First time having lunch here. I had the small Cobb salad. It was very good. Plenty of toppings. I also had their tomato basil soup. Really liked it. It had a ton of flavor and not heavy cream based. My husband had the taco salad. It was beautiful with a nice display of avocado on top. We will be back again soon.

Charlie and I went for their Spaghetti meatball Wednesday. Wonderful savory meatballs and sauce. The homemade garlic focaccia bread was soft and tasty. Had paleo chocolate cake with strawberries! So good! Loved it and will definitely go back. John the waiter was very good!

A hidden gem. We couldn’t get a table near The Falls and driving home gave this place a shot. My goodness the food and atmosphere are the best. I may never choose to eat in North Bend again. One warning, save room for dessert!

Fantastic breakfast, love the space and the open kitchen. We live in Woodinville but will return to try dinner. I hope carnation supports this great restaurant!

Been here several times. Food OK. Took 3 others tonite, all dishes disappointing. Sadly wanted this to be so much better. 2 ordered the shrimp fettuccine and both persons thought the flavors were good, the shrimp had full on shells. Messy eating for fettuccine Not O, only the tails should have been on. Now I ordered the appetizer: chicken egg rolls, all were over fried, very dark brown and too dry couldn’t even eat. Sad. They offered to redo them but given my grand daughters chicken strips were presented in the same condition, well I simply lost me appetite. There have been a couple restaurants in this same location, but we so wanted this to make it. As a local not sure i can support it. I will say they adjusted the bill accordingly but still the taste is in our minds and mouths.

I had the most delicious fettuccine alfredo I’ve ever had in my life here. It’s not currently on the menu, but I was in the mood for it and asked if the chef would make it off menu, which he did. It’s clear he whipped up the sauce from scratch — the freshness of the butter & cream shine through — and I was tempted to lick the bowl clean when I was done.(I resisted, but it was that good.) A fine friendly place to eat in downtown Carnation.

Again, we had great service and great food from the Carnation Café. I’m hoping this place remains a fixture here, the food is awesome, the service is great, and I think they make a great addition to our community. Keep up the great work!

What a find this place was! The Carnation Café is several notches above your typical café. My wife had the ribs and the serving was so large that she couldn’t finish — don’t worry, I was there to support her through the end of the meal. I had the Chicken Marsala and couldn’t have been more impressed by how flavorful the sauce was and how fresh the side vegetables were. I took my entire family and the staff was very accommodating for my young children. I will definitely be back!

This is for the NEW Carnation Café. I have gone many times and finally getting around for a review. Different style but just as good. I usually order the Eggs Benedict, Reuben or French Dip. This weekend my friend and I went there for dinner(Friday night). Since we go there enough, they know our names and give us the booth we normally sit in. Water was quick to arrive and kept full. The French dip was very tender and loaded with meat. It is on the lunch menu and not on the dinner menu but they made it for me. Bread was soft and grilled and had a nice buttery taste. Salad on the side was heaping and coated just right with the dressing. The Au Jus was piping hot. My throat is sore but this meal was so tender that I was able to eat most of it and besides it was just tasty. My friend got the burger and it was thick and cooked like she ordered it. It was huge and very juicy. She got the side of homemade chips and they were excellent. Then we all went back on Saturday as we had a friend from out of town. I got the eggs benedict. It was two huge, heaping muffins with sauce, tow huge eggs and tons of thick sliced ham and tons of breakfast grilled potatoes… lots of leftovers and a meal for the next day. One friend had the spinach omelet scrambled eggs and it was full of spinach. She loved it. the other friend had the chicken friend steak. Normally, it seems the chicken fried steak has too much breading, thin steak and greasy. Not here… steak was cut in three pieces and thin crust and lots of meat. Gravy had a hint of spice but not overbearing. She loved it. Prices are a tiny high but I am happy with food and service so it is worth it. They seem to try to make sure you are happy. Our drinks were always full and they came by often to make sure were happy. We boxed up our leftovers and ate them today. They haven’t been open long and still may have a few bugs but overall, they are trying. The stop to see if you are happy and will fix any issues. The cooks will come by your table for feedback. Servers are right on and happy. They also offer fresh made dessert and we got the lemon meringue tart… OMG, it is fricking light, tasty and just a slice of heaven. Be sure to get that and don’t share… eat it all yourself!

