New Rice Bowl Express

Probably my favorite Chinese place. I get the orange chicken over white rice and it’s amazing every time. Huge plate for about $ 7.50 plus the food comes out very quick. If you want quick, delicious and not to expensive Chinese food this place is where you go.

We ordered take out and it arrived in 15 mins but when we ate it the egg fu young had a rubbery consistency not like the way it was in past

I used to really like this restaurant, until today.
I sent in an order at 6:34 that I was told would arrive at 7:00. I waited. 7:15 rolls around, I decide to call in. The owners wife answers the phone, stating that my driver has already left with my food. Now I live no more than a few blocks from this establishment, so I thought: «Great! 7:20? A little late, I can deal with it because I’m starving, it’ll be here before I know it.»
So I wait. 7:35. Nothing, I call in to an apology of «sorry we’re busy, but he’ll be there soon.» Previously being a delivery driver myself, I know that you go from closest delivery to the farthest. My food should have definitely been here by now…
I wait. 8:00, I call in again to ask if I can get a refund or a discount for my food taking so long (over an hour on a delivery less than a half mile away, this is pretty standard), she states that I have to wait for the driver to get there. At this point I had already planned on ordering from somewhere else, so this was a huge inconvenience to me.
So, at 8:37, the delivery driver finally arrives, 2 hours and 3 minutes after I placed my order. And tells me that I can either pay for my food, or get a full refund and they will take my food back. The food was still rather warm, but by no means fresh. Now irritated, I called them and talked to the owners wife again, requesting to be able to keep my food at a discount, for the horrible wait time… She states that she is sorry, but I cannot get a discount and if they refund my money they have to take the food back. I waited until 8:30 to eat my dinner that was supposed to arrive at 7:00, and now I have to order something else, because you can’t make it right? I can understand 20 minutes, but over 2 hours for an order?
$ 15 a week, every week? You couldn’t make your customer happy once, so you lost about $ 800 in yearly business.
I will never eat here again. Blue Sky is a little more expensive, but I’ll pay for customer service, if I’m paying $ 3 for a delivery, I’m expecting it to be here in a timely manner, and if it isn’t, I expect free food, or a hefty discount. Especially since your delivery driver was stoned as hell and probably took a smoke break between every delivery.

I had a client in the area and was craving Chinese. I actually went to a restaurant across the street, sat down, then saw a roach crawl across the table and immediately left!
This place was great. Really flavorful food, large portion sizes, and $ 5.95 — $ 7.95 for lunch specials, the staff was friendly and smiling plus they have Thai tea… YUM! I wish they were closer to me.

Large portion size, good, hot food. Tons of variety in what you can order, quick service. I have enjoyed myself every time I’ve been here.

. I ordered the Nabeyaki udon for something light. Food came out quickly. For dine in customers, they dare to charge a 10% dine in fer which I’ve never seen. The udon was clearly prepackaged, prepared with powder beef bullion. The chicken was tough and tasted previously frozen. Even the fried tofu was tough.
I suggest you skip this place and go to panda express. At least, the food is fresh.

The rice and veggies were actually delicious, but the beef was not the best quality. It was stringy, chewy, and at times I had to spit in the napkin. The other stuff was good enough that I’d be willing to try again, but it was terrible beef.
Also, the staff started eating lunch in the table next to me while I was eating, then they would leave when a customer came in and then go back to eating right next to me. I can’t decide if this was cool or kind of off putting

This place sucks! Blue Sky Chinese Restaurant is way better, cheaper, yummy, and bigger portions!!! Check for yourself!!!

Absolutely terrible customer service. I placed an order over the Internet. Not only did I not get what I ordered. I got extra things I did not order. When I called them, I was told it would cost me $ 4 to correct their mistakes. What is the big deal to make a customer happy. It’s only $ 4. This will be the last time I ever order from this place. After being a customer for 5 years or so, I have a hard time accepting this kind or disrespectful activities. To make a point I just put all their food down the disposal. $ 50 down the drain!

