I’ve lived near Williams Chicken for 8 years and had never tried it. because really, like I need to fall in love with another fried chicken joint. but I may have sampled some of their chicken at the state fair and remembered how delicious it was. So, at 9pm on a Saturday night when I was starving to death and only fried chicken sounded good, I headed around the block to Williams. I couldn’t let myself eat a whole meal or spend $ 8.50, so I ordered three tenders and a small side of mac and cheese, and still spent $ 7. Overpriced much? Then I waited. and waited. and waited. and finally my food was ready. I took it home, because I can’t eat heart attack food by myself on a Saturday night in public. It was pretty great tasting. However, the breading wouldn’t stay on and it was so much work just to eat it. The macaroni was was too ooey gooey for my liking, but if you like super cheesy, then you should probably try it.

After reding reviews on Unilocal I’ve been very skeptical about this place for months but I give it a try eventually. It’s actually not bad at all. Ideally for satisfy your craving for fried chicken. Taste is good not great but will definitely satisfy you and price is not bad either. For snack give this place a try! Edit: You know what I changed my mind, their chicken is awesome. I’ve been ordering it and it turned out perfect every time. 4 stars!!!

THEWORSTPLACEEVER! I go to the drive through an order a 8 piece. They tell me it will be 10 min for the chicken to be ready. I park and go to wait inside. 35 min later i go ask how much longer and they tell me it will ready one more minute. 10 minutes later i go to ask again. I tell the cashier it’s been over 40 min and she goes«if you don’t want it then you can just go». SERIOUSLY!!!

This has to be he worst experience I’ve had with any restaurant in a long time. I paid at the drive thru on a $ 21 order. The order was already waiting for me. Got home it wasn’t right so I took the whole thing back and made them redo it. There was a shift change so the new girl was nicer. Got the new order waited for a new bag because the one handed to me was ripped. Got home guess what it was wrong again. So 3 trips in 30 minutes. DONOTEATHERE!!! If I could give then less than one star I would.

Its like a seasoned Church’s. Prices are good. But the wings are horribly weird looking, and arent like other wings. Wont be going back for a while.

I have always been a real fan of William’s Chicken. That is, up until now. I went by a couple of nights ago and picked up an order. I ordered 2 breasts, and they put 3 in the box. That sounds good, but they were the smallest chicken breasts I have ever seen, Each not much bigger than a wing. And, they were terribly over cooked and dry. I ordered 6 rolls, but they only put 2 in the sack. I ordered gizzards with white gravy. They gravy was as thin as water. This is definitely NOT the William’s Chicken that I remember. I will not be back.

We had Williams chicken at a work event last week and the food was so good I’ve been craving it ever since. Last night I decided to get some to take home from the location closest to my house(Trinity Mills and Midway). BIG mistake. Apparently, the work lunch had served food from the location on Forest. I have never had such a different taste experience between two restaurants of the same chain. Food at the Forest location = 4 stars. The chicken was crispy and tender with tons of great flavor in the breading. The dirty rice wasn’t mushy and also tasted great. Loved the biscuits. Food at the Trinity Mills location = less than 1 star. This was one of the worst meals I have ever had. The chicken looked great. Not greasy looking at all and the breading was nice and crispy. Then, I took my first bite… while the chicken wasn’t greasy on the surface, it TASTED like grease. The breading and the meat had the strangest flavor like they had been fried in grease that had been re-used a couple of times and that greasy flavor had been infused into the skin and meat. After a few bites, I threw the rest away. The mac and cheese had a strange smell to it and tasted like overcooked macaroni. There was no cheese flavor at all. It also went in the trash. The dirty rice tasted ok but was so sticky and mushy, I tossed it away as well. The rolls were good except I had ordered biscuits. I ended up eating cereal. Unlike some of the other reviews, I thought the place looked clean. The servers were friendly and, except for the biscuit mix up, they did a good job.

Nasty, terrible, bad effort at fried chicken. Place appeared to be a 3 on cleanliness scale. Will never eat here again.

After working out at the nearby fitness center, you walk outside and there’s the aroma of fried chicken from across the street. This time I was super hungry and wanted some. The inside is small and the menu is confusing. I didn’t think a meal could be so pricey. I didn’t care. Just give me some chicken skin. I had a 3 piece which came with a biscuit, drink and a pepper. The TV was replaying the computer voice on the weather station(inclement at the time) and the bathroom was safe to use. The food was mediocre. I mean what do you expect out of a place like this? Maybe I should have went to to local grocery. I could have probably got some left over chicken dinner for much less or that is marked down since the deli closes early. Eh. I’m here. It is damn greasy. Every bite there’s a spoon full of oil I’m sucking down. I ate my meal and decided it was a night. I felt guilty afterwards, like I could have gotten better. I smell like it now. Back to the gym I go,

After several years of being told that this place has GREAT chicken, someone told me that they also had corn fritters. So, I venture to this place to give it a try. First, the staff was great! Very friendly and even came out and gave me samples of sides for free. However, the chicken was TERRIBLE. The breading was so thick I had to take it off… and that is my favorite part of eating fried chicken. The chicken also tasted like the only seasoning that touched it was the oil it was fried in. The cheap dinner roll they give you might as well be left off the plate because who wants a dinner roll with fried chicken? The main reason I even went to this awful place was to try the corn fritters. I used to eat them as a kid back home and love them. The corn fritters here are mislabeled. They should be labeled as undercooked, over-fried and over-battered cream corn. And that might get close to the disgusting taste that was in my mouth. The only good part of the meal were the fries and the tea… and that is only because no one had to prepare anything except to heat them up. So, anyone writing a good review of this nasty food, I implore upon you to seek medical attention. Clearly your taste buds are not working. And anyone can feel free to write negative things back. I will not care at all because no one will ever be able to convince me to try that dreadful excuse for fast food ever again.

If you made chicken at home, not season it and let it sit in grease it would probably taste better then this place. Avoid!

This location of the Williams Chicken franchise chain is having to cope with the reconstruction of Trinity Mills Road, yet seems to be doing enough business to stay open. Recently opted for the tenders with roll and gravy. The pieces were good-sized, but somewhat bland. The fried batter had separated and was falling off before I could eat the tenders, so it was more like eating hot skinless chicken without any coating at all. I think you have to stick with the regular fried chicken on the bone here to get the satisfaction of a simple tasty meal. The dinner rolls that come with most of the chicken meals are the prepackaged white bread kind and don’t add much to the bargain. Throw out the roll and watch the birds peck at it. Have to admit the only side I’ve ever chosen at Williams is the fried okra. It’s a treat, but sometimes contains bits that are a tad woody. Be careful when ordering«large» beverages as you may wind up with an unmanageably large 44-oz drink in a squeezy Styrofoam cup that won’t fit your cup holder. Try driving home with that in your lap!
