We came to this store, handed my coupon(buy one get one free with purchase of 2 drinks) ok. I ordered 2 chicken enchiladas and 1 burrito(all to go). The cashier charged me 1 chicken enchilada, 2 drinks, and 1 burrito. I paid with a card. When the food came, it came in 2 boxes. I asked, «Where is the other box? I’m suppose to get three.» Cashier said, «I only charged you for 1 enchilada and 2 drinks.» And the burrito?, I said. And she said, «I charged you for that too.» And I said, «where is the other enchilada?» She said, «Okay.(And she punched the register) and said, «$ 8.70.» I said, «Why are you charging me?» She said, «because you want another one.» I said, «I’m not paying for that. Where is the coupon I gave you?» She said, «it’s here, it said one is free but I have to charge you for 2 drinks.» I said, «I paid for that already, where is the other enchilada?» Her and the cook started to murmur, she opened the boxes and 1 enchilada and 1 burrito were exposed. The other enchilada was ready, saved on their shelf and did not intend to give it to me. I kept asking for it and ultimately they gave it to me. Later, on our way home, my husband told me. the kid in the store(I think that was the cashier’s son) said, «I’m hungry.» My heart sunk, if I did hear the kid, I would have just given the enchilada to the kid. Only after I get it from the cashier. What a nightmare.

Ordered 2 hard shell tacos(1 shredded beef, 1 ground beef). Ordered them because there were others giving them BOMB reviews. They were only ok. A little bland. Totally needed salsa and/or chilli or Tapatio. It’s my fault tho cuz I totally missed their salsa bar and didn’t get any for my take out order. Do have to say the girl at the counter did a great job with all our office call-in separate orders. I’d go back. I want to try potato tacos or their tostadas.

Worst service ever!!! Called in to order 12 chicken enchiladas, first off she said it was too late when they still had an hour left til closing time and I’ve done it before and no problem. After the girl told me they were out of chicken so then I said I’d take beef and she said they were out of it when I can clearly hear her speaking with the cook in Spanish saying to tell me no. Lazy people, they are rude. Called the other location on Figueroa and they had no problem. I advise to take your money to another location.

I will continue to come here for the food. I have other options and I use them. The counter lady sucks. She looks at her phone while taking orders. Her tone of voice says she would rather be anywhere else. So far two incidents with her over two weeks. She has to try hard to be nice.

Very good wet Burritos. I was so much more impressed with this one. This franchise had rice that melted in your mouth. The white meat chicken was pull away with fork tender. Good clean and friendly service.

Love the food and the amount of time it takes to make it is incredible! Recently added a tv which helps when you want to catch the big game. Overall I love to eat there and will keep going back

I had been passing this place up for years. I like authentic Mexican and it did not look authentic to me. Finally, one day I tried it for convenience sake and I’m glad I did. Freshly made when you order, tastes like good home cooking. Now it is my go to place for fast Mexican food.

Snobby service, dimly lit interior(and not in a romantic way), crappy plastic outdoor seating that hadn’t been cleaned off in what seemed like weeks… We ended up eating inside. Food was mediocre. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Overall the food here is mediocre… however, the ground beef crunchy tacos are amazing. I can’t explain it, but trust me, they are ridiculously good.

No thanks! Very mediocre service. I felt that the lady who took our order didn’t want us there. It’s really off-putting. It’s funny because I saw a jar that said something like«tips for good service» and in my head I’m thinking. wow, does she want me to take money from the jar rather than put it in? Because she’s sure asking for it! Also, compared to one of my favorite Mexican food places, Hole Mole in Long Beach, the prices don’t compare. I love cheese enchiladas. Here, it’s one cheese enchilada for almost $ 3, and at Hole Mole, it’s two for $ 2 all days and it comes with sour cream amd salsa. It wasn’t even that great here. Ugh.

This place is totally yummy! Everything they have is good! The tacos are bomb & so is the chili verde… When I tried it I was amazed! This place is definitely a keeper and I plan to keep it in my returning restaurants list.

The wet burrito was meh, decent place, the horchata isn’t that flavorable to of most horchata I’ve tasted.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place! Been coming here for ever and I’m always comparing Mexican food to here so definitely 5 star status. I like my food well seasoned. This place has that down. I love the grilled fish tacos here, they’re the best I’ve had out and this location makes the best ones out of all the Chile Verde’s. I come to this one when I want good food and go to the one in Long Beach when I want something cheap. I love the cheese enchiladas. The plate is so full and you get a good value. The bean and cheese burrito is good as well, and so are the potato tacos. The potato tacos could be more seasoned but for some reason I like them. Plus they make a great filler if you don’t want to spend a fortune on lunch. I usually get one fish and 2 potato tacos and that comes just under $ 5. Awesome. I really like the chips. They aren’t fried in weird tasting oil and always taste really fresh. The salsa is good too. If you can’t make good chips and salsa in a Mexican restaurant… then you suck! The only thing I’m not too big on is the chilaquiles. They taste ok when they’re fresh but don’t even think about saving them for later and heating them up. The wait time also sucks. Sometimes they keep me waiting and other times they don’t. I just always call ahead. All that aside, the place still gets 5 stars. It’s always clean and the people are nice enough. Almost everything tastes good to me. I will definitely be back!

Chili Verde is alright. I don’t think it’s anything special, but the food is OK. This location is nice and pretty popular. It stays busy but not so busy that you’d have to wait long. I’m giving them an A-OK rating for now until I can get back and try them again. I found the inside to be fairly clean and the employees were friendly enough.

Five words ‘all you can pack salsaaa.’ This is a Mexican food spot that has a mini salsa bar. It consists of two salsas(medium and mild), Serrano peppers and lemon. I usually like spicy stuff, but I like the flavor of the mild one better. I like the ground beef enchiladas. It comes with rice, beans and chips. They also have daily specials like wet burritos. Oh, and behind the soda fountain there’s horchata and orange bang.

I was in the neighborhood and my first thought was to get something to eat at Wingstop. But there were way too many people there on a Friday at noon. It was one of those August heat wave days, and I just wanted some place air conditioned that wasn’t crowded. The only one that wasn’t was Chile Verde. I ordered the shredded beef tostada, about $ 6.00 plus $ 2.00 for a large drink. It was good. There was beef, beans, lettuce, tomato, and avocado and sour cream. I added some of their salsa which I really liked. I had a nice leisurely time getting ready for my next business call. I refilled my drink and went to my appointment after having a breath mint. There was lots of parking, and relatively easy in and easy out,. Typically I would’ve gone for the taco combination with the rice and beans, But my next meeting was with female clients in a small office. It made me realize to ease up on eating beans since I do lack the enzymes to digest beans properly. Nice people inside, too, and not too crowded. Overall, I like the place and would come back.
