It’s ma Jings now, they have mostly the same dim sum the former place used to carry, now more Filipino food. Very good chinese food selection also, try the fried shrimp spicy salt, pork, and shrimp friend rice. Pinoy food also good, try it their sweets are better priced than valerio’s next door.

I was craving their amazing Mongolian Beef tonight but it looks like they went out business. All the windows are covered over with newspapers :( Too bad because I really liked every dish I tried.

We come here all the time for take outs. We usually order in bulk for the office events. The food here is good. We normally order the salt and pepper porkchop, salt and pepper shrimp, fried rice, chinese broccoli, chicken feet, mongolian beef satay, etc. The people here are very nice and attentive. They also pack extra everything just in case.

This was an awesome little find! My boyfriend and I really wanted dim sum and saw this place driving by. Little restaurant with a pretty big menu. We ordered soy sauce chow mein(SO yummy, reminded me of my grandma’s version!), salt and pepper green beans(also very good) and then dim sum plates that were all really standard and good(except for the lotus leaf rice things, but I think it was an issue of my taste). The taro milk tea I got was delicious, and we’ll definitely be going back. It’s a quick stop for some solid chinese food.

This place was ok– not amazing but not horrible. Try the shrimp hargow and the sesame seed balls and you’ll be glad you did. The rest is just like any other fast food spot– nothing to write home about.

This place is the bomb! Back in the philippines, I always go to my favorite Chinese/Filipino restaurant, and what they serve here is very similar, especially their dimsum! If you love REAL Chinese dimsum, I highly recommend this place.

Ain’t that good, ever since the owners have sold this place, it’s gone down hill. The plates are smaller and even more expensive that than it used to be. The Chinese took over and your dollar will NOT go as far as it used to. Meh.

Expecting more flavor. But give them props on the chicken fried rice and shrimp chow mein.

My husband and I love this place! We just moved to Torrance and I was picking up Papa Johns next door and said to him«We are having that tomorrow!» Their take out is family style like the restaurant portion, which I have mixed feelings about because my husband doesn’t like to share. I get Dim Sum for myself and it is soooo good that I’m fine not sharing. BBOQ Pork buns mmm. He gets Mongolian Beef which is really good too! Someday I will branch out and try something new but its just so satisfying every time!

Real sum sum that’s cheap as it is delicious! Portions are huge, and overly generous for the price. The food came out so quickly and the staff is really sweet. This has become my new favorite dim sum place in the area. AND with dim sum anytime during the day, you can’t go wrong!

Park by the far end of Jollibee. Parking is good as long as it’s not«grocery shopping» day, then you’re screwed for a bunch of Filipinos trying to fight their way through parking spaces. The food is good. They have what I would usually get elsewhere more expensive. They have most of what I want, dimsum, wonton noodle soup, siopao(pork buns), boba, orange chicken, etc. The food is good. Not over the top but enjoyable. The place is clean and the staff is great. The lady who I think either owns the place or manages it is very sweet. Always making sure you’ve got what you need. Would def come back if I’m in the area.

Located next to what used to be a blockbuster lol. And they don’t play when they call themselves little dim sum because it sure is little on the inside. Must haves are. Chicken feet Shrimp rolls Chinese broccoli Shrimp dumplings The sauce for the chicken feet is so good, there’s about 5 pieces of chicken feet, good for one serving. Didn’t get rice because I had some at home and practically dumped the sauce on my rice. Shrimp rolls and Chinese dumplings had hefty amounts of shrimp in it. Chinese broccoli came in a typical Chinese to go box, I didn’t expect that much but it was 7 bucks and was well worth it. Seemed like they just steamed it and threw oyster and lemon sauce on top. Haven’t tried any of the other selections but am looking forward to one day. Will come back in the future. Oh also the parking lot is shared by 3 – 4 little establishments in the mini plaza but I usually park against the wall in the seafood city plaza because it’s easier.

