Windmill Cleaners

My in-​laws happen to live in this neighborhood next to this little gem. We had several events planned for the week and my hair essence spray happened to leak into my bag over the flight. Horrified, my silk dresses had oil stains all over them. I rushed them over to Windmill Cleaners and was assured they would be returned back to me looking like new. Not only were the dresses done in a timely manner. They were PRISTINE! Cost seems minimal compared to NYC. Loved the service at the front desk.

I’ve been bringing my clothes here weekly for the past 5 months, and the work has been just fine. Their same-​day service is solid and they don’t add a surcharge, however the drop off must be before 8am. The staff is friendly and make it a point to remember the names of regulars.
There’s nothing particularly spectacular about Windmill, but I recommend using them as a reliable, go-​to cleaner for business and casual clothes.

I don’t know why people are saying they have not had good service here. I have had GREAT service and have been using them for over a year. The clothes are ready when they say they will be, the girls at the front desk are super friendly and nice. And the place doesn’t stink because they do their cleaning off site using good products because I am very allergic and never have an issue.
I tried the Palomar Cleaners discount card and the first time I called the service was so bad I am running back to Windmill Cleaners!!!

Total disappointment. I have been a customer for 2 years till last week. Dropped off a suit and a dress on Monday. Came in a day after the scheduled pick up. The dress is not ready. The suit buttons have been corroded (a Calvin Klein suit, cleaned before with no problems). The gal at the counter gets defensive and says that the dress had stains. It didn’t. Then she admits that their machine broke down earlier that week and so they’ve had delays. Tries to blame the corroded buttons on the maker. Even suggests that I should take it back to the store (a year later? really?). Her tone was defensive and rude. So I call the manager, Steve. He offers to find me similar buttons for the suit but refuses to refund the cleaning. They screwed up and are not willing to pay $ 20 for all the inconvenience!
Save your money, save your clothes. Take your dry cleaning elsewhere!

I came to Windmill Cleaners after being recommended by a retail store at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. It was last minute and I needed a dress to be altered cause I am super short and clothing these days are made for taller women. I went in and missed the alterations lady by 20 minutes so I had to return the following day, which freaked me out a little cause I needed the dress to be altered quick. When I returned, I got fitted and was promised only 2 days for the alteration because of the amount of material. I was quoted $ 70 bucks and thought it was kinda pricey… I mean, I had paid a grip for my dress to begin with so I was kinda iffy… but I loooved the dress and I wanted to wear it so, I went ahead and gave her the OK! Boy, I was NOT disappointed! The dress was so amazingly altered, it looked like I had it bought it that way! Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back to get my clothes altered her and dry cleaned!

Not necessarily the best priced cleaners but very conveniently located next to 7 – 11 at an easy in/​out intersection.
Staff are friendly, clothes are returned clean, in good/​same condition, and never lost items (yet).
