One of our faves! Brunch is awesome! The slab table is gorgeous & the hometown welcome is priceless! We love that we can get locally grown eggs, butter, honey & charcuterie here too! It’s a gem!

This is the best breakfast on the east side! It’s a must try. The food is reminiscent of your grandmothers kitchen; artfully crafted jams and preserves, and yet eloquent enough to be a French café. They serve real food that makes a lasting impression.

Hoping for an incredibly long wait for overcooked food? This is the place for you! Everyone else– steer clear. We ordered ‘the Healthy’ Eggs Benedict and the Mac & Cheese. We were there with our toddler and ordered milk for him. I asked if they had any kid-safe cups and the woman said«I don’t know what you mean by that». Umm okay so your answer is no, then!(It came in an open cup with no lid or seesaw– definitely not kid friendly). Also, there’s no kid menu… Really? Huh. We probably should’ve taken that as our hint to leave. Alas, we didn’t. Seating inside is mostly communal(one big table) with a few smaller tables. There are picnic tables out front. We opted to sit outside because the inside was so smoky and hazy from the kitchen. They had the front doors open, but really needed to open some windows to ventilate. Hint 2 that we should’ve turned and run. Waiting outside… Well at least the weather was nice, mid-60s fall weather. After 30 minutes of trying to keep our toddler entertained, we tried to ask how much longer it’d be. 10 minutes later(!) we managed to flag someone down and asked to just put it in a to go box. My husband said they had just started on our order and it looked like the cook was making One. Order. At. A. Time. Eventually(45+ minutes after ordering) we got our food. By now our toddler was nearing meltdown stage — I was amazed he put up with it as long as he did. Get to the car and try to eat– ha! Never mind. I cut through the egg and it was rock solid. Not quite what you are looking for in eggs Benedict. It was also topped with a copious amount of pepper, and missing the balsamic sauce it supposedly comes with. Okay… I turned to the potato cake thing. Too bad the menu didn’t list ingredients– it had some sort of pepper in it, which I’m allergic to. Great. My $ 12 dish? In the trash. Sadly we were not the only family treated this way today. Three other tables made comments like«oh wow you’re still waiting for your food??»(They had come in after us). The table next to us packed up to leave and said«never again. We waited way too long for overcooked food.» What a huge disappointment. I love the farm to table concept– but the service & speed is ridiculous.

A true hidden gem. From the farm fresh ingredients to the homey atmosphere… This has really set the tone for the rest of my day. Will definitely come back again when in the area. Make sure you try the garlic fries on the side.

This place is a total little treasure!!! The food is sooo wonderful! We came for brunch and they did not disappoint. The bacon comes Out as this meaty slab that is perfectly caramelized. FARMFRESHEGGS!!! Everything was yummy and the family running the place is as sweet as this little town. We will trek ourselves out to carnation from Seattle again because this meal is soooo worth it. Can’t wait to try the lunch menu!

Based on some pretty glowing recommendations, three of us made it a priority to have breakfast here after a camping trip to Tolt MacDonald. I’ll just recount the facts of our experience. My girlfriend ordered the Heathy Benedict. It arrived with poached eggs that had entirely solid yolks. We sent it back, asking for runny yolks. 10 minutes go by, we ask if the eggs are nearly ready(the rest of the Benedict has gone cold), 15 minutes go by, we ask for another dish, 20 minutes go by, we don’t hear anything, 25 minutes go by, the eggs appear. More than half the white is still runny and they taste strongly of vinegar. 35 after we asked for new eggs, the server comes to the table, we again ask for another dish, and he tells me the cook is willing to prepare something new but we’ll have to pay for the Benedict and half price for the new dish. We asked for a refund instead, the server argued with us a little, and we were issued a refund in the end. I’d heard this place was wonderful, I wanted to believe, I was pretty disappointed by the indifference we were treated with, and it was a long bike ride back to Seattle.

I stopped in here for the first time today, and it will be my last time, too. I liked the atmosphere a lot, and actually I though the corned beef hash tasted good, but, there was obviously a bad ingredient. Literally, as I rode away on my motorcycle, I got an odd pain in my stomach, then it became a mad rush to get home. Rather than enjoy a beautiful Sunday, I had to change all my plans so I could spend the last 8 hours in the bathroom… I hate to give small businesses bad reviews, but when you poison me, I’ll make an exception.

