Massage Carlsbad

I’ve been getting massages from Karyn for years now and cannot go to anyone else. I have a physical job and experience back and neck pain but since getting regular massages with Karyn I have felt so much better. Getting a massage can make people feel vulnerable but I have always completely trusted Karyn and felt comfortable with her. She’s the best!

I have been getting prenatal massages here for about the last 6 months. I highly recommend! I have been seeing Kristina and she is amazing. She is flexible and I truly believe helped minimize my pregnancy discomfort. I went to Hawaii and paid double for a prenatal massage and it didn’t even come close to this one! I really love the pregnancy pillows that you lie face down on.

I’ve been in to see Kristina twice so far and she is amazing! Can’t wait to go back! Wonderful experience

Brit was awesome! I’m currently at 33/​34wks preggo. Relieved to find out that they have the pregnancy belly mold cushions where preggers would be able to lie on their «bellies» without damaging the baby all the while having a great massage. Informed Brit that I came in to get rid of these horrible migraines. She listened, gave advice, and focused on these trouble spots. Def will be returning again for her no doubt ^-^

As an LMT myself I tend to expect more from therapist, and I was pleasantly surprised! When I explained my specific issues to Doug, he did more than listen he engaged and educated me with helpful corrections. I have not in 22 years found someone that listened and helped as much with just one session. Doug is amazing skillful, knowledgeable and capable. I highly recommend his expertise. Thank you for taking care of me Doug!

Britt is essentially the greatest thing since sliced bread when it comes to massage.
I’ve had serious muscular and disc issues since I was a kid and know my way around a masseuse office, but in all my years, Britt takes the cake.
She is extremely intuitive. This is an quality you need in a massage therapist. You don’t have to give her direction, she’s already there. She knows anatomy, she can explain as much or as little as you’d like. You can trust her to do work on you if you have an injury. I was extremely nervous to have anyone go near my back after I severely herniated two discs but she doesn’t aggravate or insist on trying to work on any areas you aren’t comfortable with.
You will walk out of there feeling amazing.
She won’t talk your head off if you just want to relax, but I personally love talking to her when you are up for some chit chat. She’s a sweet and awesome person and even though her schedule might fill up from these reviews, she deserves the hype because she can live up to it.
In terms of the other therapists, I have had work from at least two others a few years ago, they were great. I’ve referred several family and friends and they have always had good feedback. They do couples massages which are really nice for a birthday or anniversary. And they are very very well priced.

One hour deep tissue w/​Emily; she used a suction cup device along with the manual ‘hands-​on’ approach, she indicated the suction cup thing was what my back muscles needed. I was a bit underwhelmed, maybe I’m used to a ‘harder touch’ or something but I just did not feel like I was ‘worked’ that much. Next time I’ll try another therapist and see how she compares.

I came to Jenny at a verrrrry stressful time, and she turned so much around! I feel like I get a body transplant every time I visit her for a session. Magic hands
Especially with a back full of knots, and IT bands so bad people write medical papers about them… She knows exactly what to do (and what oils to use!) to get my body better.

Had a massage with Britt. It was amazing and one of the best massages I have ever had! I’m not from this area but I will be sure to stop in and see Britt when I do come down to visit. The place itself was clean and inviting. The owner, Doug, was friendly as well! I highly recommend.

Absolutely worth every penny! Britt seriously has magic hands. They’re strong, yet delicate and she seriously leaves you feeling the most relaxed ever!!! I keep coming back for more!
The place is always clean and smells good. Definitely an inviting environment. The music they play is relaxing. I just feel totally calm and relaxed every time.

Gina is amazing! I got a 1 hour deep tissue and it felt like 1 ½ hours worth of massage. I told her what areas were bothering me and she started with that first. Great massage with great service. Comfortable rooms and they have a private parking lot. Oh yeah, very good prices too!

This review is kind of over due, but none the less it was a great wxperience. We went around Dec 18^th. It was both my first time getting a massage along with my boyfriends. It felt so good, I wish I could afford to go more often but being a college student has its limits. I definitly recommend them to friends and family my body felt so good after, and I am a very tense person. The building does look small on the outside but once you go in its huge and they have it setup to where you can’t hear other people. Only one down fall is because they’re near a street that’s sort of busy, you can hear the trucks but I know they have no control over that so I wasn’t mad.

