If you are looking for mediocre Mexican food here it is. Gordita was extremely greasy. Not a whole lot of good flavor in our meal at all. Burrito had a very runny consistency. Fresh cilantro was probably the only positive about this meal. Invest in some Togo containers, the foil wrap ruins the texture and presentation of the items. Not very happy or satisfied with our delivery.

We’re new to the area and love to hit up hole in the wall joints! Most of the time you get real, authentic food when you do! So why not check out Taco Real?! Heh, see what I did there? Yea, I make mistakes in life, like bad jokes and trying out some of those hole in the walls… I ordered a simple Carne Asada Burrito. It was over $ 8! Most places they’re $ 5.99 with everything in them! I get home and get comfy to eat my burrito… First bite, gristle… Second bite, cartilage… Ok… I can handle a bit of fat once in a while, but I haven’t made it 2 bites in yet! I tried to take a few more bites just to give this place a chance, but the burrito was dripping with grease! To top off the experience, there just wasn’t any flavor. I started out excited to try a new place and I ended up throwing about over two-thirds of a burrito that could have been great! Words of advice, pass this place by! There is something better for you out there!

Food was ok at best. Burrito was dripping with grease as i bit into it. Gross!! Delivery very expensive! Lower delivery charge of $ 5! Spending $ 20 on a few items is outrageous. They really should look into dropping that delivery fee to maybe a few bucks. More people would order delivery.

OK, so tonight I ordered from this place again, and I couldn’t have been more disappointed!!! The«special» burritos were 90% lettuce, almost no meat at all, and dripping with crap sauce out of the bottom. Totally different than what I experienced last time! After eating a $ 9.00, I’m sitting here still hungry! TOTALRIPOFF! Sorry Taco Real, but I will never order from you again!

Ordered tacos for lunch. The meat was very bland, it was as though they did not season it at all. I am American but the tacos I make at home are more flavorful. Also their delivery fee is ridiculously too high, then on top of that you have to give the driver a tip. If they seasoned their food and lowered their delivery charge only then would I recommend this place and return there for a meal.

This place is just ok, its open late. The food has been hit or miss and the place looks kind of dirty. There is many better choices in the area.

This place is the best tacos and flautas! Definitely try this place out. I love it! If you want good food and not pay high prices then this is the place. The delivery people are always very friendly. I have dogs that need to be put away before someone knocks at the door. They always follow the instructions. A lot of other places don’t.

The food was decent. Service was awful. I ordered my dinner via GrubHub. I ordered a taco dinner. I saw on the menu, that tacos could be served either Mexican style(with onions and cilantro), or American style(with lettuce tomato and cheese). I noticed that GrubHub did not ask me which I wanted, so I called the restaurant to ensure I was getting what I wanted. The girl I spoke to said she edited my order and ensured me that I would be getting them Mexican style. When my food came it was American style. Not only that but the tortillas my tacos came in were extremely stale, as were the chips that came with my guacamole. Not at all impressed. I doubt I will order from here again.

Gross. Threw pork tacos in garbage. Drenched in oil with a lot of fat and taste burnt. I ended up ordering a sandwich from Jimmy John’s. I would never give it a second chance, ever!

I was excited to see that a near by place had pupusas. I decided to give them a try. I ordered pork and cheese and bean and cheese pupusas. The misses got a taco dinner. After opening our food containers we quickly realized what we were in for. The entire dining room smelled like dead rat. This place is hot garbage. The meat in the tacos smelled rotten. It had such a pungent smell that I had to run it outside to the trash within 5 minutes. The so called pupusas they serve make a mockery of a traditional very tasty dish. Unless you want to be really disappointed, really ill and pissed off come give them a shot.

Great food, huge portions! Every time I’m visiting customers in the area I stop here for lunch, it’s small and friendly with very very good central American food!

Over cooked meat and watered down hot sauce. I really wanted to love it, because it is so close to my house. :(

Coming from a lover of Mexican cuisine, and a guacamole connoisseur… I HATE to say this but, Taco Bell is better :( All I’m going to say is their guacamole has is 95% tomatoes, cilantro, and onions. 5% was avocado. I took one bite of each item I ordered(tacos boritto enchiladas guac and chips and even tamales) and one bite was all I could do. It just was not my style.