Update, went back as I said I would to try their hamburger and it was AWESOME! Very flavorful, tender and the crispy onion toppings is a nice twist. The Roasted Dip sandwich was also a hit. Very-Very tender beef and pure beef — did not find any fat and it was not grainy. The person who ordered it said it was the best Roast Dip sandwich he has ever had(he’s had quite a few). French fries are skinny, made to order and crispy(I ordered them well done, just my preference). I’m looking forward to come back and have the steak dinner I had last time. If you’re looking for a meal that makes you go «Mmmmmm» at the first bite, then this is the place to dine.

I wasn’t expecting Italian food, but was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the rigatoni and meatballs were. Came with fantastic toasted bread. Marinara sauce had a little cream in it, which added to the taste. Eggplant parmigiana was also fantastic. Carnation has an outstanding new restaurant!

We had lunch at the café today while driving through the countryside. You will find it clean, neat and everyone is very nice and friendly. My wife and I both had the pulled pork sandwich and it was great. Their desserts look wonderful, but we are watching our weight. Well worth the stop and I put this place up against any diner or café I’ve ever been to. You should try it.

Great service, really good desserts. We went here for dinner and it was pretty good. Really want to come back for breakfast, we have heard really good things. I think that the new owners are really doing a good job so far, hope to see this place continue to succeed. One more great restaurant in Carnation!

We have had a number of meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — since the recent reopening under new ownership — an owner-chef by the way. Rough edges at the beginning — sure, but handled professionally. Service is always good, wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food comes out timely. Serving sizes have always been plentiful and the quality good. Sounds like Katie W. 7÷28÷2015 — 1 star — was in a different café in some other town.

Well there was a lot of hype on this grand reopening of the place. I was visiting from AZ and looked forward to an olé café style meal. It is an upgraded Denny’s at a high price. I got a French dip and drink and tip was $ 20. The dip was about $ 12 or so. Deli type of meat with a glossy shine to it(unnatural color) and limp bread. Not much to the sandwich at that price. I got the side of salad and dressing was mixed in salad and not much salad. The meal was like a upscale Denny’s French dip… not much and pricey for what you get. It was like a French roll you get in the six pack at the grocery store. Not much taste to it. My friend got a salad which was mostly iceberg lettuce… really, cheap lettuce at a high price. The fixings in the salad were bare and the ham looked like it was out of a package. And for the price she didn’t get much. Very disappointing. I looked at the other meals that went by and nothing stood out. Meals looked marginal for the high price. For a place that charges $ 12 for a sandwich you should get a quality sized and tasty meal. The waiter said the chef was some fancy chef that was rated 5 stars… seriously? He maybe rated five stars but his meals are subpar. I expect the locals will not frequent this as prices are high and meals are small. I did go over across to the other restaurant for dinner that had a French dip that was superb. It was Farm table restaurant. Perhaps the Carnation Café chef should wander over and get a few tips on how to make a mouth watering, must return to eat meal. This is not an old style café but more a wanna be high end restaurant that falls flat on food. At least the service was good and we got free refills on our drinks.

Tried to take the family here three times. I have no clue what their hours are. They surely are not the ones listed here. I don’t think I’ll try again.

I have lived in carnation for 20 yrs I am pleased that we are getting a couple of quality restaurants that I feel comfortable inviting my friends to. It is very clean and new. I ordered the crab cakes and spinach salad They were home made, not greasy and very full of flavor They have a good healthy selection along with some classic meals I will be back
