Solid prices and service, fries a little greasy but I don’t mind this place for lunch when I work around the area.

Very inexpensive and nice staff. I got a veggie omelet w/o cheese and was disappointed. They didn’t cook the veggies and used canned mushrooms. Maybe the other items on the menu are better, I’d recommend trying something else.

I stopped here for lunch while traveling through the area in July of 2013. While the food was decent — about what you might expect: solid and tasty, but nothing memorable or exceptional — I found the attitude of the woman who either owned or managed the restaurant very off-putting. While eating lunch, I picked up a copy of the local newspaper from the nearby rack to read, and then put it back when I was getting ready to leave. When I got my bill, I noticed a $ 0.75 charge for the newspaper, even though it was apparent that other diners had used the same newspaper in the same way I had, and, being 2:30 p.m., it was unlikely at that point that any of the remaining papers would be purchased. No big deal I thought, I’m not going to make a fuss over $ 0.75 if that’s what they think is right, although I thought I should have been notified of this beforehand. However, when my server was cashing me out, she asked me if I had taken the newspaper. I said, «No, I just read some of it then returned it to the rack.» At that point, the owner woman who was nearby said to my server, in the harshest of tones, «Did he read it?» «Yes,» she replied, «but he put it back.» A return reply of «Did he read it?» My server, after looking at me nodding my head yes said, «Yes.» The owner woman then coldly replied, «Well, then he has to pay for it.» In doing this she not only embarrassed her worker in front of me making her quite uncomfortable, she annoyed me with her miserly attitude and by the fact that she did not ever address me or look at me(even though she was about ten feet away), treating me as if I wasn’t really there. Not that I’ll necessarily ever be back in Carrollton, Ohio, but I can guarantee that if I am, I wouldn’t set foot in Archer’s Restaurant again. I have no room in my life for such rude and mean-spirited people.
