They are CLOSED. Failure to pay rent according to the note on the door. I am going to cry.

Went with friends for lunch. They all liked their food but I didn’t. I ordered the beef and chicken enchiladas. Our food took so long to come out we only had 10 minutes to eat and pay. For the food to take so long I would expect it to at least be hot. We all agreed on that. Now my enchiladas were dry and they put the bare amount of sauce so that didn’t help. I didn’t complain because I didn’t have time. This is my second bad experience. So will not be back a third time.

First time for lunch here and both of us are very disappointed. I have been here for dinner about a year ago and it was good. First, very over priced for tex-mex lunch and limited lunch menu. Food was ok but not great. Nothing outstanding. I’ve had better at Taco Bueno for less money. Service was iffy. Long periods of not being attentive but quick to get an item needed once we could flag down the waiter. Extremely noisy restaurant. I probably won’t go back.

I’ve been to this location twice now and will not return. On both occasions it took the food over 30 minutes to get to the table(11am and 12pm). The food was decent on the first trip, but I had to take it to go since it took so long. The food today was not good. I have had better nachos at Taco Bueno. The location in Flower Mound is much better.

No wait time for a table on a Saturday night was great and the atmosphere is lovely. The food is okay and not the best I’ve had but I wouldn’t turn down a friends invitation to dine here. My friends and I initially intended to go to Twisted Root Burger down the street from this restaurant but it was too packed so we decided on Agave Azul. When we entered there was no wait time so we were instantly pleased to be seated immediately. I was starving so when I saw the chips and salsa brought to our table right when we sat down I was thrilled! Yup I am a chips & salsa monster haha. We had the guacamole which I thought was table-side but I assume I read that incorrectly on the menu. It was good and the amount was large enough to satisfy the four of us and still have leftovers. I had the chicken enchiladas as my meal with only rice and no beans. I try to avoid pinto beans at restaurants because they’re commonly made from lard. The enchiladas were okay but I think I liked their rice better than the enchiladas themselves. Our waitress was not the most attentive nor was she very quick to bring items to us. In fact, twice she forgot to bring items which we had to ask for again. I am one of those sticklers for good service. I wouldn’t avoid this restaurant, I would not choose to come here proactively. I say that because there are so many amazing restaurants in the area that I would choose instead.

I came in for lunch this past Saturday with my two sons and nephew. We got seated quickly because it wasn’t very busy — not even halfway full. The floor was slippery in a dangerous way. Not good. I ordered a soda and never got it. Stuck with water. I had to ask our server how much longer it was going to take since it had been over 20 minutes after placing our order. I had to ask him three times in a row because he couldn’t understand what I was asking. When the food finally came, it looked and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. BTW, I had been here several times for lunch during the week in the past and it was okay. They must bring in the C team on the weekend. I won’t be back ever again. I felt ripped off because there are too many good places to spend your money in D/FW. Don’t waste your time here.

First night in Texas for work Tuesday the 9th and I find this super cute restaurant in old downtown Carrollton. Tons of street parking, greeted kindly at the door, seated right away, service was phenomenal! However, my rice and enchiladas tasted as if they were frozen and then reheated. The chicken nachos my friend ordered were great though. I will definitely go back to try other menu options just because the service was so great.

Been coming here for years and the food quality has declined with the raise of the prices. Gave it another shot after the last two poor experiences. Drink order was wrong, food order was wrong. The mahi mahi in the seafood enchiladas was good. The wilted, cold asparagus was awful and the cilantro rice was a dollop of cold, unseasoned white rice with some corn in it. Got a side of calabacitas and they were cold and limp. The one good thing was the warm salsas, chips were greasy and cold.

Pros: –wide array of tequilas at your disposal –drinks like a slap in the face Cons: –voodoo masks glaring at you while you eat –failed to procure coconut shrimp –beans

Short staff. Understood. No excuse for crap service. Beverages empty for 10 – 15 min. No hot sauce. Cmon. We ordered off the limited menu and the food was good. The HH margaritas were made with crap tequila so they tasted like dirt. Other than that, its all good

I’m not sure who the f*** left 3 or less stars, but they are insane. I’ve had the absolute best drinks, food, desert, and even coffee. And when I say best, I mean THEFU***** BESTRESTAURANT in town. Not just Mexican, but one of the best period in town!!!

Man what a disappointment today at lunch. Came with coworkers of 8 and it took almost an hour to get our entrees. Within those hours, they come and tell us we don’t have this and that 15min after we have placed our orders. Food came out cold, refills we had to ask for, it wasn’t a great experience for us. Two hour lunch is unacceptable when we have to head back to work at a reasonable time.

I had agave azule not too long ago & was pretty happy with it. I ordered the exact same thing this time around, yet something about it just made me want to throw up half way through it & I couldn’t even eat the rest. I just dumped it all. Maybe it was the cold, tough beef they gave me that I had to rip off with my teeth through each bite, maybe it was the more-like-cheese-sauce-than-queso-queso, maybe it was even the fact that I paid almost $ 30 dollars for this gross meal. Im not sure. But I was just really disappointed and confused considering last time was not too long ago & I was so happy. I don’t know if I went in with higher expectations this time around or what, but I don’t think I’ll be returning…

This place was my Tex-Mex go-to in Carrollton for a very long time. The warm salsa is so flavorful and has the perfect level of spice. My wife loved the veggie quesadillas, and the corn tortillas are legitimate! But lately, the food has really been lacking. The tableside guacamole used to be a consistent«hit», but lately, it’s ‘hit or miss’ and you always need to add salt. The waitstaff have noticeably changed, and we are thinking that there may be either a change in management of the chef. The taco salad was really bad yesterday(November 19, 2015) — the cheese was store bought, pre-shredded cheddar, no dressing was provided, and the lettuce came out of a bag. It was really a let-down. The chile relleno is underwhelming and the Mexican rice(and beans) have no flavor anymore whatsoever. I’m not sure if we will be back. On the upside, the«Agave Margarita» is FANTASTIC and the ambiance is great for date night! The tequila selection seems top notch(I’m not a tequila connoisseur by any means), and they don’t play with their cocktails. Unfortunately, the food quality has really gone downhill lately.

My search is over. I have finally found the unfriendliest bar staff in the world. A grunt when I arrived, then he walked away and I eventually had to call him back and ask for a drink. Then it was time for a refill, so I timed it, I had a suspicion that the service would be slow. 9 minutes! and I wasn’t alone, there were four other people at the bar sitting with empty glasses for as long as I was. We were all patiently waiting, as the bartender chatted with his friends at a nearby table. When I left, I left the obligatory tip(which is really paying for service, as tipping is NOT discretionary in this country) and thanked the(different) bartender. Not even a grunt this time, he just ignored me. These clowns need to visit Mi Cocina and see what the term ‘customer service’ really means. Drinks and food were ok.

I didn’t really even know this place existed right next to my apartment because the sign of this restaurant is at the top of the building instead of above the entrance. The inside of this place was pretty cute, very rustic look. I ordered the Ranchero enchiladas with beef and my friend ordered the chimichanga. They were both cheesy and pretty good, but being from Texas and having ate A LOT of TEXMEX, I wasn’t very impressed with the food. The salsa was alright too.

Food is good. Quick service for lunch. Their chips are addicting. Love their strawberry salad and guacamole which is made right in front of you. This place could get quite crowded during lunch but we never had an issue finding a spot. Parking though was tough around this area.
