A guaranteed last stop at RMCF whenever I am at the Carlsbad outlet. This place rules and ROCKYS! More so than Godiva or See’s for me. WHY??? It’s their candy covered apples, pretzels, and bananas that do it for me! Plus, the staff is always so friendly and they slice my apples. I scarf the whole apple before I even get home. So convenient and delightful. Gotta try the chocolate covered orange slices next. GONOW I tell ya!

Went in and bought something for the first time today with a friend. We both got caramel apples. I got the apple pie caramel apple which is covered with cinnamon, white chocolate, and of course caramel. It was pretty good– I had to have each bite with a little bit of apple or it was super sweet. My friend got an almond joy-covered caramel apple. The outer coating was thick with chocolate, coconut, and caramel– so much so that she could barely finish it. She liked it though. There were a lot of unexpected types of caramel apples; I’m tempted to try to cheesecake caramel apple next. Yummmm.

Another Unilocaler recently pointed out to me that the bulk of my reviews suggest that I may have a sweet tooth. Baaaaah! How ridiculous! But as I’m typing this review, I can see the following accenting various parts of my beautiful mahogany L-shaped desk:(1) 5-pack of Cadbury Crème Eggs,(1) Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Larabar,(1) Gift Box of See’s Truffles, and(2) Peanut Butter Buckets from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. [sigh] I guess I do have a teeny-tiny problem. 8-| As I was strolling through the Carlsbad Outlet last Friday evening, I was somewhat bowled over when I unexpectedly discovered a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I LOVE their La Jolla location, and finding this little gem in Carlsbad was one of the highlights of my night. Of course, any visit to RMCF absolutely requires that I purchase a couple of their delicious Peanut Butter Buckets(now gracing my desk) and a truffle or two. This time, however, my friend and I decided to also try one of their chocolate-dipped oranges. Oh! I’m so glad we did. It was absolutely delicious. The female attendant staffing the counter was sweet, jovial and polite, thereby making our visit terribly fun, as usual. I just love these stores, and I’m happy to see that they are popping up all over the place. I do loves me some chocolate.

Want to be the hero of your work place? Bring in a few caramel apples from this place and leave them out to share. Instant friends! This is indeed a different place than a See’s or Godiva. Rocky Mountain makes their own Caramel Apples, Fudges, truffles and many other treats in house at every location. I should know, I was a cook here thru high school. Guys, stop in and get some exotic truffles and a teddy bear for the wife or girlfriend, or both. Girls, win you’re an over with a loaded caramel apple! Avoid the diabetes on the way out!

For around 5 – 6 bucks you can’t beat a caramel apple loaded with sweet treats. What is particularly cool about this place is that they’ll slice up the apple for sharing. One apple was enough of a treat for the whole family. — Mint bark. Yum — They don’t have vintage candies like some other sweet stores(no Big Cherry).

I’m a fan of Rocky Mountain, always a guaranteed pick-me-up from here. This particular location is small and their assortment of apples is limited as well. Still same assortment of chocolates as any other place but I’m all about the apples. Another bummer, they don’t take other Rocky Mountain apple punch cards. So I was issued a new card which I’ll use the two times a year I’m at the outlets! Bummer.

I had a sweet tooth this weekend, and I stopped by this place to get something chocolate and peanut buttery that wasn’t a Reese’s Peanut Buttercup. I bought these peanut butter bars that had a soft peanut cream I’ll call it, since it had a different texture than peanut butter. While I am not a chocolate connoisseur by any means, the chocolate taste rich and cost much less than Godiva a few stores down. I also bought a caramel apple for my lil sister for V-day, but I don’t know how that one turned out.

I definitely can’t be a regular at this place– everything costs an arm and a leg!!! But of course, for good reason. I bought a bearzel, which is a pretzel stick dipped in chocolate, topped with… okay, I really can’t remember. It had almonds, maybe marshmallows, and a caramel drizzle. The stick cost $ 3.25 and lasted an entire 30 seconds(I shared it with my boyfriend). The entire stick consisted of 6 medium-sized bites. The boyfriend had come back from work a couple of weeks earlier with a caramel apple from this candy store(someone at work bought it for him). It was definitely pricey, but the toppings were good. I’m a pretty picky apple-eater and will only eat crunchy apples, so it was minus a few brownie points in my book. I’ll be back once in a very long while… the prices kind of scare me.
