I came here to eat two times and ordered the french toast on both visits. The french toast was definitely worth the hype, not to mention it’s perfect as an Insta picture and have everyone asking where it’s from. I can’t say much about the other food items and drinks because I have yet to try them. I keep wanting to order the french toast whenever I do go though, because it’s that good. It’s not too sweet, which is what I like the most about it, and the ingredients(chopped strawberries, blueberries, and banana garnished on top) are always fresh and delicious. It is a bit cramped inside, however, so I would encourage going for brunch with a friend or two. I’ll surely be going back!

One of my favorite breakfast spots and study spots in Chapel Hill. Jesse’s is right on the brink of the Carrboro/Chapel Hill line off of main street. It’s sort of on a corner, and has a small parking lot, which can be tight. I usually park at the public parking lot across the street. I had heard alot about their biscuit/egg sandwiches before eating there, and they did not disappoint. The open faced biscuit is top notch. Most recently, I got the quiche of the day and my husband had the breakfast burrito. Both were good. The breakfast burrito is a party in your mouth, since they throw veggies, potatoes, avocado AND your choice of meat in there. Good sized portions and reasonable prices. Their outside patio is adorable and has abundant tables with umbrellas if you want some shade. Love their lattes too. such a great local, «carrboro» type place!

Yo that brisket on that biscuit is the sh! t. That brisket melts in your mouth. You know how sometimes brisket can be a little tough? Not this brisket. You just put the little brisket on your tongue and it melts away. And it is a good size portion with egg and cheese. This is an open faced sandwich. Both faces have brisket, egg, and cheese! And that biscuit is nice and sturdy — no crumbles! Delicious! Comes with barbecue sauce on the side, but #1 it’s already super moist so you don’t need barbecue sauce, and #2 who wants barbecue sauce for breakfast?

I’ve tried to give Jesses business over and over but I won’t be back. I’ve always been attracted to their locally sourced food and location but keep having REALLYDISAPPOINTING experiences. I once had to wait over 45 minutes for an avocado sandwich and they were super unapologetic and just plain rude. Another time I waited 30 minutes for a FRUITPARFAIT. Ridiculous.

Sooooo good. I had the breakfast burrito, he had the chicken and gravy biscuit. The food is big, tastes better than you expect, served hot. Bevs are expensive, for example, no «sweet tea», I had to order a special brewed iced green tea. Great staff. Order at the counter, they bring it to you.

Must visit this joint when in Chapel Hill — Carrboro. Local ingredients in nice dishes. Good pastries. Excellent coffee. Small, but efficient. Chorizo Burrito is a fave.

The coffee here is really great, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I wouldn’t recommend the chicken biscuit, though. It was kind of to and bland tasting.

I came fairly early on a Saturday morning on a gloomy and rainy fall morning. There were several open tables and the murmur of other morning people and soft music was the perfect level of ambient noise to get some work done. I got a coffee(and some beans to go) and chicken with sausage gravy biscuit. The coffee was perfectly roasted, the biscuit moist and flaky, the chicken crunchy, and the gravy delicious. The location is great and parking is easy to find. If the small lot is full, there is free parking a block away at the Hampton Inn lot.

On a busy weekend, you may have to wait 20 – 30 minutes for food, but it’s worth it! The staff will warn you when ordering, which is nice. Great shaded patio, with plantings and tarps, tucked into a corner of a fairly busy intersection, but very nice, even on a warm afternoon. Be aware that this is still a student-dominated venue, so the chat at other tables may not sit well, but everything else is quite comfy!

Cute coffee shop in Carrboro that also serves a great brunch! Love the outdoor seating in the summertime. French toast is very tasty — topped with fresh seasonal fruit and a little whipped cream. It can take quite some time to get your food if you come during a busy time — don’t mind waiting but I do wish they made more of an effort to serve all members of your party at the same time! Parking lot is small but there is street parking nearby.

Went for Saturday brunch and it was fairly busy! I got a veggie breakfast burrito and my husband got French toast! French toast was loaded with fresh berries!!! It was tasty, not overly sweet or soggy — and the bananas, strawberries, and raspberries were also great. Burrito was loaded as well! Lots of veggies like squash, potatoes that were nicely seasoned, eggs and cheese.

One of my favorite brunch places in Carrboro! Their brunch menu is spectacular. I’ve been there a few times and I never leave disappointed. My favorites are the fried chicken biscuit w/sausage gravy, french toast, and the open-face biscuit! The price is average for brunch and the food always comes out really presentable. Service is decent, sometimes it takes a while for the food to come out.

