Sevice is fast. The sandwich is not as toasted as I would want but it’s still yummy. Like the sweet onion sauce and all the veggies on whatever sandwich.

I’ve had great luck with almost all the Subway’s I’ve been to & mostly visit when traveling, because I can eat once/day, get a foot long BMT(the only Subway sub I’ve ever had), stuffed with every veggie available, so I feel as if I’m getting a salad with my carbs & bit o’ processed meat & am full for the entire day. Note: I’m a small girl, so perhaps this isn’t a 1 meal go-to for others, but because I shun carbs, in most cases, a long roll makes me feel comfortingly stuffed for the entire day, even if I eat it at noon. The subs here are made well(as usual), stuffed with plenty of veggies, so I was very full & the non-American staff did their best & were very kind to all who entered. Nice experience, nice sub & don’t forget to tip your sandwich maker when s/he makes a good sub & offers a nice experience… they earn slightly above min wage. At very least, leave them the coins from your change and/or offer a hearty thank you. They really do appreciate it. Nice location, nice sandwich, fast service… I like them & they’re also open 24-hrs. Very convenient, if traveling.

Glad I went to this location! I needed to grab a few sandwiches in the morning for a family outing that day. I had read that the other Carlsbad location had horrible service, so I went to this one and was not disappointed. The gentleman who assembled my sandwiches was polite, organized, quck, and professional. I was in and out with 3 sandwiches in about 8 minutes. thank you!

I frequently visit this Subway for a breakfast combo on the way to work. While I admit that they are not perfect, I do enjoy this branch more than others. My favorite employee is Jovani, who never fails to ask how my day is going while my sandwich is toasting. He seems genuinely interested and makes sandwiches efficiently while not rushing customers. Kudos to you, Jovani, and keep it up!

There is another Subway location just blocks away from this location. I work in the area and usually go to the other location on Avenida Encina’s. I now realize that this location on Paseo Del Norte is way better!!! Bread is fresh, friendly awesome staff and service(unlike neighboring location), and the actually have what is on the menu! Thank goodness for this subway location! I will be back frequently!

I ordered a BMT and asked for salami instead of pepperoni and the manager fool mumbled something unintelligible 3 times before I realized he was charging me $ 1.50 for that. Not extra meat, just salami instead of pepperoni. Fool. I eat this 3 days a week but I’ll go right up the street. This one has unripe tomatoes anyway. It’s sort of a skankfest. Store is dirty too. It’s just convenient. There’s a great clean one next to Rubios. I walked out.

Loved how clean the restaurant was and the service was very friendly, considering it was a holiday! Decided to stay and dine in :) My sandwich was just the way I ordered and tasted great

I am actually sad to write this review, as I sit in my car outside of Subway. I just stopped by for one little sandwich. A meatball sandwich. I walked to the restaurant and there are two employees. There is nobody else in the restaurant. I walked up, smiled, waited a minute and I was then asked, «what do you want?» I was actually so shocked at how I was asked, that I repeated it back to him and then he said, «yeah.» So I just ordered a meatball sandwich and you can’t really mess up a meatball sandwich, so the sandwich itself was good. He asked me if I want it toasted and I said yes. He toasted it and then he started wrapping it up I said I would like to please add some veggies and he looked at me like I was crazy. Super duper rude. No thank you, no hello, no manners. I think he was also new at making sandwiches, but there’s no excuse for being rude. That is the first thing when you hire someone! You have to teach them how to greet people, to smile etc, … then how to make the sandwiches. The other man was clearly older and possibly the owner or manager. He should have been ashamed putting this guy up in front, without at least going over how to greet a customer. I will not go back to this Subway. I am giving it two stars because the sandwich itself was good, otherwise it would be one star.

It’s subway. What can you say. I was greeted with a hello when I walked in, sometimes the line can be really long sometimes not. The sandwiches are typically good but It depends on who’s making it. Sometimes I feel like if you request to many weird things they are jerks about it but that’s whatever. I think they are constantly changing their prices and I don’t understand why because the sandwiches are always the same. Parking can be an issue at lunch time. They do have a small inside sitting area, nothing outside. I’m not sure if they have a bathroom(some don’t). Really like I said its Subway not amazing not horrible.

This subway always accomodates all my requests perfectly and since I come here all the time they remember my order which is great customer service. Yadira is new to this location I think but she is super sweet and is always in a good mood. I like to get mayo on the bread side and they always remember! Silverio I Think is the manager and he is very nice but he always seems rushed and kind of pushes the customers in and out.

The chopped salads at subway are my fav! And since I have to eat gluten free I can’t eat their subs so I always get the salad. When I get salads from other places I tend to eat the good stuff off the top and leave the majority of the lettuce. At subway I eat the entire thing every time! They chop all the«good stuff» up and mix it with the lettuce so it’s one big mixture of deliciousness. Add some oil and vinegar and salt and pepper to the mix and its salad heaven. About this location: the seating inside is limited. There are 2 booths and 2 or 3 high top tables. There are 42-seater metal tables outside which face the parking lot. Not a great view but good for enjoying the beautiful SoCal weather. The store was clean and the service was fast and friendly. Def a nice stop after shopping up an appetite at the cbad outlets! Ps…the parking lot has a charger station for electric cars.

