Not a long wait. Explains everything as they are going over your taxes. Friendly. Helpful. Our tax guy’s name is Jim. I gave four stars due to the difficult parking. They do have a parking area in the back. However, it’s small & theres a lot of construction on the streets. So parking is limited & may have to park far.

It’s my first time filing tax by myself and a friend suggested this place.
The staffs are very helpful and explained so much to me about questions I have had about filling tax and it was quick and easy.

I ve been preparing income taxes for years however this year I became too busy that doing our taxes was just too overwhelming so I visited the office in carson where I was greeted and met Sonia. Lugo who ended up doing our taxes, she was fast, so efficient and accurate and even when she was off when I came to submit our signed papers, mr Ken fry, his associate is very helpful, cheerful and accommodating to help you too. I will definitely come back to this office next year because of their reliability and excellent service. Our refund came on time as Ms Sonia had said. My family and me was very happy with Ms Sonia Lugo services and definitely recommendable to others.

For some of us, tax season is a stressful time. But the folks at Pronto are incredible friendly, professional, and are only looking after your best interest. From the minute I first called to get a quote, I found them (all) to be sincerely nice and very efficient. Their prices are very reasonable and their services are speedy– I was in and out in matter of minutes. I will surely go back to them next year!!!

Ive been going to this office for years and having Joe do my taxes. Nice people but unfortunately they made a big mistake on my taxes for 2015. I had several conversations with Joe regarding being able to claim the percentage I had my son on my taxes. He informed me that I would not be able to because I didn’t have him full time so I said ok. I then asked about being able to claim child care and they said yes I would just have to get the social security number of the child care provider so I did. When I finally went in to do my taxes we touched on the subject again then he asked Kent if I could claim the child care and he said yes. I ended up having to go home and get my closing statement for my mortgage so when I got back I was passed over to Kent to finish my taxes. While I was giving him the child care provider info he asked me for my sons social which I though was weird and he said the IRS needed all information when claiming childcare because otherwise everyone would claim it. When everything was done I was happy I was getting so much money back but I thought it was because of the interest paid on my mortgage. Little did I know he added my son as a dependent. I was never asked during the entire process if I wanted to add any dependents, only child care. Today I got a call from my sons mother who was upset and accusing me of fraudulently claiming our son on my taxes which I explained I never did. I then called Pronto but Joe was busy so I spoke with a woman who looked at my file and informed me that my son was in fact claimed as a dependent on my taxes. I immediately went to the office to try and resolve this issue. After a long wait I finally spoke to Joe and explained my situation. He admitted he remembered all the conversations we had about me being able to claim my son. He then checked my file and confirmed my son was claimed and I asked what was going to happen and he said the file would be amended and sent to the IRS but now I would owe over 2,000.00 back to them. I explained this was not fair because I never wished to claim my son on my taxes and that it wasn’t my fault. He said «I know its our fault but thats what you have to do». I was absolutely amazed they admitted fault but weren’t willing to do anything to help rectify the situation, not even refund my original fee for doing my taxes which should have been the minimum in this case. I think what happened was when my file got passed to Kent he wasn’t 100% aware of my situation and accidentally added my son as a dependent. I explained I was extremely disappointed and had been coming to them for years not to mention have sent referrals. All I ended up getting was a «sorry» and now I am in trouble with the IRS. What I don’t like about this is its going to look bad on my record not to mention I have to now pay back money when I went to a professional who I trusted. I know some people will say well you should have looked at your paperwork but isn’t that the whole point of going to a tax guy? To get professional help and not have to worry about it. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Not much of a case to take to an attorney but oh well. Needless to say neither me or anyone I know will be returning to this company for our tax needs.

I have known Kent and his family for about twenty years. He is extremely knowledgable and efficient. Tax time always seems to stress me out and Kent’s easy going attitude allows me to relax and get the job done. I would heartily recommend Pronto Tax to my friends and family.

Best tax service… been a client for 9 yrs and will continue to have them do my taxes for as long as they are around.

I’ve been coming to pronto tax from the past 3 years! And I have to say they are the best! From the moment you walk in they all greet you even if they are with a customer.
Kent is the person that usually does my taxes, he is very nice and friendly, answer any questions you may have and also helps you get the most out of your taxes. And i usually get my tax money within a week or so!
This year was a little different in regard to getting my income tax money because of the covered California insurance Instead of getting it ASAP it’s been a few weeks after the 21^st day I called Kent to see what’s going on and he ensure me that he will check into it and give me a call back and he sure did within a few hours. He said on his end everything looks good and to wait a week to see if I received anything if not give him a call again. It’s been a week and I just received a letter from the IRS wanting more paperwork. Being the worry person that I am I jumped straight in my car and drove to see Kent, unfortunately Kent wasn’t in to help me but Joe didn’t hesitate to help me out! He did all the additional paperwork for me and even placed a stamp on it as well all at no charge!
Seriously these guys go above and beyond to help their customers out!

I have used Pronto income tax for 3years and its always a good experience. Sonia is great. Will help you get the most refund you can have. Very friendly and professional. I was in and out in 20minutes. Most guys charge 150+, but they charge less than a hundred. Definitely going back to Pronto next year!

Okay. Before coming here I was hesitating or not if I should even do my taxes. Little did I know, I was about to get a refund I didn’t expect! All because of Kent! I walked in not knowing what to do and he immediately asked what he can help me with. I said «uhmm I just need to file.» So we immediately sat down and went down to business. We had a lovely conversation while he was doing his thing. He also asked about school to see if I can get even more money! Long story short, I was there for only about 10 minutes! It was quick, easy, I got a good amount back and paid a decent price. People out there are charging $ 160 to do taxes but these guys are the best! Definitely coming back during the next tax season! The man who did my taxes did a really great job and was friendly. I forgot his name but he was a older male maybe in about his 50s. if you’re just going to school and working I would highly recommend going to this place. I was in and out literally. It took maybe about 25 min. And I was done. I received my money in about 2 – 3 weeks. He even gave me a great deal and I only paid half of what he was originally going to charge me. He really helped me out. What he was originally going to charge me was not even half of what liberty tax was going to charge me.

They just want to do your taxes fast without trying to get you the full amount. So fast even forgot to include to some stuff. No wonder why they are called Pronto. Beware I made a mistake by using them.

I had kent do my taxes based solely on online reviews, drove 20 min from long beach, not only was he less expensive than anyone I called, he had to be the BEST tax preparation guy I ever encountered., and taxes suck, we all know that. As long as I live within an hour or so driving distance, this guy will be doing my taxes. H&r BLOCK up yours! Go see Kent, this guys awesome!

Mr. Kent Frye (the owner) is literally the best tax guy out there, no doubt! I HIGHLY recommend him for all your tax needs, my husband usually comes here to get his taxes done by Mr Frye.
We came here recently to get our taxes ammended and he did an excellent job of making it fast, efficient and getting us as much refund as possible. It didnt feel like a chore to come here and get our taxes ammended, Mr Frye has a great sense of humor, friendly and is very entertaining towards his clients
We will definitely be back next tax season, and the prices are very reasonable too! we will never go to anyone else!!!
