I hired them after the original landscaper cheated us on the new install. Green Lizard fixed everything, and helped up improve it beautifully over the years with their great ideas and expert capabilities. They won numerous awards for the work, and it helped our house to sell for a good price a few years later.
They are the nicest, most pleasant people to work with, and use honorable labor practices, hiring only qualified, legal labor.
Good landscaping isn’t cheap, but their prices are fair, their billing practices are honest, and they’re always on the lookout for a bargain (like a great tree at a bargain price.)
They are great at everything from mundane seasonal cleanups to certified arborist work like installing a giant tree. They installed a massive stone sculptural fountain in a pre-​existing courtyard and amazingly didn’t scratch a surface, and it’s worked perfectly for years.
Of all the businesses and contractors I’ve worked with over the years in the Carson Valley, Green Lizard is by far the best, with not a single problem that wasn’t resolved quickly and in a way that made me happy.
Hire them for new install, remodeling, or maintenance. They’re the best!

We hired Green Lizard on the recommendation of a coworker after we screwed up the slope of our backyard trying to landscape it ourselves. We have a very small backyard and didn’t want a ton of vegetation to water, but we have two dogs that really needed a little patch of lawn.
I’m somewhere in between having very specific likes and dislikes, and not knowing what I want. Green Lizard came up with some great recommendations for us and incorporated everything I asked for, including some really cool lighting.
After the winter, about half of our lawn didn’t survive. Travis not only replaced it, he had contacted me to ask how the lawn was doing before I even had a chance to call him. He also replaced the timer on the lights after I told him it wasn’t working, which may or may not have been operator error.
Everyone that sees our backyard is impressed not only by the quality of the work, but by the fact that Green Lizard stands behind their work. Great company and I highly recommend to anyone in need of some landscaping!
