The Pinot here is much better than the Pinots at the other places around the block here. Sorry that I didn’t go here first and wasted $ at other tasting rooms

What a cute tasting room!!! Keith and Olivia were friendly and very knowledgable! Wine flight was ver good — my personal favorites were Pinot and the Chardonnay! And the best part it is right in the middle of town — can walk to it! Highly recommend stopping in!

I had read a lot about this place and was excited to visit. My expectations were high and i was very excited to taste here. We weren’t greeted quickly and we were just asked what we wanted. We chose a flight, I think over over priced but that’s me. We weren’t told anything about the wine, mainly bout the owner and his accomplishments. I was not impressed by the wine and I think there was maybe one I thought was alright. After some time, I was able to get Olivia to open up and talk with us. She was very sweet and kind.

You know when you’re at magic mountain and your in line for the batman or superman or whatever ride, and they’re playing the intense background music from the movie? That’s the feeling at Silvestri. They only play the scores from his movies! Which is amazing… But maybe not what you want to hear when drinking wine.

We became members here after our first visit in the first time we ever visited Carmel. There have been times when we think to maybe cancel given the number of memberships we now have; only to decide we can’t bring ourselves to do so each time we’re back in.
The wine is really great, particularly for the price point. One of our favorites is the Syrah — we always leave with at least one bottle.
The tasting room is very clean and appealing — and the service is always friendly. I always recommend this spot when people are looking for recommendations while in downtown Carmel.

Amazing wines! I joined the winery and this is only winery I have ever been to (Napa, Sonoma included) where every wine I tasted was a win! Plus, the wine club was super reasonable! I’ll be back soon-​amazing spot and great customer service

Love Silvestri wines, thats probably why I chose this place to be our first and only (currently) wine club membership. Always good and attentive service by the employees and always great wines-​just picked up my latest wine club shipment and can’t wait to try them!

Have been wanting to stop in here but always seems packed. Was lucky enough to get in today and so glad we did. Robin was delightful and very knowledgable. Walked out with 6 bottles, a wood holding box and a membership to their wine club! Thank you Robin for a delightful afternoon.

I hate writing this, but this will probably be my last time visiting the tasting room. It’s a true shame as I think the wines are very good. I went in for a tasting a couple of days ago during a short vacation. The same lady was behind the bar serving that I have seen before. The service was always poor at best, no matter how busy it was when I was there. This particular time the bar seating was full so she had my stand in the back which was fine, as there were no seats. She poured my first glass, and like usual, absolutely zero information about the wine she was pouring. I finished the first Pinot and it took 16 minutes (I timed it) to get her attention for the next pour. This would be totally understandable (still not acceptable) if she was running around pouring wines and working at max capacity, but she wasn’t. I watched the way she worked the bar very closely. She would never look beyond the bar, and she was very selective in who she looked at as to not take a chance in locking eyes with somebody that needed a pour. Even people sitting at the bar at to sometimes wave their hands to get her attention. This is either her inability to properly serve, or purposeful as to not work as hard as the bar demanded. This would be solved by adding a second person pouring wines. This was probably the 5h time visiting, and each time has felt like an inconvenience, even when I was the only one inside. The server was not personable, helpful, knowledgable nor willing to make sure glasses were full. It wasn’t until I read other Unilocal reviews that I realized it wasn’t just me. Love the wines, but the service and experience is the worst in Carmel without a doubt.

I admit that I am the Grand-​Poo-​Bah of Barbera snobs. Bella Grace makes some of the best in the world! This barbera was luscious, with earthy undertones on the nose and yummy raspberries on the pallet combined with vanilla and spice. Great service from Keith! Dont miss this winery when in Carmel. I dont need any wine and I had to get a half case. I need wine tasting supervision!

We decided to stop in while waiting to watch the sunset. The wine tasting was really good with delicious wine and great variety. The people were very friendly, and they allow dogs which is pretty unique. We walked out with 3 bottles of wine and huge smiles.

I stopped by over the weekend with my husband and in-​laws. We do a lot of wine tasting in the area and throughout California, and we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious wine. Everything we tasted was amazing, and extremely well priced for the area. You can easily pay double for a local Pinot Noir and it won’t be as good as the Rising Tide Pinot at Silvestri. The tasting room also had a wonderful, fun atmosphere, and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We were immediately greeted as we walked in the door, and the gentleman behind the bar was a wealth of useful knowledge. He answered all of our questions with a lot of detail, but without the snooty or condescending tone you can get at some other tasting rooms. We will definitely recommend Silvestri to any friends who want to do some tasting in the area.

We love wine tasting and out of all the rooms we’ve been to this has been the least impressive. Wine was ok. The lady pouring was not engaging at all. At no point did she ever feel the need to talk to us about the wines, except to point out out that the owner was some big Hollywood composer… no small talk, nada. The town of Carmel has plenty of great wineries with great character, this is the exception.

Wonderful experience and fantastic wine. There premier flight Chardonnay and Pinot were fantastic! Signing up for their wine club was a no brainer!

Some of the best wine I’ve had from the area. They have a great selection of wines all grown on their small property in Carmel Valley. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. A must stop if you are in Carmel.

It’s obvious what makes this place different from all the others. Yes, the décor was beautiful; yes, the wine was very nice; yes, the lady pouring did an excellent job. I shook hands with the maestro himself!

Great Pinot! Very knowledgable staff and very friendly. We had a newborn with us and it was not a problem for them and very accommodating. Bought a couple of bottles as a result. But their wines are also fantastic.

All of the wines were awesome! Must visit! All the price are excellent, even the retail price!
