One of my favorite watering holes. I actually live that I have no cell service in side and I can sit and have a beverage with friend and watch the game without a gazillion interruptions. The food is terrific. I live the cheese and meat platter and everything else I have tried here. Good wines and beer too.

Horrible service the bartender never looks you in the eyes whatever her name was today at 4:43 was absolutely was horrible! The manager on site did not turn on the propane heater after asking repeatedly. Will never go back. Always bad service for some reason.

One of the best burgers I have had in quite sometime, staff was on point in every aspect. Not to prices for great upscale service

This place gets five stars because it keeps getting better. It’s clean, has a great patio, and two of the best bartenders around. This review might be closer to a 3.5 if we are taking about the restaurant itself, but this review is intended for prospective bar patrons. Carmichael bars/restaurants are few and far between. You have to support these places and hopefully more businesses will follow(i.e. Milagro).

Awful experience here! The atmosphere is great, food mediocre, but the servers are what ruin it! Came for a quiet relaxing dinner here… Which unfortunately was not the case Started with the server who took our order, she was rude & acted like she was forced to be working there. Next another server swooped in, grabbed my plate to clear it right from under me w/out a word, then while my dad was still eating & we were still enjoying our drinks trying to have a conversation got interrupted by 4 different servers in the span of 5 mins asking if we were finished, needed anything else etc! REALLY! When I asked they not do that anymore & we were fine the last 2 were really snarky & rude! The manager wasn’t much better! If your looking for peace or a nice atmosphere… Don’t come here!

This place has a little something for everyone. It’s a safe-haven for the older and more affluent/established clientele base, but their bartender Eli keeps it fresh, funky, and youthful. He’s a hoot– just go. You’ll see what I mean. Good ambiance, pretty good food. Unique bar set-up in a square shape so everyone can see everyone. They also have booths– low and high– if that’s your style. Which it is mine, so I dig the option. All in all, good service, and almost never too busy.

I’ve been visiting Luna Lounge for several years now, which always offers great food, tasty cocktails, and a mini-high school reunion for us Rio grads. The recent change of head chef has been an absolute upgrade in the quality of food. And if you still have room for dessert, the pastries and cakes are some of the best in town. As for the late-night bar scene, I’ve never had a negative experience in my countless visits. The crowd is usually pretty mellow and friendly. Of course, the highlight of Luna is everyone’s favorite bartender, Eli. Despite his looks, Eli is actually a real pleasure to be around. It is more common than not for him to know a customer by their name, or at least their drink — and he’s always quick to welcome new guests as they walk through the door. I highly recommend Luna for lunch, dinner, or late-night!

Luna lounge is my favorite. The food is always great but the bartenders are what really make it. Ryno and Eli are, hands down, the best bartenders of sacramento. They make amazing drinks and, even when the bar is packed, they never let your glass go empty!

Delicious food and great service. Eli the bar tended makes a great drink and my glass is never empty. Even in a full bar, Eli keeps all of his customers happy and takes good care of them. I don’t know how he does it. The pizza here is delicious and I’ve fallen in love with the black bean quinoa burger(but the pizza is still better). Also, bottomless mimosas on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Patio is dog friendly.

First let me say– I HOPE my experience was horribly unique. This place has pretty good reviews overall so I was sorely disappointed after my visit. In a nut shell– décor is nice, love the outdoor seating. I can see the potential. HOWEVER– the crowd and staff… I am finding it hard to find words to describe how I feel. That bad? Yes. I walk in and head to the bar. It’s crowded, no biggie. There is some sort of back country argument between a patron and one of the bar tenders. While they back and forth about«why did you say she slept with him» etc, I am being completely ignored. The bartender actually leaves his post! The only other bar tender eventually asks me what I want, I get my drink at the same time the Parton who was arguing with the other bar tender is pulling of my sleeve to examine my tattoos. Weird… Pretty much the night continues this way. Second time I went in to have a drink they literally had stopped service because yet another customer was arguing with one of the bar tenders. There is a profound lack of professionalism. I sat out on a secluded patio seat the whole night for comfort reasons considering there were outburst of cursing and such between staff and client. I’ll add in one other side note– and I am kind of hesitant to say this but I feel it’s worth noting– as a non-Caucasian I did feel like the moment I walked in the door I had a sign on my head saying«All of you stare at me». The crowd was not diverse at all and people’s reactions to my friends and I being of a different demographic made me feel a bit off put. I don’t want to say much more about it. Just what I experienced that particular night. I can’t think of a reason I would go back…

