipt because I did not think that I needed to remind them that I had paid. At this point I had to wait another 10 minutes, And the manager acted as if I was completely unreasonable and expecting my food to be done in any kind of reasonable amount of time. It’s took me 40 minutes to get takeout… I will definitely not return anytime before 6PM.

way too many good places like this around, this was just OK. Got a salad, and lemon chicken soup. I would have preferred Daphnes. They may get better as they get more experience under their belt. Also, they serve the soup and salad with HALF a pita.

My buddy was raving about this place so we met here for lunch. Classic Mediterranean food. Order at the counter and take your number to the table for the food to be delivered. Excellent falafel appetizer but a very so-so gyro plate. The salad had a bland dressing, the rice was dry and tasteless and the gyro meat, while plentiful, was also dry and over cooked. A decent meal but not 4 or 5 stars.

I’ve been to Luna Grill on Balboa Avenue, Camino Del Sur, and Poway. The food is much better at those locations. Tonight’s rice was under-cooked, tasted old, and had hard pieces. The service wasn’t as good as the other locations either. I noticed that the kids working there tonight were talking loudly and laughing the entire time, including the manager in the red shirt. Also, I like me some Reggae music, but dang… do you have to blast it to the point where you can’t hear the person next to you? This location is not an 18-and-under club, it’s a restaurant… why the f#$k is a teenybopper walking around with a rubber band tied to the back of her work shirt showing skin? What a joke! For me to spend almost $ 40 to eat mediocre food and listen to a bunch of teenagers is annoying. I won’t be back to this location, especially after seeing the sanitary issues with the bus girl repeatedly placing the dirty dish bin on the seats, just to clear the table. Isn’t that common sense that you don’t do that? Well at least the bus girl knew how to wear her shirt properly… 2-stars for the pomegranate lemonade… it’s seriously crack… but I’ll get it from Poway Luna Grill instead.

I’ve never been a fan of Mediterranean or Greek but this place has me sold! I’ve been on a bit of health kick lately and this was place is perfectly suited for my new diet. I ordered a mahi mahi plate, opted for all salad with grilled tomatoes instead of rice and pita bread. The BF ordered a gyro plate. The plate was great overall except the mahi mahi was bit over seasoned with salt. It was a little better with the yogurt sauce on top. The salad was great but also a little over dressed with dressing. It was very refreshing and light. The food tasted fresh. My BF really enjoyed his gyro plate with rice and pita bread. Atmosphere was really relaxing and it had a great ambience. They have televisions around the restaurant. Well kept and very clean. They have a nice outdoor seating area too. Customer service is always on point here no matter which location I try. They check on you and the have table service. Great place to come for healthy fresh meals. We’ll be back!

Went in on Wednesday to order a kebab and I left with kebabs burgers and quesadillas! Wow this place is tasty! Allie Senteno helped me the entire time! She went above and beyond in her service! Pretty sure when she’s not busy modeling she’s working here and being the best employee possible Maral, Blake, Annie, Norman, and Gio all helped me too!

My fave entrée so far has been the chicken and gyro dish. And their rice– omg! So good. Very generous portions! Half bottle of wine available. Also, friendly staff and great service. Great ambiance for a fast casual eatery. My go to spot after hitting the gym next door. Highly recommend!

First time trying Luna Grill. I ordered the Greek salad with Gyros meat and a drink, paid over $ 15 for those two items which, to me, is a bit pricey for lunch. I was helped right away… unfortunately, the person taking my order was also the person taking phone orders… which meant I was interrupted on at least two occasions. I visited around 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon, the restaurant was not crowded… however, it took quite a bit longer to receive my food than expected. The salad was large but mostly greens… very little cheese, very few pepperoncinis and I had to ask for more dressing. The amount of Gyros meat was generous, however, it was dry… as though it had been pre-cut and had been sitting out. It was also very salty. The staff was friendly and helpful and readily available.