Through the years, I’ve come to really like Little Dim Sum. This place is one of my favorite stops for classic Filipino –silog breakfasts. I love their different offerings like longsilog(sweet sausage), topsilog(sweet pork) and tapa(beef) breakfasts that come with fresh slices of tomato, egg and garlic rice! It even comes with your choice of coffee or orange juice! Aside from breakfast, they have great lunch and dinner items. Just recently I saw that are now offering some new lunch and dinner items. They have a special offering now called«Economeal deals.» For $ 5.99, you have your choice of several main offerings like salt and pepper calamari and beef with broccoli. The main entrée is accompanied with fried rice, lo mein, shrimp and pork seaweed roll, sesame ball and one regular soda. If you do not want a soda, you can get a boba drink.(You just need to add a little bit extra for the boba drink). It is a lot of food for a very affordable price. It is «economical» for a meal indeed. I chose to get a taro milk boba and thoroughly enjoyed this drink. The milk tea was so sweet and refreshing. The boba inside was very soft. It’s actually one of the best milk teas I have ever had! Aside from the boba, I have seen tried other treats here like their snow ice. I tried the taro snow ice topped with mochi. Like the boba, this snow ice was one of the best I have ever had! The snow ice is thin, fine ice pieces. It’s smooth and creamy and simply melts in your mouth. The mochi topping is chewy and wonderful. I also got it with condensed milk. The condensed milk made it even more sweet and tasty. All of the items I have tried at Little Dim Sum are great! They’re affordable, tasty and will make you want to come back again and again :).

Ordered food to go here and was highly disappointed :(Tried the steamed chicken buns, shrimp har gow, baked BBQ bun, fried shrimp ball, and sticky rice in lotus leaf. The steamed bun had too much bun and too little chicken! ALL the BBQ buns were BURNT! The steamed skin on the shrimp har gow was thick and pasty! The only items that were actually tasty were the steamed rice in lotus leaf and the fried shrimp balls. I WOULDN’T GOBACKTHEREBECAUSETHEFOODSUCKEDANDITWASOVERPRICED!

I guess I should have known better to order dim sum from what was clearly a Chinese fast food joint. Seriously though, the food was terrible. Hagao wrapper was mushy, the salt and pepper tofu was inedible — burnt, greasy, bland, UGH, we ended up just throwing it out, pork and seafood rolls were greasy and overly fried. EVERYTHING was way too greasy and fried! The bf ordered spam and eggs and even the spam seemed like it had been thrown into the deep fryer and cooked to a crisp. I could FEEL my arteries clogging just looking at the food. bottom line, avoid this place. your heart will thank you for it.

Here, I’ll tell you what I tried and liked; Honey Walnut shrimp, Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Shrimp & Pork Seaweed Roll, Pork Shiu Mai, and the flounder fillet. Here’s what I tried that I liked so-so; spare ribs, fried squid(calamari), kung pao chicken, sesame rice ball, and the chicken wings. The people who work there are nice too. Don’t forget to try the snow bar. You get to pick flavored snow ice(strawberry), two toppings(mango & marshmallow), condensed milk and ice cream if you like. It’s great if your just craving for some dessert too(:

They place looks so… americanized inside very unexpected. Steamed BBQ pork buns were pretty good, I’ve had better, but these were still good. Fried potstickers on the other hand were gross(sorry no better word then gross). I took one bite and the whole inside fell out of the shell and was hardly cooked. ugh. I discovered mango pudding because of this place and it was uuuuuuber yummy(I’m a bit of a mango fanatic). I’ve read in other reviews it’s better at more authentic places and will be going on a hunt for mor, e but since this place is 5 minutes from my work I’m sure ill be back.

A small dim sum place by Carson. This place is just fine if you’re craving for dim sum and wants to go for a quick run! Of course, it is still fast food so expect that it’s not going to be close to authentic dim sum that you can get if you go further Artesia or Garden grove. Green & orange is the interior inside. I feel like I’m at a children’s place or something. lol although the place is clean! We ordered two plates of Beef Pan Fried noodle and to give it a try. the salt & pepper pork chop. It really looks good from the menu. :) To get our food is kinda long for me. We waited for like 10 – 15 mins just to get our grub on. NOTCOOL. Price is decent. Food is good. Looking forward to come back and try the Shiu mai.

Pros: Cheap + Local — Carson Locals don’t have to drive to Alhambra for Dim Sum — $ 2.55 each Dim Sum Order(4pcs)(cheapest in the area) — Fast and Hot Cons: «Inconsistent» I’ve been going here once a month since they have opened. And every time I go home to eat the same orders… it tastes different… or the texture/consistency is different. — Pork Shiu Mai is sometimes dry or has too many fatty pieces — Shrimp Har Gow sometimes has different flavors — Shrimp & Pork Seaweed Roll seems undercooked at times(pink pork?) or too greasy. Sometimes too bland(needs a sauce). Conclusion: The next closest Dim Sum is available at Hong Kong Bakery on Carson/Vermont. But they serve their Dim Sum cold and the prices are higher than Little Dim Sum. But it’s still an alternative down the street. Also, if you are looking for a traditional sit down Dim Sum experience, this is not the place. If you are looking for a local Dim Sum place with the traditional cart experience, you can check out PV Palace on PCH and Narbonne(in Lomita). The price is right at Little Dim Sum… let’s just hope they can get their techniques down.
