Great food. Love the homey, diner feel to the place. The menudo was absolute killer! Our server was very attentive. The food servings were large and delicious. No bad thing to say about this place! Love it!

One of our go to places for authentic Mexican food, I seriously LOVE Mexican food so much, the more authentic the better! This place has that old fashioned Mexican restaurant vibe, small but cozy. Menu is huge, they have everything, even breakfast. Homemade chips and salsa are so fresh and yummy, almost as good as I had in Cancun! I love deep fried whole tilapia fish, sister loves Mexican chicken soup, cheese enchiladas are pretty decent too. The rice, beans and fries are so delicious, I usually order extra sides of those, just can’t get enough of them! The beer selections are decent, recently I have started to try different kinds of Mexican beer, usually I just drink Corona extra. Food portions are huge, prices are more than fair. Service is usually on point, attentive and friendly enough for a local Mexican eatery. If you prefer authentic Mexican food, this is a good place to have some, you won’t be disappointed!

I had the beef flautas with rice and beans. They were pretty big, crispy and very tasty. The rice was moist but not greasy. Their chips were homemade. Very good and the salsa was okay. A little too much onions for my taste. Over all I would say it was worth what we paid for it. I wouldn’t however go out of my way to go there again unless I was in the neighborhood, which is once in a blue moon.

Growing up in the area this place was fantastic — unfortunately that was the 60’s and my Dad was buddies with the owner. I moved back to the area in 2001 and told my Mom lets go here for dinner. My mother said not there it’s bad. Not trusting my Mom(stupid me) I went in there and tried the food. It was so bad compared to the way it use to be I have not gone back. Besides the good food they had a mini Mexican market that was also good. The day I went there I asked the waitress if the owner was still around, and she said he passed and the kids now run it. I guess that’s why the food isn’t good. I just wonder how the place stays in business. Sorry for the bad review and maybe it’s not fair since I haven’t been back in fourteen years, but this was an institution. Walking home north from Banning on Avalon I’d smell the Italian aroma of Domenicks, then the aroma of the shredded beef tacos coming from here. If things have gotten better please inform me, as I don’t want to be that disappointed again.

Slow service even though many tables were empty. Rice and beans were dry. The carnitas were dry. I had to fix it myself by adding salsa to it. The food came out staggered. Took forever to get the check. Only my 2nd time there and both times were disappointing.

Las palmas has always been a family favourite for me. And this most recent time, which happened to be today, I loved the food especially today. As well as the service, no long waits, food was genuine, the waitresses were genuine, it’s never been different. For the years and years I’ve been to las palmas, I feel like it gets better every time I visit. A must eat spot.

I like to drop by here when I’m in the area, it’s generally a debate if I’m going here or to Domenick’s Pizza. I’ve always enjoyed the food here, I remember being here when it was super packed but the waitress remembered my regular order and had it ready for take out within 15 minutes of being there. I like the workers, but I guess it’s after the years of showing up here. The food is great, it’s not like the best restaurant around but for what they make and the price you pay is a solid deal. I personally like the tacos they have, the hard shelled ones with my favorite combination of cheese. This was actually the first place that made me like tomatoes, as a kid I hated them, but damn was I missing out on certain foods.

Came here on a Sunday morning and ordered the Menudo. The menudo had no flavor. Had to put a lot of lemon and onions. Still tasted like water. My salsa looks like it was from the night before!

I came to have lunch here and was very disappointed. I ordered a Mexican carnitas style plate. It was the most disgusting carnitas I have ever had! They did not look like they had been done that day it was also served with salsa on the side which was very bland. They even tasted like they had been in the fridge and warmed up in the microwave. They rice was very dry and the beans looked like they were canned beans with cheese on top. My boyfriend ordered a fajita plate it was full of peppers and onion. Very little meat.

It’s been years since I have been to this place. I was really disappointed to find out why the plates are really hot… they microwave the food to heat it up. Beans were crusty and tasted old… rice was dry and taco was greasy and soft which normally they use to be my fav. Maybe I decided to go on a off day… hmmm I think not. Nothing has changed other than the prices… yikes! I indeed will have no desire to go back.

My favorite go-to Mexican restaurant. It’s close to home, everything tastes amazing, the service is on point so you’re never waiting on them, and there’s never a wait to be seated. They serve the best tortilla soup I have ever had. No one makes it like they do! Always leave here very satisfied and full.

I used to enjoy going here and always had a great experience. Recently visited, and the food quality has declined greatly. Bland taste on practically everything. Plus, it was a slow day before a normal dinner rush and the food took a little too long to be prepared. It’s unfortunate to say, I will not be going back

My home away from home. Whenever I don’t feel like cooking but still want that auth home cooked Mexican meal, this is where I go. They know me and my fam by name and always great us with a smile. That’s how they are with everyone. Most people who walk through the doors have been coming here forever and are on a first name basis… To me it’s a good sign!

I came here not too long ago and ordered two fish tacos. It looked like the«fish» came out of those cardboard box meals you find at your local grocery store. It was so gross! Plus it seemed like they just threw the fish in the microwave and called it a day, ugh so disgusting. My sister ordered also ordered«albondiga soup and was also unpleasant, no distinct flavor at all! Everything just seemed microwaved!!! Never coming back here again!

Super gross! Ordered a taco salad with carne asada to go. Went to pick it up and the place smelled like a wet cleaning rag. It was very unpleasant. The woman helping us get our order together was very nice and offered us all kinds of mild and hot salsas. That was cool. But then, we get back and I begin to eat my taco salad. They put tons of sour cream, which isn’t terrible. As I ate more, the salad mixed with the food became really soggy and watery… almost like they didn’t let the salad dry completely after washing. There was a lot of soggy water at the bottom. Then…here comes the gross part… I found a gross ass long hair deep in my food. It was so nasty. Lost my appetite after that and threw it out. So gross! Never going back. In fact, there’s a carniceria across the street that sells meals… much more a hole in the wall but the food there is way better! Go there instead!!!

They loose 4 for the bad service. Love the salad dressing. The service problems happen More than 6 times the older lady. I will describe one time. That idiot brought everyone’s plate in my party of 6 but the person that was tipping her stupid ass, yes I didn’t eat that day. And my older sister got mad at me for getting mad. Hopefully S. Rodriguez fixes this the food is great hate to see u go due to the awful service