I came here with my Boss for Happy Hour one evening after work. I am running out of places to review around my place of employment(especially those that serve alcohol) so I suggested we come here. I like the space. It’s rather oddly set up, so we ended up sitting behind the bar. They do have a nice patio. I was also the youngest person in the bar by at least 10 years. It was fine by me because I always prefer an older crowd, but if you don’t, this is not your scene. Food and drinks are not cheap. And there is literally nothing of value on their tiny Happy Hour menu. So, since the Boss was paying, we ordered off the regular menu. I ordered a White Linen to start. Now, I like to drink so I’ve had the White Linen at many places(Capital Dime, Ella, Shady Lady, etc) and this wasn’t it. I could have sworn(almost on my life) they made it with vodka instead of gin. Eh. My second drink was a Gin and Tonic which is my favorite drink. It was $ 10. It was good, but it was $ 10. I believe I had a third drink as well, but I’m not too sure. None of my drinks were on the Happy Hour menu. We also ordered their Spinach and Artichoke Dip for something to munch on. This again, was not on the Happy Hour menu. The dip portion was really good, very cheesy and yummy. But they served it with potato chips which stood no chance against the rather heavy dip. The chip to dip ratio was also off so we quickly ran out of chips before dip. We had to ask for more. Bread would have been a better choice. Overall, everything was good and we had a great time. Would I come back? Yes, but only if someone else was buying. Too rich for my blood. Oh, and this bar does have a huge Sierra Oaks/Arden Park following if you know what I mean. This, is definitely not my scene.

Came here for the first time almost a month ago and this place was genuinely great! The waitress was extremely friendly and even helped us snag a booth inside after she warned us that it get’s super chilly outside at night. The food was pretty good, a nice touch of finesse to each plate(my only complaint was that my garden vegetable spring pasta seemed to lack any type of salt), and it is incredibly difficult to pass on the«Wednesday Wine Night» where a full bottle of wine is half off! Overall, nice ambience, not too loud and great service. It is incredibly nice to have a late night lounge to hang out in around this area!

We planned to go to Matteo’s(in the same shopping center as Luna Lounge) for dinner at 7:30 Friday night, but it was so busy we couldn’t even get a bartender to take our order, much less look at us, so we could have a drink while we waited 30 minutes or so for a table. We walked to Bella Bru/Luna Lounge to get a drink while we waited. Bella Bru was about ½ full and quiet, but as we walked into the adjacent Luna Lounge, the crowd and noise level picked up several notches. We sat at the bar initially and the very friendly bartender took our beer orders. A nice woman one stool over suggested a certain beer on tap and I ordered it without asking for a description. It was not to my taste at all and when I appologetically told the bartender, he said it would be no problem to pour me a different beer. Very customer oriented and I appreciate that. We decided to stay for dinner and had a very enjoyable meal in a booth. Devon was an excellent waitress and kept a close eye on our food and drinks to make sure we never wanted for anything. The crowd and noise increased as we were there… lots of folks having a good time. Afer our meal, we walked out through Bella Bru and it was even quieter than when we first arrived. Depending on your tolerance for noise, it might be a better choice for dinner, especially if you are more interested in listening to your dining companions than in hearing multitudes of happy folks having a good time.

This should be a great place for a quiet drink… Small, clean, in a good neighborhood, attached to a tony café. But quiet drinks are not on the menu tonight. The bartender is loud enough to hear from the parking lot. She’s the person who, in a packed auditorium with everyone screaming at the band, still manages to be heard on stage. It’s impressive, in its own way. She’s pleasant and friendly — maybe a touch too friendly if you’re not used to be called ‘my love’ upon first meeting — but she is also incredibly loud. I get that some customers will like this. I get that she didn’t choose to have the voice she has. But when you put this, um, unique voice together with the volume, you have a choice of putting in your earbuds or hearing every syllable of every exchange with every customer ringing off all four walls. Wait… Earbuds are in and it made little difference. I still know all about her dog’s Christmas outfit and the floor mats she needs for her BMW.

Happy to report on follow-up visit that the service from seating to food service was excellent, a dramatic improvement! Food was great and atmosphere can’t be beat!!!
