Stopped by on a cold weekday morning recently with the kids as they needed a book to read for a report. The library was closed and I remembered that I had stopped by a few years previous and that they had a decent size collection of books. Was kind of a long shot finding a book for them outside of a collection the size of a library but gave them a shot. Upon entering the store we glanced through their sections till we found the area we needed with some quick assistance from the owner and began to go through the titles with our kids. We found some books that our kids were interested in and would fit the criteria of the report. Score! About this time the owner finished up with another customer and came to check on us. In the off chance that they had some more books on the subjects that interested our kids, we mentioned what the had picked out, and she had some helpful suggestions of other books. What I like about this store is great prices, decent collection size(guessing 5000 – 7000 books) and a very helpful and friendly owner.

This is a decently sized used book store filled with lots and lots of paperbacked. A few hard covers can be found but they firmly fall in the minority. Most of the books are fiction because that’s what sells according to the shop. I am mostly a non-fiction kind of guy so there is little for me to find here. There is one wall of biographies/memoirs, true crime, social commentary, etc but it is small. The ratings get a boost from me because there is a good sized section of kids and juvenile books and my kids always seem to find something they want to read. That works for me! In the front of the store there are some antiquarian books, movies, and cookbooks. Nothing for me but maybe for someone else? The hours are a bit limited too. Prices are good though!
