I was at the Elgin Harvest Market today and tried out Mario’s Cart. I got the sloppy footling hotdog and buffalo fries. I think the food was really good and high quality, especially for a food truck. The prices were a little high, but that’s in comparison to other food trucks. If I were to walk into a regular«fast food» restaurant the prices would be very reasonable. The most overpriced item was definitely the can of soda for $ 1.50. Fries were $ 4 and the footling was $ 7. I felt like I got a good deal because it was so large it ended up being my lunch and dinner! I’m looking forward to going back and trying the actual Mexican food items that the truck specializes in. But there’s definitely something for everyone here, and in an area that doesn’t get a lot of food truck traffic it’s nice to have something that tastes this good.