This place is great for takeout or delivery. The restaurant itself is not that nice of a place to dine in at, but the service is good, despite the lack of ambiance. The pot stickers, teriyaki egg rolls, house special chow fun, curry chicken and general chicken are my favorites. But, I really haven’t had a single thing at this place that wasn’t delicious. I noticed recently that the prices went up, but it is worth it. They give very large portions, so you can get about 3 – 4 meals from one dish. Because the portions are so large, this would be a good place to go family style and share dishes.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and am still happy with their food. I love that they are able to prepare my food quickly. I often bring friends there to eat lunch (never a complaint). Will continue to come back. Their food is delicious.

Coworkers swear by this place. I saw old Unilocal reviews and was highly skeptical, but coworkers tell me a recent convo with the owner revealed management has since downsized locations to focus on quality.
It was recommended to try the general chicken rice plate. When I ordered it in person the woman behind the counter took one long look at me and probably assumed since I am super fair (hey I’m building a base tan slowly ok? Lol) that I can’t handle spicy food.
«General chicken really spicy!» she barked at me.
«Good. I like spicy,» I replied.
«Really really spicy!» she says. Is this a warning?
Um yeah it wasn’t spicy at all. But it was damn good and was enough food to feed three people.
I will be back to try something else. But I will be ordering via phone to get spicy next time.

Just ate at the rice bowl and I must say yummy the quality of food here is definitely excellent customer service out of this world. What I come up again yes sir yes ma’am thank you for being who you are.

I truly believe in supporting small business, and every time I come I always get good service and good portion of food. I like the home like feel. Every time I think of take out and relaxing day at home I think of new rice bowl.

I bought $ 40 worth of food, took a bite of everything and it was the most disgusting food I have ever had in my life. Carmichael food sucks! Ugh im so disgusted just having this aftertaste in my mouth. I would consider 2 stars for customer service, but good customer service would have been telling me to do myself a favor and get out.

We have eaten here for the past two years and love it. Friendly, fast service. Every dish we have tried has been very good. I would recommend this place without hesitation. Very nice people as well!

Try the Wor Wonton soup.
Sliced chicken breast.
Tasty shrimp.
Veggies are fresh.
Large won tons.

I have been going to this place since it opened. Last week I went in here and ordered the sesame chicken combination. I’m enjoying the meal when I bite into the egg roll and bite down on what feels like a rock. I spit it out and its a piece of cement about a square inch big. I then alert the waitress about this and she takes it away laughing unapologetically. Not trying to make a scene I get the check and pay the bill. Still no apology or even compensation for eating food that must have been dropped on the floor. After I leave I checked the mirror to see if I have chipped a tooth because of the hard bote into cement. Sure enough my k9 had been chipped. I called back and the owner just gives me a number to his insurance company. When I call they say I am not allowed to take to them and the owner should have called them then the owner will call me. Waited a week no call. Not sure if I even have a case now with no proof. Not trying to make any money off the claim. I’m just without dental and need my tooth fixed.
Summary is I don’t trust the sanitary of their food, or the social responsibility of the owners. Now I will live my life with a chipped tooth thanks to them.

PLEASE DONT GO HERE! I came to this little place after YEARS of not going here and now I remember why. I walked in and automatically was rudely looked at by one of the waitresses. I took a menu, looked over it and wasn’t too impressed… High priced food that really didn’t look too appetizing. But having hope and seeing all the good reviews I got some stuff. I was upset when I found out I had to get a big hot and sour soup and that there was no small ones for a smaller price. But I got it anyway since to me it is a staple in any Chinese meal I have. I also got some salmon sushi and teriyaki chicken over rice…
After getting the food I checked to make sure I got everything right. They did. But the salmon looked weird. So I tried a bite of it before I left … It was warm and it didn’t sit in my stomach right so I left it there!
Going back home I discovered the soup tasted like DISH WATER! I TOOK ONE SIP AND I WAS DISGUSTED! The only reason I have this place 2 stars instead of one was because the chicken and rice was not took bad at all…
Please be aware that this place probably only has like 3 good things and the rest is pretty much crap… I’m sorry
