Awesome Fall Festival and for such a great cause! The kids loved the petting zoo, marshmallow roast, and of course the pumpkin patch!

What a magical place!!! Camp Korey is a non-profit that serves children(and their families) living with life-altering medical conditions and chronic illness. During the 81-week summer sessions and 10 family weekends, these kids get to enjoy an over-the-top sleepover camp experience that wouldn’t typically be available to them if it were not for Camp Korey and the incredible volunteers, donors and staff that make it all possible. Boating, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, crafts, stage night, high-ropes course(to name a few)… all in one of the most beautiful settings Washington has to offer. They also have an amazing farm-to-table program… The kids spend time in the organic garden… Smelling, tasting, touching and learning about all the different produce that is used in the preparation of their healthful and fun meals. Camp Korey also hosts several community events(such as the recent Fall Festival) throughout the year… So keep your eyes open for opportunities to experience camp for yourself. There are also many, many volunteer opportunities, if you are looking to give to a great cause.

We went to the pumpkin event here at Camp Korey and ate pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, went through the corn maze, had s’mores, and went on a hayride where we even saw some deer. It was good seasonal fun and helps a good cause.

I just got some updated info on Camp Korey… Camp Korey is actually a «threshold» member of the Hole in the Wall Camps that Paul Newman founded, but it is run and financed independently. They are currently raising funds to cover the Farm mortgage and make capital improvements to Camp. Help them out!