Went there a second time and the service was notably improved. They’re still not perfect, and don’t seem to have a great system for getting orders right(my wife’s eggs were way undercooked and they didn’t ask how I wanted my steak cooked), but they are at least paying more attention to the diners. The food is really great. The chef has a great sense of pairing herbs and flavors, and the sauces and soups have great rich, deep flavors with just perfect seasoning. The sausage gravy is the best I’ve ever had.

We wanted to explore Carnation and hoped to find a unique spot to eat, and found this gem on Unilocal.SO good! This is absolutely a farm fresh restaurant. We went on a sunny Saturday and had the option of ordering from the brunch or lunch menu. We went with brunch and ordered winner winner chicken fritter & an ultimate bennies healthy Benedict with a side of sausage. With a couple rounds of drinks, food, sweets and tip we spent about $ 70, though the plates were $ 8 – 12. The food was fantastic. The kind of food you write home about. Or, Unilocal about. The service was quite slow but it’s a small place and they were busy, but they did let us know it would be a wait for our food to come out. Based on previous Unilocal reviews we decided to stick it out. There’s a small shop attached with fresh produce, milk products like fresh churned butter and homemade jams and such. Apparently you can go home with a live goat or other farm animal, too. We took sweet treats to go, and will definitely be going back!

This place is amazing! Think European style farm house where everything is amazingly fresh and beautifully home-made. This is a gem in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley. Totally casual and family style seating so perfect after a hike or ride too. Yummy– truly a gift!!! Also, rash brunch plate is close to $ 10 or less– it’s cheaper than IHOP! No brainer!!!

It’s way too easy to drive past this place without ever knowing what you’re missing! It’s gourmet food made with locally sourced organically grown ingredients that’s beautifully presented, and reasonably priced. This place is a real gem — especially for weekend brunch. It’s better and less expensive than any place we’ve tried in Redmond or Bellevue or Duvall. The service is low key — for example, you help yourself to coffee… And the food is AMAZING! Update: I noticed one bad review, and honestly couldn’t believe it.(I neither know the people who run the restaurant nor am I an employee as this reviewer claimed we all must be). I took a look at the one bad reviewer’s profile, and it appears he makes a habit of one starring everything… So he’s either unpleasable, or a troll who doesn’t understand or care about the real damage he can do to great businesses.

We were staying at the Salish Lodge and wanted to try some other local fare. Just a short scenic drive and we arrived. Super friendly proprietors and the food is so fresh, they even have a farmers market. Some of the ingredients depend on what is available on any given day. I had the frittata on Saturday and the flap jacks on Sunday. That’s right, it was so good we went two days in a row. Enough said.

How this place got 6 five star reviews is beyond me(friends and employees maybe). Went here yesterday for breakfast and it was horrible. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with eggs, potatoes, and a warm biscuit. When the order arrived I saw the potatoes were actually half a baked potato put face down on the grill for a second, no butter, chives, sour cream, just a plain half potato. My biscuit was under my chicken totally soggy. Gravy was watery. The chicken seemed odd and so I pulled back the breading to see it was all dark meat. I thought the breading was undercooked but it was all the grease from the meat. Found a big piece of gristle in it, too. In the end I lost my appetite. Girlfriend found a big piece of ham gristle in her quiche, too. UPDATE: Just got home from our trip and my girlfriend went to try the butter we bought here yesterday. Not only is it rancid but there’s mold in it.

We happened upon this place while staying at the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, and we wanted to go back for every meal! The farm fresh ingredients were incredible, and the service matched the quality of the food. Great atmosphere too– & plenty of outdoor seating in warmer weather so 4-legged friends are welcome too. Such a cool find in a small town– & be sure to stop in at the great little thrift shop down the street– Reincarnation!

Fantastic food, super friendly local-run place. If you live near this restaurant and don’t go there all the time, you are a lunatic. I got the chicken fritter breakfast dish. Got to taste a few other dishes. All excellent.

This café is going to give other SISCO-food cafes a run for their money. This is farm-fresh food made to order, ripe, in season, local, often organic. Food: Tasty, fresh. Eggs Benedict on sweet potato pancakes with fresh herbs, wonderful. Biscuits and Gravy with homemade biscuits(the good kind, made from scratch w/a ton of real butter). A coconut-curry salad with beef, savory. Fresh eggs(including duck eggs). Dinner: Not a huge selection, but definitely meat and potatos, quinoa salads, diverse cob salad. Service: Attentive, thoughtful, quality-oriented. Location: Tolt Ave, across from the Carnation café(man they’re in trouble) This place is the best food for miles. Revel in it.