I wasn’t sure how this place was gonna be, but after sitting with my friends while they ate(I was going to meet up with someone else for dinner so I didn’t partake) I decided to go back with one of them another day and give it a try, I had the pollo asado. My friend had the carne asada last time, and this time the milanese. She liked both. This was the perfect place to go after being out at the pool all day. Very casual. Their horchata is pretty killer, give it a try.

Back in my pre-Yelp days, I would frequent Taco Real quite often. Hole-in-the-wall Mexican joints are usually the best. However, after today’s visit, I will never drive out of my way to eat here again. I came around noon, and there were quite a few patrons dining in. The restaurant is small but every table was full, so I knew I’d be taking my order to go. I walked up to the counter and waited a moment. The chef finally turned around, glared at me, and yelled something out in Spanish. A few moments later, a young lady appeared to take my order. While she wasn’t blatantly rude, I still got the impression that this gringa should have taken her business elsewhere. I could definitely sense the reverse racism that Martin A. mentioned. I decided on my usual two tacos; one with chorizo and the other Al Pastor, both with onion and cilantro only. The two tacos and a bottle of water came out to less than $ 5. The girl who took my order told me it would be ready«in a few minutes.» So, I stood alongside the counter seating area and waited. And waited. And waited some more. I looked at my phone to discover I had been waiting over ten minutes. For. Two. Tacos. I was irritated. I hadn’t requested anything special, what on earth was taking so long?! Finally my order was ready(17 minutes later). The girl handed me the bag and just said«Have a nice day.» No explanation as to why two tacos took nearly a third of a hour to make. I got back to my car, grabbed one of the tacos(turned out to be the Al Pastor) and took a bite. It was awful. Every single piece of meat was super chewy with gristle. The tortilla was so grease soaked, it ripped and fell apart completely the minute I picked it up. Disgusted, I chucked the whole thing into the bag and prayed the chorizo taco would be better. Nope. The chorizo was mostly burnt, therefore the flavor was lost. This tortilla was also falling apart, but I expected that from the grease of the chorizo. I managed to eat about three bites before I gave up on it entirely. I probably should have walked back in to get a refund, but 1– it was over 85 degrees out and the restaurant was hot to begin with(they had windows open, no air on) and 2– I’d probably have to wait another 20 minutes for a refund. Seeing as how the taco were $ 1.75 each, I really felt like it wasn’t a big loss. I’ll stick to Los Burritos Tapatios next time: friendlier staff, better food, and faster service.

I only know a handful of words in Spanish, but it doesn’t stop me from exploring Latin America, culinarily(is that a word? Guess I also struggle with English). It was at Taco Real where I had my first taste of pupusas, said to be El Salvador’s national dish. Since I have yet to try pupusas from anywhere else, I was wavering between 3 and 4 stars. Maybe 3.5 stars? On my most recent visit I decided to go all out on vegetarian, getting a chile relleno taco and two vegetarian pupusas. Some liken pupusas to stuffed tortillas though I think pupusa’s corn flour shell has finer texture than corn tortillas. The chile relleno taco was a mess but the pepper and cheese pupusa was fine. The other pupusa I got was Loroco which seems to be some kind of(pickled?) flower buds and I found the taste a bit foreign. Perhaps it will grow on me if I keep at it. They do have the pickled cabbage slaw that is typically served with pupusas but for some reason I wasn’t given any this time. Lunch specials are $ 5.99 which usually includes three tacos or three papusas with a drink. They have about 10 different kinds of meat tacos and 4 kinds of pupusas with meat. Each day there are three flavors of aquas frescas available and I believe the flavors rotate between horchata, tamarind, Hibiscus(Jamaica flower), passion fruit, etc. The staff is made up of El Salvadorians and Mexicans. I never had problem with the service despite my poor communication skills. Raina was especially sweet.

I enjoyed my dinner here with the family. Very quaint bit next time around we will probably just do pick up or take out. It’s quite small inside and the seating is not the most comfortable. That being said the food was delicious. I ordered the taco bowl and it was more than filling enough, but most important I loved the way it tasted. We were the only ones dining in and at one point the workers even yelled over the counter asking if we were enjoying ourselves. That was a nice touch. Very informal, yet makes us feel like he cares.