I come here multiple times a week and it’s great every time. No complaints. It IS clean unlike some other reviewers think. And people there ARE friendly. Sorry they don’t seem happy-go-lucky when there’s 20 people in line wanting a sandwich for themselves and their mother, when they themselves are probably late for their lunch break and they will likely get in trouble for it. I think half of you jerks have never worked in customer service in your life, and need to. Anyways, I see the same 4 – 5 people there every week. Each of them have helped me multiple times. My food is good, the place is CLEAN, and the employees are just doing their job.

Clean. Fast. Friendly. I don’t know why this place has such low reviews. They had clean stations, gave a good amount of toppings and were friendly and polite. I’d stop off here again especially on those 1 – 5 road trips.

This restaurant has terrible customer service. I went in for the $ 3 breakfast deal, but since eggs don’t agree with my stomach I asked the girl at the counter to make it without eggs. She told me it doesn’t count as a breakfast unless it has eggs. ‘But I can’t eat eggs’, I explained. ‘Then you can’t do the breakfast combo.’ She said. I gave up and had her put the eggs on the sandwich and threw them out as soon as I got the sandwich. Stupidest thing I’ve ever heard– I won’t be back. Also, $ 3.75 for two thin slices of ham, a depressed piece of pita bread and a single slice of cheese? I could do that at McDonald’s and get it made without egg.

I wouldn’t normally take the time to write a review on a chain restaurant or store, but this Subway and the workers running it are some of the most pleasant people to deal with. It doesn’t matter if I stop by in the morning at 6a. m or for lunch at noon, Mario(manager) has this place running like clockwork and even when the line is to the door, you wont be there longer than 10 minutes. I was working down in Chula Vista a few months ago and the Subway I frequented would literally take 15 minutes per sandwich, so this location in Carlsbad earns every star. The guys and girls here are always in a good mood, or at least put on a good front, and the rush doesn’t seem to get to them. You go to a subway and you expect a quick meal with little hassle, this location gives you that and more. Five stars.

More emotional than usual… I love preparing quality sandwiches… and take pride in my sandwiches. Like in Full Metal Jacket, the movie; «This is my sandwich, there are many others like it, but this one is mine. My sandwich is my best friend. It is my life…» If you order Veggie sandwiches at any Subway… be prepared to get pissed, as you watch non-sandwich loving employees put fractions of an ounce of ingredients on your bread, and then carefully dole out minimal amounts of cheese slices. And THEN… watch how the person after you, who ordered a roast beef sandwich, gets all that meat and double the cheese… and pays either the same, or only a buck or so more than you! To make this even more upsetting… I violated my own rule; «Never, never, never waste your time filling out a frickin’ SURVEY… usually offered on the receipt !» They promised a «coupon reward.» Guess what class… after giving them enough critical information that would have cost them hundreds from a consultant… THEYFRICKIN’ REWARDMEWITH A COUPONFOR ***1*** COOKIE !!! And to top that off… it can only be redeemed at the Carlsbad, CA Subway! Hey Subway Jackass Marketing People… «I believe I gave you my zip code when I gave you my opinion. I live in the Laguna Niguel area!!!» Regardless… Do you mean to tell me you can’t afford to subsidize and make the coupon redeemable, minimum, at any SoCal location!!! Subway has now pissed me off through their short-sighted survey scam. They also never responded to my comments, which were about their Veggie sandwich standards. And I was pointing out, as a regular client, how they could improve their product. Sorry Subway… most of your locations are staffed by people that, in my opinion, don’t understand and appreciate sandwiches to begin with… which I can only believe based on how they prep a veggie sandwich.(less ingredients, no protein save for a few slices of cheese, and we have to pay the same as for a meat filled sandwich.) Nice… Staff here was OK… veggie sandwich was, well, you know how I feel about that… so 2 stars for just being there. Other than that… I don’t really have an opinion one way or the other. :-)

How can you give a bad review for a $ 5 footlong? I mean, seriously — so worth it! :) I can, however, review this particular Subway location. When you walk in, an employee shouts«Welcome to Subway!!», sounding like the guy who works at Pop Copy in the Dave Chappelle skit(Watch the skit: ). I am getting my oil changed across the street, so I don’t mind waiting in the line(4 people in front of me) for my sandwich… waiting…waiting…more waiting… thinking to myself, «I don’t know if I feel like telling the cashier that I got avocado…» Long story short, by the time I had my veggie sandwich on flatbread in my hot little hands, I saw my car already pulled around across the street with the hood open. ITWASFASTERTOGETMYOILCHANGEDON A SATURDAYTHANTOGET A SANDWICH! Seeing my hood open across the street made me dread walking back over there because I knew they would try to sell me something. So I decided to sit and enjoy my sandwich as I prepared myself for the unnecessary air filter I would soon purchase. Will I return? OFCOURSE! As I said before, $ 5 is a killer deal for a fresh meal on the run. Glad I wasn’t in a hurry that day!