Honestly, I never thought I’d see the day I would ever say a bad word about Jessee’s. For months now, ever since the discovery of it, I have recommended it to friends and peers as if I were spreading the gospel of the Lord– that, is how much I enjoyed it, and I shivered at the thought of anyone ever missing out on it. However, my latest experience here has left SUCH a terrible taste in my mouth that I am unsure of whether or not I will ever speak of this place, or eat here again. I went with two friends, one of whom had never eaten there but had been wanting to after hearing us speak about it so much. It was about 10:30 am on a Thursday morning and the place wasn’t as busy as I had thought it would be. We got in line to place our order for food, and it was obvious that the person working the cashier was new to the place, which I can understand and work with. She seemed a little confused by my order, which was a sausage and egg biscuit($ 4.75 or $ 4.50), topped with the turkey gravy which was an extra $ 3. I also added the chai latte frappé for $ 3.50, and my total ended up being about $ 13. She was perplexed as to how to put the biscuit and the gravy together in the computer, so the barista came and took over, and while she was there I requested that she re-total the items because i wanted to make sure it was right, so I repeated my order, she repeated it back, and I thought we were good to go. After waiting about 15 minutes for our food, the first two plates of french toast for my friends had come out, and they looked stunning, per usual. Finally, mine was brought out last, in a little red basket, and what I saw looking down was a vegetarian breakfast burrito with one sausage patty on the side. Had she gotten the words burrito and biscuit confused I PERHAPS would’ve understood, but this was so completely far from what I had ordered that I stopped her as she put it down to tell her that this was not what I had ordered in the least. She apologizes abruptly with a look of shock on her face, and leaves for about 2 minutes. After two minutes, she comes back, drops exactly what she had brought back down onto the table, and halfheartedly apologizes while saying, «We’re out of biscuits, i’m sorry this is all we have, here you are.» I had even told her I would wait for something else, and she didn’t even offer to fix it, refund it, or give me another option. I would never even think to order such an option as i’m allergic to avocado, and had paid $ 13 for her to drop off this basket full of things that I hadn’t even ordered in front of me. It was further exacerbated by the fact that not 10 minutes later she brings out a BISCUIT to another table, and he looks over at me and says«I think they mixed up our orders, i“m sorry» and she brought out two more biscuits in the time I was there. Never before had I been so livid, and I don’t think I could ever overlook the terrible service no matter how good the food is. It was straight up disrespectful, and I had never thought that any experience at any establishment could’ve been so horrendous.

Jessee’s Coffee and Bar is an adorable coffee shop in Carrbaro. I was visiting my sister who goes to school at UNC Chapel Hill recently and was in the mood for a local coffee shop. It’s in the same complex as Carrburritos, which my sister says is another local favorite. Inside, Jessee’s is small but cozy. Seating has been smartly designed and they use their space well. They also have art work for sale on the walls. My sister and I looked at their menu and were instantly intrigued by lattes. We decided on the caravan lattes which is a caramel based latte. They were delicious! Not overly sweet which I liked and was well made. The staff was friendly and gave us recommendations on what we should try. They seemed a bit understaffed for a Friday afternoon, but it could have been just when we were there. Overall a great experience for coffee. If I lived in the area, I would definitely come back more.

I have been longing to try this place for a decade. Both heard from Unilocal and fellow friends, I have already been convinced that I will have a great breakfast even though I have never been there. Maybe that’s why I am now so disappointed by its chicken biscuit. Location: carrboro. The mini and hippie version of chapel hill has been attracting many new businesses here. But Jessie’s been here for a long time. With outdoor seating and limited indoor seating choices, Jessies gives people the impressions that they are probably«muy bien» as delicious for sure Food: had the chicken gravy biscuit. Takes about 15 mins to serve even though there were no customers at that point. The gravy is bland and no seasoned at all. I have to put pepper and salt by myself. Maybe they are doing cook version of BYOB? Although the chicken is crispy outside, the unpleasant biscuit covers its taste making me wanna ditch the dish immediately Service: owner is friendly and nice. It’s a local shop to serve for locals. Overall: a 3 for the food I ordered. P.s I am surprised that so many people ordered this biscuit. I’d rather eat at sunrise which is so so much better

i got the spinach, mushroom, sharp cheddar quiche and it was not what i expected. i thought it would have actual pieces of spinach but i guess the ingredients were all blended together and then made? it was a green color which was not appetizing to look at and taste-wise it didn’t have much flavor. i couldnt taste the cheddar at all either– very one-note. we sat outside which was super cute. inside is pretty small and all the tables were taken. friends liked their veggie omelets and avocado sandwich

When it comes to cute, local coffee shops that also serve amazing brunch, it doesn’t get any better than Jessee’s. The coffee is exceptional — so delicious and well made. They have soy and almond milk too, which isn’t found on the menu, so don’t hesitate to ask for substitutions. I tried the regular latte and white chocolate mocha. The mocha was pretty sweet, but it was just the right amount of sweetness — very yummy, even for people who don’t drink coffee often. The food… the food… I absolutely adore brunch foods, and Jessee’s definitely did not disappoint at all. I had to go for the french toast, and(on top of it being gorgeous looking) it was absolutely delicious and very generous in its portion. My friend got the breakfast burrito, and while I’m not the biggest fan of savory brunch dishes, I couldn’t help but steal some of his burrito because it was amazing. The perfect mix of eggs, cheese(«magically cheesy» says my friend) and vegetables(it has avocado!). We had the sausage burrito, and there was kind of an awkward lump of sausage in the middle of the burrito, which wasn’t too great. Maybe the bacon or vegetarian burrito will be better. Aside from the chunk of sausage, couldn’t have had a better experience with a breakfast burrito. Service was pretty fast too. I’ve heard stories about how it can take 30 minutes plus to get dishes during busy days, but during my visit to Jessee’s, it took 10 minutes max. Servers come to check up on you occasionally and are very accommodating and friendly. I honestly could not have imagined a better experience with Jessee’s. If you’re coming on a weekend morning, make sure to come in early if you want to snag a seat!

Utterly disgusted by the customer service at this establishment. My partner attempting to get breakfast and coffee here as she has done all week and today they refused to sell her the same coffee, refused to let her speak to the owner that had been making the coffee every other day, they also allowed and almost encouraged their friend to berate, curse at and harass my partner while she had our son in her arms.
