A gem in Carrboro. Not a shiny, fancy, gem – in fact, a hole-in-the-wall taco truck randomly in Carrboro across from Car Mill Mall. The BF and I get everything here. from $ 2 tacos, to $ 7 burritos, to elotes, to pupusas, sopes, tortas… the only thing I haven’t tried yet is their enchiladas. Everything is cheap, good portion sizes, and DELICIOSO. And for you vegetarians out there, they have everything available in vegetarian! As a vegetarian, I personally love their pupusas, sopes, elotes, and burritos the most. strange hours(6pm-12am on Tues-Thurs as of today — their hours seem to change though), but def a must-visit spot for cheap, authentic Mexican food! P. S. You MUST grab some of their sauces to-go. Both the verde and red sauces are great. =]

Bicycled over to the parking lot next door to Fitch’s lumber on Greensboro street and ordered a brisket burrito and an agua de melon. The burrito was so packed I had to ask for a plastic fork so I could eat some filling before picking it up. The brisket was chopped rather than shredded, but had the crusty edges full of flavor that I like. It was dry, but that’s what the salsas are for. The two sauces available on the counter, green and red, are necessary and wonderful condiments. I got little cups of both and took turns on every bite. Couldn’t decide which I liked better, because they are different kinds of spicy. The red is standard medium hot tomato, and the green was mystery(peppers and lime?) tangy and medium hot. The agua de melon was awesomely delicious cantaloupe water, a taste I don’t experience very often(I’m single so I don’t buy melons) and so refreshing. I was stuffed after the burrito. Plenty of food. Great place for lone wolves and bicyclists. I love being able to stay with my bike and not even lock it. Outdoor seating? Well, bring a towel and you can sit on the ground and eat comfortably. Nobody will care — this is Carrboro.

Excellent taco truck! As others have said, this is the best one in town. I haven’t had anything bad there — the tacos, burritos, and Pupusas are excellent. Great service as well, too!

Great taco truck, stopped on my way home many times for a quick bite. Foods delicious, cheap and fast. Not much else to ask for.

Latin grill is AMAZING! Their tortas and quesadillas are favorites in my family. Their red salsa is to die for, and their staff is always friendly and quick to whip out another great meal! This is a go-to for us almost every week. The asada and chorizo are tender and delicious, and the veggie tacos are loaded with wonderful condiments. Very authentic!

Latin Grill is the best Taco Truck in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. I’m pretty sure they are across the Harris Teeter the second half of the week. I prefer this truck over the bus any day. The truck has both superior food and parking in comparison to the bus. Latin Grill has a variety of meets but I prefer either the tongue or stomach. Both are very great in the taco. The meat is really tender and the addition of lime and hot sauce really adds another dimension to the food. Latin Grill also has elotes, Mexican corn on the cobs and they are delicious. I can’t help but to get an elote whenever I come. The sauces are«spicy» to some people but I have to disagree. I think they give the perfect amount of heat to either the tacos or burritos. Unfortunately, the Latin Grill Truck isn’t open pass 12 so it isn’t a place to go to after the bar. But, DEFINITELY give the taco truck a try if you are in the area.

The only taco truck in town I’ll go to. These guys are the BEST. I always get three tacos azadas(marinated steak), then load on the lime juice and cilantro sauce. My wife gets a vegetarian quesadilla and either a few vegetarian tacos or a sope – they’re not my favorites, but she always likes them. When they have it, get the agua de melon(cantaloupe juice). I think there may be some confusion here about times and locations, though. If I recall correctly, these guys are at Johnny’s on the days the other poster stated, but they’re definitely here(across from Harris Teeter/next to Fitch’s) on Fridays and weekends. Oh, and for people complaining about the tacos being dry – THAT’S BECAUSEYOU’RESUPPOSEDTOADDYOUROWNCONDIMENTS. Duh. And yes, both sauces are spicy. If you wanted mild, Americanized Tex-Mex burritos, you shoulda gone to Chipotle or Moe’s. But if you want really good, fresh Mexican food that focuses on a few complimentary flavors instead of loading on the dairy goop, go here.

With the demise of «Mexican Food» truck that parked in front of the demolished and razed Seagrove Pottery(next to Cat’s Cradle), I’m going to posit that LATINGRILLISTHEBESTMEXICANFOODTRUCKINTOWN. I’ve only gotten the veggies burritos, and they are kind of expensive at $ 7.00(you can get a smaller and cheaper veggie burrito at City Bus) but it is SOGOOD. Also, you can measure its quality and authenticity by the clientele who order food here. The only downside, and it is a MAJOR downside, is that this truck is only here three days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. They must have a better spot the rest of the week. I WILLFINDYOU, LATINGRILL. Also, the people who work here kind of have attitudes. Maybe it was just the one night when I visited. It was cold and late. I’m willing to forgive because the food is amazing.
