While I love that the two ladies working today were very nice, I feel like they need to invest in more than just one crêpe griddle. Service was slow and there were many people who ordered. On top of that, someone who had ordered their crêpe after me ended up taking one of my crepes. After finally obtaining my crepes, they were average at best. I guess they were rushing to get everyone’s order.

These guys do japanese style crepes and i was glad to see they were opening one in the 99 ranch store. I had their red bean crêpe and the mama crêpe. Both were really good. The presentation was nice and overall the crêpe had a good taste to it. The fruit was fresh as well. The person helping me was super friendly and I think she was the owner. I’m always happy to support small businesses so that was plus. They have a fruitealicious(which is my fav) next to it so I definitely will be hitting both up as my dessert spot.

Tried a crêpe here which was pretty average. They are not greedy with their toppings at all. Loved the set-up inside and the staff were great. (The girl working here were so upbeat and friendly!) But I’m not sure I will be returning.

I was so excited to see a crêpe place inside of Ranch 99 and had high hopes for it, but alas, I would not recommend this place to anyone. I like the concept behind it because you can customize your crêpe by picking the batter flavor and whether you want it decorated or not. I believe they only had three batter choices, and the toppings were pretty limited. I decided to try out the mocha batter and ordered it with strawberries and bananas. The batter was way too thick. I prefer to have crepes that are slightly crisp and thin. They also wrapped the crêpe with this white paper and it was really hard to eat with it. I found myself eating bits of the paper on accident as I was trying to take bites out of the crêpe. They should use something sturdier to make it easier to eat and less messy. One crêpe place in San Francisco used a thicker card board type holder that allowed you to push your crêpe up as you were eating it with minimal mess/spillage. The taste of the batter wasn’t all that great, either, and the overall taste of the crêpe was just not good. Skip this place and try somewhere else if you are craving crepes.

I ordered the strawberry and banana mama which is the cute bear design with strawberry batter and honey cream. The batter was extremely thick and chewy which is totally not normal for crepes. The ice cream was a bit too icy so I kept biting chunks of ice. The marshmallows were definitely not soft and the vanilla wafer was a bit stale. I do recommend finishing the ice cream before you dig into the crêpe or else it’ll get messy. The parchment paper was a bit difficult to tear so I ended up unwrapping the whole crêpe and just using my hands to hold it together. I honestly didn’t taste the honey cream. It tasted like regular whipped cream. The strawberry batter though had a nice flavor. It was super light but noticeable. They used fresh bananas and strawberries but my mom didn’t particularly like the strawberries because they weren’t sweet. Overall, I feel like they definitely could improve on lots of aspects but the price for the crêpe was reasonable($ 4.50). However, it was the grand opening price so I’m not sure how much it will go up later.

Like everyone else I had high hopes for Crêpe Mama. They had the stylish booth set up, offered cute animal crepes and at a very affordable price. Unfortunately I was let down by the actual crêpe. Let me start out by saying they are doing it right with the cute menu boards and crêpe displays. Sadly the actual crepes were a disappointment. The texture was very thick and it didn’t seem cooked all the way through. I tend to prefer my crepes thinner and lighter. The fillings were good and they have a good variety of choices but I didn’t like how everything was stacked up. I prefer there to be a good spreading of the fillings verses having to eat everything from top to bottom. I also wish that the bear design was more cute and clean. What I mean by clean is the marshmallows were thick and appeared slightly sloppy. I think with a few improvements with the texture of the actual crêpe, distribution of fillings as well as over all appearance of the bear crepes would greatly benefit Crêpe Mama. The flavors are delicious but they just need to work out a few technical difficulties. Fortunately their prices are very affordable and comparable to Krepe nearby. I will definitely be back to check on the progress of this newly established business and anticipate their improvements.

I’ve been waiting for a cute Japanese style crêpe place in Dallas for forever and a day so I was very excited, and they didn’t disappoint. Two words: nutella cream. NUTELLACREAM! I suggest you go get that adorable point card(that folds into a crêpe because why not) filled up while they do the $ 2 crêpe promo.

The crêpe place opened and was hosting a grand opening. So everything on the menu was $ 2. I shared two crepes with my three friends and we are not a fan of this place. They need to learn how to make crepes properly. All the fruits were at the bottom, along with a bundle of excess crêpe batter? They should learn how to properly distribute the ingredients. The crêpe batter were a bit thick and tasted old. I’m thinking that they have the batter pre made. Overall, they need to fix some stuff and they should be good. I like how they can make a bear for you, but cuteness doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t taste good.

I was excited to have an animal design crêpe place open in Dallas, but I was rather disappointed. I’ve tried the red bean mama and banana mama, which comes with pet ice cream decoration. I chose chocolate batter for red bean mama, which was a bad choice, because it was extremely bitter. The batter for both times was also excessively thick. The ingredients were also not distributed evenly: ice cream on top, cream and other ingredients at the bottom. After I finished the ice cream, I was left with only red bean/banana, which was overwhelming by themselves.(Couldn’t finished both tunes) It is also unique of them to present the customer the pet design. However, it isn’t that unique since it’s the same(bear) design for all of the crepes. I believe the ingredients should also be edible, but the marshmallows they use for the bear ears was rather hard. Furthermore, they only offer 3 flavors of ice cream: vanilla, strawberry, chocolate. I was told by the manager/owner that they will try to add other flavors in the future. It is still their grand opening, so I am hoping to see improvement.

Not sure how long they’re doing this but all their crepes are only $ 2! They serve japanese style crepes on a cone. They have several different types of crêpe batter and fresh creams. Both BF and I ordered the special«mama» crepes that include fruit, cream, and an ice cream bear. The bear design is adorable! However they were not very easy to eat. If you get ice cream, make sure to eat it first before the ice cream melts. The cream in my crêpe started running so it got pretty messy. I ordered a mixed fruit crêpe and it didn’t contain any fresh fruit. It was mostly fruit cocktail. My crêpe was too thick and soft for my liking. But they literally just opened and there is a lot of room for improvement. I hope they start serving fresh fruit crepes soon!

I went here on opening day. I ordered the mama crêpe strawberry with fresh crème. The place is inside 99 Ranch market, and there are no tables, it’s kind of just hanging out near the produce section, so it’s easy to miss. The taste is very good! And the prices are very good — around $ 4 per crêpe. But right now, the prices are half off in celebration of opening week. My only issue was because there were no tables or napkins, I had quite a messy time eating my crêpe. The crepes are wrapped in parchment paper and handed to you. It was dripping on me everywhere because the ice cream melts fast due to the heat of the crêpe. My advice is to get your crêpe and immediately go to the other side of the store to the food court and get napkins and maybe eat it with utensils so you can eat it like a civilized person. Otherwise, I will come back and enjoy the crepes here again because the taste is excellent.
