I love Vietnamese food and Phở Le has some of the best in the western suburbs. We had Banh Mi special– pork, beef, on a toasted French Bread. Very good! The Banh Xeo, Vietnamese pancake was just amazing, crunch, complex with beef and shrimp, served with fresh lettuce, mint, bean sprouts and the best Nuc Mum I have ever had. The clay pot only comes with catfish, but it is outstanding. It does come as whole sections of catfish, not filet pieces, so there are bones.(first world problem) The food is very tasty, fresh and the service is friendly! I would argue Phở Le is one of the top two or three Vietnamese places in the Western Burbs.

Food: 4 stars service: 2 I asked for extra hot sauce(I eat spicy) he is like its in the bag, I said I eat here a lot can I get extra he said no low and behold I used siracha from home. I went there last week 3:30 on a Wednesday, I know its not peak time but I took it to go I felt like it was lacking, but I have eaten there a dozen times and again the food is 4 stars, but when you walk in you don’t feel like they are happy to see you, you feel like they are doing a favor serving you I know its mid day, but I spent 14 bucks make me feel like a customer. The food is good, I think there is better Vietnamese in the area but its good phở I have not had the other food.

This place is a dive, but the bun is delicious! They were quick with the service and the peek is marinated with a great flavor. The noodles are cooked perfectly and even the egg rolls are delish! I’m not a fan of the peanut sauce that was served with the spring rolls appetizer, but the sauce for the bun was the perfect amount of spicy. Yum!

My normal Asian soup place is currently relocating and I decided to try their phở out… it was not good. I found it funny that when I first sat down, they were playing on their tv «Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.» I felt like they just solidified the Asian stereotype. Haha. Rule of thumb: REALGOODANDTASTYPHOBROTHSHOULDBECLEAR! The broth was a bit murky. Although, i did like that there wasn’t a strong nutmeg essence like other phở soups have. So I ordered the well done and rare beef strips Phở. They got my order wrong and put beef balls and TRIPE! Yuck, I’m so not a fan of tripe. It’s too chewy. Also, don’t be deceived by the sign in front of the store that says«we sell fruit tapioca smoothies.» No they don’t and that’s when I asked if they had it because it’s on their window. Please take the sign down so you don’t trick other customers.

I’ll start with the negatives. Strange smell in foyer as you come in. It almost made me hesitate because smelled similar to cat pee & you know there are rumors about Asian food & beloved domestic pets :) but the place was packed so I thought how bad could it be? Positives clean inside & food was good. I stayed safe & ordered a chicken Phở, spring roll & iced coffee. Chicken Phở was very good & iced coffee super strong but thats cool with me. Spring roll was fresh but i was not crazy about the sauce or the deli roast pork they roll in it. I will visit again.

Decent Phở. Staff was sitting around hanging out, but attentive. Kid Friendly. high chair. Extra bowl offered for toddler to share. Ambiance is nothing spectacular. More people seemed to pick it up vs. eating it there. Service was quick and Satisfactory. Easy Parking. I would go back.

Very good Vietnamese food! Excellent home made fish sauce dressing, clear and tasty broth for the phở and a clean environment. I think I’ve just found my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant for the west/northwest suburbs.

Ok, so my friend eats here all the time and he know’s what’s good so I’d say definitely go check this place out. I just went for company but once my friend ordered a Thai iced coffee just looking at it I knew it would be amazing so I got one — and it was everything I thought it would be. Just thinking of it now makes me want to go get one… yum.

I love this place. The food is good and you get nice sized portions. In the summer the smoothies are also good. There’s usually only 3 flavors mango, strawberry, and avocado.

My husband and I checked out this restaurant for some hot soup on a cold day. its a place you go for the food and not a fine dining experience. Go in with that mentality and you won’t be dissapointed. Its no upscale place but the phở is on point.

As a one dollar restaurant this place is fine. I think everyone is forgetting that. For an affordable, decent Vietnamese fix, this place is great. I personally like the pork/rice dish, and as a desert drink the«ca phe sua da»(Vietnamese ice coffee).

Easily my favorite Phở in the area. Veggies are incredibly fresh; probably bought same-day. Very relaxed, family atmosphere. If you want more/extra of anything, its never a problem. Get the Strung Nguyen coffee with condensed milk on tour way out — IT’S INCREDIBLE.

