Ty and Steven treated us with respect and did a fantastic job on both of our cars! Bring your car here if you want it done right… they also did extra things and didn’t charge us! They are awesome and Stephan need a raise! Great honest people I’m so glad I found this place!

I would not return here or recommend this place. This is the first time ive ever been to a shop for an oil change. My tools were stolen. Anyways. I was already embarrassed so the guy assumes I’m clueless. He then charges me $ 76 for an oil change. I said I thought it was $ 20 like online. He said no I have a high milage car and that he’s already giving me a discount for being a first time customer. I’ll give them credit for being fast but he didn’t know what he was talking about. He also told me I needed a new clutch and that it would be $ 1100. I knew I didn’t so after getting a second opinion, it ended up being a coil for $ 47.

I would not recommend this shop. They told me that my transmission fluid was low and that it needed a flush/​filter change that would cost $ 200. The problem is my transmission does not have a dip stick to check the fluid level and is a non-​serviceable unit. Shame on you Quality!

I’ve been going to these guys for a few years now. Not once have they treated me poorly. These guys do NOT do just oil changes, I have had experience having them work on multiple problems! My car had been close to failing smog for 4 years straight. When it finally failed I had QTU replace my Catalytic converter, at the same time they also installed a new/​used transmission. No problems at all with the work done, or the price!
Just a few days ago I went back and had my front axles replaced along with an oil change and not only was the price a few hundred dollars cheaper than I anticipated, but the work was done quickly and with a great attitude. To everyone at QTU that I have had the pleasure to work with, thank you!

This shop has all new staff which disapointed me because I really liked Mario and Dwight. Steve the new Service Adviser was very professional and helpful. I was very concerned about a sound coming come from my Subaru, but after a thorough inspection and a few tests, every ran to factory specifications. I really appreciate the honesty!

I called them on the phone and they told me I would not need an appointment but to come in at 3 PM. When I showed up they said I’d have to make an appointment for Monday. After explaining to them that they had already told me I could come they offered to take me but I’d have to wait for two hours, I drive 30 minutes to this place and they just didn’t care at all. Horrible business and I would never go back, very dissatisfied.

The team at this shop works together to give you the best service possible. They are not just a smog and oil change group they address all of your car’s/truck’s issues. Since taking my car to them for brakes, timing belt, and a valve cover gasket replacement, it runs like a dream. If you want to entrust your vehicle to a fully capable and knowledgeable staff then take it here and leave your worries behind because they will get the job done successfully.

This is the only location my family & I use. Mario is very knowledgeable & friendly. He always takes care great care of our vehicles.

Thank you so much Dwight for helping me with my smog failure I was amazed by how fast and efficient he was at fixing my car it ended up needing a catalytic converter but in less than three hours had it fixed and gave my a certificate highly recommend Dwight at Quality tune up in Carmichael Thank you again.

I had a very good experience at this auto shop. I definitely would recommend everyone go and get there smog check done here. The customer service was excellent and their prices weren’t too bad. Tried to go to Horizon Smog but they were rude and unhelpful so I happened to be driving by this one and went in. It only took 1 hour for them to smog my car with no waiting. Michelle at the front desk was exceptionally friendly. I recommend them definitely.

I’m quite surprised to see that this place has received such praise. My girlfriend took her truck here for a simple smog check, and what followed was a blood-​boiling her deal for her and her parents. Bottom line: They were completely dishonest about her vehicle’s problems and tried to push them into pricey, unnecessary repairs.
Here’s what happened: She took her truck in for the smog check. They ran the test and told her it failed — but they said they couldn’t tell her why it failed. However, they said they would be happy to inspect it … for $ 200. She declined the offer, opting to instead confer with her parents, who are very knowledgeable about cars.
Her parents took a look, found a problem with leaking coolant, and filled it up. They then took it back here for the «free» re-​test. When they arrived, they were told there was just one person ahead of them and that it would be a few minutes. More like two-​plus hours — for no explicable reason.
Finally, they saw that the staff had moved the car into one of the bays for testing (in plain view). But soon after, the staff moved the car deeper into the shop, out of sight. After perhaps twenty or so minutes, my girlfriend’s mom stormed to the back to see what the heck was going on, because a smog check should not have been taking so long.
She arrived to find three of the staffers peering into the truck beneath the hood. She said that the moment they saw her, two scattered and the third approached her and demanded to know what she had done to the vehicle since the last visit. She said the timing was now off. Thing is, there hadn’t been a timing problem on the previous visit, and nothing had happened to the vehicle in the meantime. It must have been been magic gremlins …
Anyway, her parents took the car immediately and went to a mechanic they knew and trusted. The vehicle ended up passing without any problems.
Two lessons here: Avoid this place like the plague — and when you get a smog check, go someplace that only does smog checks and not repairs.

Fast and friendly

Do I dare give five stars to an oil change business? Having been burned by their competition down the road, I tried out this spot twice before writing a review.
Dealt with Mario both times — he really appreciates my business. I like that! First time, I got a travel coffee mug, which I actually use. Second time he recognized me as having been there before and thanked me for returning.
I called ahead of time to see what the wait would be, he said he would be able to squeeze me in no problem. Right on the money, I was out of there within 20 minutes. Of course, the usual sellups were offered: change air filters, brake fluids, etc. He also noticed that coolant levels were low, which was something I had picked up on recently.
The whole thing with tax came to about $ 21. Sure you can get deals here and there, but I prefer convenience and being appreciated as a customer.
The lobby area is clean, they have a flat screen TV, coffee, water and free WiFi. I also noticed a female mechanic on staff, which is a plus in a my book.