I have never had a massage before, so was a little apprehensive for it being my first time. I spoke to Brittney on the phone. She was very helpful and I ended up booking an appointment with her. Love how she gave me detailed info on what to expect as a first timer. The place is a little hard to find, so it’d be helpful if the owner could post better directions for people, as it made me a little late. Otherwise, I loved the products Brit used. She gave me an awesome massage and has made me a big fan of her as a massage therapists! I’ll be back! Thanks, Britt!

I have to say I was really disappointed with my prenatal massage. I was pretty excited about going there since the place had so many great reviews.
But the massage was anything but great. It did not feel like a professional massage and didn’t alleviate any of my sore muscles or pregnancy aches.
I also wasn’t a fan of the setup. The place is in a residential home, and the rooms aren’t setup very nicely. My room was close to the reception and the road, so I had constant background noise bothering me during the massage.
Next time I would rather go back to a more expensive place and get all the pampering and professional techniques that make it worthwhile spending the extra money.

Great massage, I really needed that. Four stars only because they wouldn’t do two hours! Wife loved the prenatal massage while I spent an hour trying not to fart (might be why they turned down second hour) Wonderful experience, great relaxing setting and tunes, I definitely recommend.

I came here to get a deep tissue massage. Instead I got a pretty light Swedish massage. I asked for more pressure but didn’t get much more. Also, this girl used coconut oil (about half a jar from Trader Joe’s) instead of massage oil. I felt so gross afterwards I had to go paper towel myself off in the bathroom. Not to mention that dipping her hands in and out of the same coconut oil jar between touching different customers is unsanitary.
HOWEVER, it sounds as though I may have had an anomalous experience. The owner just contacted me about my review. He stated to me that they have a policy to not use coconut oil and that the person who worked on me was not the preferred deep tissue person and shouldn’t have even scheduled herself to work on me. He offered me a full refund and was genuinely concerned with my feedback and how to make improvements for this particular person. It’s very impressive and exceedingly rare these days that a business owner would do this!
I would recommend that people give this place a shot since it is evident that the owner is very committed to customer satisfaction.

I’m 40 weeks and 5 days pregnant and have been so anxious, waiting for this baby. I saw good reviews for this place for prenatal massage and they’re all SO RIGHT. I was desperate to relax ASAP and they got me an appointment same day.
I got a massage from Brit, she was awesome. And I’m so excited I finally got to try one of those pillows that has a hole in it so I was able to lay on my belly for the first time in 10 months. Felt SO good to get the pressure off my back.
Only complaint is that the 1 hour went by too fast haha. Hopefully I won’t be pregnant long enough to get another prenatal massage, but I would love to go back for a regular massage.
Also, the price is totally reasonable — bonus!

I just had the best prenatal massage with Simone! I’m so glad I found this place! After a luke-​warm experience at another place that my husband gifted to me, I had been holding off on getting another prenatal massage.
Finally, at 28 weeks, the aches and pains of pregnancy got me to seek out a new place, and Massage Carlsbad had great reviews. I was glad I was able to get an appointment just a few days away for a Saturday.
When I arrived, I filled out my paperwork and Simone went to set up the room. I talked to Doug, who was at the front desk, and told him about my last experience. He let me know what to expect and made me feel comfortable.
Simone had set up an adjustable cushion under the sheet on the massage table with a hole cut out so I could lay face down with my baby bump. When I saw this, I knew they had A LOT of prenatal massage experience here. The last place I went had just a pillow to stick under my belly, and no pillow for my head, which certainly made it uncomfortable laying on my side the whole time. Simone eased into the massage, starting with gentle pressure and gradually adding more until it was just right. She spent a lot of time working on the areas that needed it most.
The other plus, is that Massage Carlsbad is fairly priced. $ 55 for first timers, and $ 60 – 65 for returning clients depending on your appointment time preference. I’m definitely going back!
