Can’t give zero stars. The owner, not an employee verbally assaulted my wife when she went in asking for advice on how to fix some chemical imbalances w our pool. This is not an exaggeration. He came running out of the back room after overhearing her conversation w the techs(who were helpful) and told her to get out of the store and do not come back. She left in tears. If this is how he treats his customers and values their business then I don’t know why anyone would do business w them. I wish this were an exaggeration but it is not. Any rebuttal by him or this business on Unilocal would be an outright lie.

I recently bought some Shock and Flocculent from Summerwind and got excellent and very courteous help. I followed their instructions and the pool cleared beautifully. I’m now able to enjoy the pool. I’ll definitely use them in the future.

I bought the floor model of one of their Baja spas back in 2000, and I’ve been coming ever since for chemicals, service/maintenance, and parts. The crew is helpful and knowledgeable about all kinds of pools and spas, even when I’ve tried to stump them with mystery noises and other phenomena. Their hours are a little weird sometimes(closed on Saturdays but open on Sundays, f’rinstance), and the prices might not be the lowest, but they haven’t steered me wrong in 12 years. I hope this independent store stays around for a long, long time.

This used to be an excellent business but after its sale to a new owner a couple years ago, everything fell apart. There is now no communication with customers when service is requested, which requires repeated calling for status updates. There is no notice of when the technician will arrive or indication that the service technician has visited. There is no follow-through when parts must be ordered, which again requires repeated calls for status updates. The interval between calling for service and an actual resolution has been in the eight week or more range. The service technician is not competent or careful, does not check that the repair was successful, and is likely to reinstall items incorrectly or leave a significant mess for you to clean up afterward. When the repair is unsuccessful, the whole cycle must begin again.