Located right behind(attached) the El Camino Real mall /new 24 Hour Fitness in Carlsbad, Luna Grill is a great new addition to the area. I had always known of the chain but it wasn’t until it moved in closer to me that I got a chance to try it out. My husband and I went together for our first time and both ordered a chicken kabob plate($ 10.50) — I added a veggie skewer($ 3.50) to mine and chose the grilled tomato for my side, and he added gyros meat($ 4.00) to his and opted for the grilled carrots. We were both pretty impressed with our meals, since we typically go to Daphne’s Greek Café for a quick, inauthentic Mediterranean/Greek dinner and are used to a more«fast food» feel. Our plates were filled with deliciousness — the rice was better than just plain white rice, the house salad was simple but the dressing made it a bit more interesting, and the pita bread triangles were a perfect touch. The chicken was tender, not at all dry, and well-seasoned. The veggie kabob was a bit soggy and watery, and the gyros were just OK. Wouldn’t order either of those again. Since my first visit with my husband, I have recommended Luna Grill to my coworkers and we have ordered from here at least 5 times in the past couple of months. It’s definitely a crowd fave! Some of us have gone outside of the box and tried the lamb and salads, all of which have been thoroughly enjoyed, but the chicken kabob plate is usually first choice for most. So long as we don’t all get too burnt out on Luna Grill soon, I expect we’ll continue doing lunch there for a while.

I have to say, this place is surprisingly tasty. In all honesty, I’ve never thought of Mediterranean food as being all that fantastic. But, with my main dishes being from Greek Corner and the occasional Gyro over at Angelo’s, I may not have been choosing the best examples. And after seeing this place so many times while going to the theater next door, I vowed to eventually come here for dinner. We started with the Spanakopita, or the Spinach Pie on some menus. The crust was flakey, lightly buttery, and broke up easily with each chew. The spinach mix was creamy, not overly salted, and tasted pretty good considering many would scoff at the thought of eating creamed spinach. It was a good, though not brilliant, start to the meal. I had the Gyro Signature Plate; a safe choice, I know, but I had to try it. It was surprisingly moist, where most times you would find the meat a little dry and coarse from over roasting, and not too salty(a common theme throughout dinner). Also on the plate were Grilled Tomatoes(sweet with a good char), Pita Bread(which there is never enough of), House Salad, and Basmati Rice(soft and delicious, plenty leftover from everyone for multiple servings of leftovers). My girlfriend sampled the Bistro Filet Beef Kabob. This was amazing, a delicious marinade, that made the beef exceedingly juicy, and a perfect char that gave her dish a great contrast in texture and bit of smokey sweetness to the edges. I could not believe how tasty her dish was. Add in some Onions and Bell Pepper that absorbed any drippings from the steak, and her plate was easily the best of the night. My son had the Cheese Quesadilla, which he ate about half of, and enjoyed a taste or two from other stuff on the table. He left his own salad and cucumbers on the side; I’m not entirely sure he was all that fond of their dressing. We finished up with a Red Velvet Cupcake which I didn’t have any of, but I was told wasn’t too bad. Looking at it, it seemed moist enough, though I also don’t think it was made on site. If it was made by some master kitchen and sent out to Luna Grill as part of their franchise, I’m not sure, though I hope it was puchased through a local vendor. So, all in all, a very good dinner. I’d be happy to swing by here again on a date night out to see a movie or just a quick lunch after a trip to the mall. It may not be an amazing experience all around, but it certainly impressed the fact that there is more to Greek food than Daphne’s and Angelo’s.

I hadn’t been to the Westfield Carlsbad mall in over a couple years. I was in town visiting my parents and I decided to take them to Luna Grill for dinner on a Sat night. LG is located right next to the Regal Theaters on the South side of the mall. Go thru Marron Road to get to the mall so you don’t get stuck in the cluster-f traffic in the main entrance. Sat night was super busy given the theaters are right next door. It was 630pm and the place was packed. Lucky we found a table since the line was long to just place an order. I gave 1 star less as the orders took forever to come out and there was only 1 register open for a line almost out the door. I ordered the gyro dinner plate with an extra side of pita. My mom ordered a chicken kabob and my dad ordered the gyro wrap. Everything was delicious. Basically you’re eating a more expensive version of Daphne’s. We enjoyed our dinner and the ambiance was really nice. It was kind of loud for conversations so don’t come here on a date. There are 2 TVs on each side of the restaurant for sporting events. There was football playing on both screens. Would come back if they picked up the pace!

