If you want a simple, easy, clean, affordable, old fashion Motel stay the Mill House Motel is it! I am a 20 year long South Lake Tahoe local and I will not stay anywhere else again! Just wish I had stopped and checked it out years ago. Oh and they have the coolest walk in shower! I’ve been here 3 days now and I don’t want to go home!

Mill House is a great value for a nice clean motel if you are traveling thru Carson City. Very family friendly and hospitable hosts. Try for a room off the street if possible. I will be back there next time I pass thru Carson City.

This is a totally great place! It’s run by sweet folks, family-owned, very clean, basic and inexpensive… plus a very comfortable bed. A great find!
We stayed somewhere kind of seedy our first night in Carson City, but pulled out and found the Mill House Inn Motel and we were thrilled.

I’m surprised to be the first to review this place! Family owned and very clean. The price was great for two queens on a Fri and Sat night. Has a nice pool too. I talked to the owner in the office and was shocked that they don’t have a website or a Facebook. I guess I’m used to California. The room was spacious. We like everything about the location.
