the grooming department sucks. i took my dogs there for the first time on sunday june 12^th. the male who works there was 15 min late for the appointment and the girls who were working made it seem like we were putting them out because he wasn’t back from his break yet. then not even 15 min from leaving them there he called sounding like he was in distress telling me that one of my dogs was thrashing around and not liking the water and he refuses to continue with him. let me tell you both of my dogs love the water and have never had any issues with baths. i honestly think that this guy was too stressed out which was making our dogs stressed out. my advice don’t be a dog groomer if big dogs are going to scare or stress you out. so he told us we needed to come back and pick him up right away because he will not continue. so we get back there and he says that he was able to wash him but wouldn’t be able to cut his nails or anything else and that we would need to wait another hour for our other dog. we live in dayton and i am not going to drive back and forth 5 times because you are too scared to work on big dogs. so we sat in front of the grooming area waiting for our other dog. for a good half hour the male subject sat in the front area chit chatting with the other girls working and then finally went in the back to i guess finish with our other dog. it did not look like anything was done besides a simple bath his nails were not trimmed and ears were not cleaned. and he complained about my second dog at the end as well. i have never had such bad customer service from a groomer. my dogs love water and the blow dryer. i don’t see what the problem was besides his attitude and stress level. i would advise not using the male who works there as your groomer.

Never ever again will I subject my doodle to this place. A teddy cut ended up looking like he had been shorn by a sheep shearer. It was so bad, six weeks later it still has not grown back to the
Beautiful puppy he was.

Don’t get grooming here. I just stopped to get my dogs nails clipped and they are sharper than ever. I looked, trey cut maybe an eighth of an inch off and didn’t grind them at all! VERY disappointed !!!

Ok. First off I don’t have a pet that requires grooming — I come here for supplies. The staff seem to be knowledgeable about all the different pets available for purchase or adoption. If they are not sure about something, they are quick to find another worker that is. Every time I have been to Petsmart, everyone has been friendly and very helpful. It’s always clean, organized and the shelves are well stocked. If they are out of something you need, it’s not a problem to order it for you. Petsmart also supports many of our local rescues and often have a pet donation box in the front of the store.

my dog is a lab golden ret. mix. she’s smaller about 50 lbs. I took my dog in just 2 days ago. they were very friendly when I arrived. they asked me what I wanted and I told her I just wanted my dog to have a bath and trimmed down all over, just cleaned up. I picked a shave size. she offered a moisturizing shampoo. I said ok sounds good. they took about 4 – 5 hours to finish. picked up my dog close to closing time and got my bill. $ 87! an extra $ 16 for that shampoo she offered me! I figured it was just an option of shampoo, didn’t know it was extra money as well. so I paid and left. as I got home I noticed my dogs fur was completely uneven underneath and all around her butt. under her legs it was still very long. just a bad haircut all together. My dog is used to being groomed, she doesn’t move around she just let’s them do their thing. The employee even said she behaved great. I had to go out of town the next morning and even my mom noticed, her first words were, «did u cut her hair yourself?!» but I think I may return to see what they can do about it. I am very unhappy with the cost, the time it took and the quality of the groom. I’d rather drive to fuzzy paws in Gardnerville from now on. Not likely to return or recommend pet smart in Carson city.

Love this place, always nice, they have everything, and service was always friendly especially if you take your dogs with you. Even now you can just order online and pick it up at the store, pretty cool and efficient now.
The grooming was good too always listen what do customer want and no need to bring paperwork (vaccines paperwork) if the expired date still couple months ahead because they already have your data.
I always getting nuts everytime visit petsmart because tons of cute stuff for my boys to choose hahaha

Had never been there before, so called the day before to make appointment and make sure we had all needed paperwork, etc. Drove all the way down there, I was the only customer in there and there were 4 groomers in there and 1 dog being groomed. The other 3 were so busy in their personal conversation that it took awhile to even acknowledge me. Finally, acting like I was disrupting her, one lady came over and put in all my info, the dog’s info, and I handed her the papers that I had brought for proof of vaccination. She then said, «oh, we can’t take her». I asked why, and she said it was because the dog had had an immunization the previous day. I was really ticked that I wasted so much time getting everything together, driving all the way down there, when the lady I spoke to on the phone the previous day should’ve told me this (we talked about this on the phone the previous day, and she set the appointment for me), if it really is their policy. Either way, they are very rude an unprofessional there, we won’t be going back or re-​booking the appointment. What a waste of time and gas.

This review is predominantly for the puppy training course my pembroke welsh corgi is in. Mary, the trainer is flexible, good at what she does and adjusts the curriculum to your dogs abilities. I have been able to do a «make up» course with Mary because I was unable to attend one of the usual class times. The Blue Buffalo brand of dog food is throughout the store which is awesome because that’s what my dog is on. All the other staff is friendly and informative with anything animal related. Looking forward to continue training through this Petsmart!

I’ve been bringing my dog to the groomers here for over two years & they do a great job! My dog gets excited the second I let him out of the car because he LOVES his time at the groomers. He’s always super happy to see them, so I know they must treat him well. And you can’t beat their prices!

DO NOT GET YOUR PET GROOMED HERE!!! We live in South Lake Tahoe and my boyfriend took our red husky, Mila, to get shaved and groomed at this PetSmart. They said that it would only take 2 hours. it took about 3 and a half hours!!! My poor boyfriend took our dog down there expecting to be home by 7PM. he didn’t even leave Carson City until 8:10PM getting home closer to 9PM wasting the entire evening at the pet store because they took so damn long! HORRIBLE!!! He’s too nice to have asked to speak to a Manager but, had I been there, I would have ripped someone a new you know what. They didn’t even offer to give him a discount due to their incompetence. Someone please explain to me how it takes 3.5 hours to shave and wash a dog because I am completely baffled. DO NOT GET YOUR PET GROOMED HERE!!! Pet Supplies, yes. grooming, NO!!!

I have two cats and this is my store of choice to shop for them. Unfortunately, there are no local pet supply stores with cat items in Carson City, so I go here. Items I want are always in stock, for a decent price and the employees are friendly enough for a chain.

I was so glad to find this store on my travels. One of my dogs was so anxious, I needed a natural remedy to help. She had never been on a long trip and was not doing so well. I was able to get some help from the staff here, and we were then on our way.