I’m so glad I recently tried this newer Mediterranean spot in Carlsbad’s mall. It is fresh, healthy, and delicious! The family and I will definitely start coming here more often(we’ve already been twice in the last month.) Located right next to the entrance of the new Regal Cinemas in the Cbad mall, this restaurant is in prime location for those looking for a bite to eat either before or after enjoying a movie right next door. They have ample seating both inside and outside, taking advantage of the year-round comfort of outdoor eating here in SoCal. Inside, they have a counter where you place your order, then you find your seat and can enjoy the sports playing on their two flat screens on opposite walls of the restaurant. The décor is modern and unique, making the environment comfortable and gives you the feeling of a higher end restaurant, very nice touch. The food is delicious! And such big portions as well! I normally finish my food at most places, but both times I’ve gone, I have taken some food home to enjoy later.(It holds up nicely in your fridge for a day or two, if it lasts that long haha.) I’ve gotten the lamb kabob plate and gyro, both of which are absolutely amazing! They come with a side of their delicious rice, a salad, and pita bread. I have added their spicy feta cheese both times, which is the best feta side dish I’ve ever had! Add on top of that some beer and wine to pair with(in addition to a soft drink fountain and milks for the kiddos), and you’ve got the perfect meal! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because it gets a little noisy inside, which makes conversation difficult. But overall a very great place that we will continue to frequent!

I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened and I have no idea why I waited this long!!! Met a friend for dinner here and we both absolutely fell in love. We went in around 8pm and they usually close at 9 so it wasn’t as busy. We were greeted as soon we walked in, always a plus! The layout of the restaurant was great, plenty of tables-outdoor seating available too, and the hanging lights were my favorite! I loved the idea of the hanging silverware on each light fixture, so cool. I ordered the chicken kabob plate, priced at a good $ 10.95 and it was delicious. It’s a very big helping by the way-my friend and I shared the plate and we still had some leftover. The chicken was perfectly cooked and well flavored, the salad had an awesome dressing that I couldn’t have enough of, and the pita bread was just so good!!! My friend ordered the Greek salad and she loved it. You have the option of adding a protein at an extra cost but she didn’t-it worked out since I had a ton of chicken. They have a self serve soda machine, and a raspberry lemonade that was so fresh and delicious-paired well with my meal, wasn’t overpowering at all. I’ll definitely be back here to try more!

I had not been to the mall for some time now, so had no clue that this place along with some other known food stops were here. When you walk in you’ll find a eclectic and simple decorated place. Plenty of seating. I really like the layout of the place. It is a place where you line up and place your food order. You are given a number to place at your table and your food will be brought to you. Our food order was filled with plenty of flavors. Your salads are fancier than your side salads. You will be pleasantly surprised if you are looking for some flavor and if you are into mediterranean food. The ingredients are fresh and the food is served to you hot, or cold depending what you ordered. The desserts are good. Plan to spend a little more if you plan to dine here.

Nikola was our cashier and warmly greeted us upon arrival. First time here so wasn’t quite sure what to get. I wasn’t starving by any means but I was ready for something filling and healthy. I got the gyros meat and a small house salad and he even offered to let me try some of the spicy feta. It was delicious! My mom got the lemon and chicken soup and both our plates came with three pita wedges that were warm and nicely toasted. Food took about 5 – 10 minutes– it always seems longer when you’re hungry! Gave us free water cups, too. Great amount of food for what I paid. Great first impression! Will definitely be back! Pros: outdoor seating, TV inside if you wanted to catch a game and grab healthier food, bike parking nearby, right outside of the mall, near movie theatre, fresh/warm food, salad veggies were crisp, clean and perfect! Five stars for the gyros meat and the new spicy Feta! Cons: a little expensive– not over priced but a little higher than other places, warm inside-like muggy almost, unsure as to what to do with plates after… like leave them or take them in.