It has been about a year since I was here, looks like the overall quality of food and service have went down(what? How can it be worst?!) proportions got even smaller. My $ 7.89 was not well spent for the small phở I ordered…

We ate here a couple of times last year. I don’t have any complaints but nothing special either. The server was not warm but he was attentive to our needs. PS: They offer conggee which is not usually offered in lots of Asian restaurants. I would go back if the crave of chicken rice porridge hits. It’s actually pretty good.

Phở Le is one of many Vietnamese restaurants in the area. I hadn’t ever given this one a try, and the opportunity cropped up, so I stopped in with my toddler. The inside is sort of hole-in-the-wall but clean, with a single window into the kitchen and serving area and no clear idea if you should sit down or order from the window, Urban Belly-style.(The answer is: have a seat.) I ordered the standard of phở, which is phở with strips of beef cooked rare. It had some meatballs and other things in it, and was served with the usual trimmings(basil, lime, jalapeño). I also got bread with fried eggs for the little one, which is 1.) apparently a thing in Vietnam, and 2.) not really deserving of further mention, since that’s all it was. I guess the eggs were nice and runny though. Anyways, the phở was good! And the serving size was enormous — well over a quart of broth. If anything the broth was a bit simple, but to be honest I’m not sure that phở is supposed to be multidimensional — I just know it didn’t taste like straight chicken broth. I also got an iced coffee, which took the better part of 40 minutes to make and delivered venti-level caffeine in a tall-sized cup. This sucker was *strong*, but I still was able to taste the sweetened condensed milk, so mission accomplished. Assuming you have a phở rotation, and who doesn’t, Phở Le deserves to be on the list.

I’d stay away from this dump! I used to eat at Vietnam Bistro right up from the road from this place and was very pleased with their food and service. Now that Bistro is closed, this is the only Vietnamese diner in the area and I feel bad for the locals that have to suffer because of it. I called in for a pickup order but when I arrived at 6:30pm I discovered they never prepared my order ahead of time. I can sort of understand when a restaurant does this at it approaches closing time because some customers will never show up and then they have to trash the food, but why do this at 6:30p? Maybe the dummies who run this place have nothing better to do than just sit around so it’s no biggie to them but I have a busy schedule and I dont like waiting 10 – 15 minutes for my order when I called for a pickup. The food was«blah» and«meh». Didnt make me vomit but there are LOTS better Vietnamese food in the area. The phở special was sparse on meat and they gave me about 60% broth needed — so I have to shove the rice noodles down hard to get them saturated with broth. What a joke. I thought there was very little taste to the meat flanks or meatballs. I also ordered spring rolls which were average and the peanut sauce for dipping was kinda soupy which I hate. Like other people have mentioned — this place is DIRTY. The counter was covered in a thick layer of dust and even the soda cans in the cooler looked covered in grease. Plus, I believe it was the owner’s family — about 4 adults and a couple kids — sitting at tables and yapping away in Vietnamese gibberish. I wanted to tell them to spend some of their free time cleaning up this pig sty but I doubt they’d understand or care. Go look somewhere else for Vietnamese grub. Anyone can do better than here. Overall Grade: D–

The best Phở in the area. I’m normally not a big tripe eater, but in the house special phở it was really good. My wife usually orders more standard asian fare when we go, and everything she’s gotten has been awesome… but the phở… the phở is unreal. And yes, you can get it without tripe… The best broth I’ve had, good quality noodles and lots of vegetables for a good price(if I remember right around $ 8 for a HUGE bowl of Phở)… Located around the corner from Home Depot, by Jimmy Johns… The staff is usually just hanging out on a laptop or watching TV, but they are always really polite and quick. Absolutely no complaints here.

$ 6 phở! I don’t know what it is, but every time I eat a bowl of phở, no matter how gargantuan, I’m hungry two hours later. So, it’s nice to know that I’m only paying $ 6 for this stuff that, while super delicious, has some kind of anti-filling effect on me. I ordered one with with tofu instead of meat. To my surprise, it came brimming with veggies including bok choy, napa cabbage, broccoli, and carrots! Probably not authentic, but I LOVE having that kind of veggie variety. Also, the broth was super flavorful. I also ordered a bahn mi with tofu. It was tasty, but way not enough tofu. It seemed to lack the proper amount of fillings in general. I recommend House of Phở for tofu bahn mi done right. My partner ordered a noodle-less phở which came in a disappointingly small bowl, but all was forgiven when they agreed to bring out an extra bowl of broth and didn’t charge us for it. Service was okay. A bit awkward and he triggered my pet peeve of taking our order without jotting it down, then having to ask us to repeat stuff a few minutes later. But seriously no big deal. I’ll be back for sure!
