Stopped by here on a Friday after work around 5pm. Donut cases were quite empty. I came away with a reg. glaze, glaze twist, chocolate bar, sugar, sugar twist, couple of chocolate cake donuts, and a cinnamon roll thrown in for free. Owner was very friendly. Donuts tasted fresh, not old and stale. Of the 5 or so donut shops around me this one was the best quality. 4 stars because the place is small and donut case was bare. I will return. This place only takes CASH!!! There is ATM at 7 – 11 next door. This place has assorted drinks like soda, gatorade, water and of course coffee.

I come here to get my bubble gum ice cream fix. Their maple bars are pretty good too. I tried one of their caramel frap iced coffee drinks and it was made with powder and tasted like it was made with powder. During the late hours their doors are closed but they have a walk up window.

This is my go to place for donuts. The owner is friendly. The donuts are fresh and we all need to support small businesses.

I’m not into the mom & pop type donut shops that tend to run California(give me Dunkin Donuts any day). But this place makes pretty good donuts.

My good pal Henry Ly and his family have worked hard to make this establishment a staple for the city of Carson. I have yet to visit Henry during his graveyard shift when he claims that he’s «working». Come to think of it, I’ve never even tried the donuts. The fact that they stay up all hours of the night making them is enough proof for now. Stay tuned for an update, I may give it an extra star — depending on their crumb donut selection/quality. Update: okay, okay — i have finally visited the royal donut shop, in person. I was greeted by Henry’s oh so adorable cousin, Talo. Her and Henry’s aunt were runnin’ the joint for the day. Both were extremely pleasant. What I was really surprised to find though, was that this was no ordinary donut shop — this place carried everything!!! Were talking ice cream, cigarettes, candy, toys, lottery tickets, scratchers… the list continues. they sure did a hell of a job maximizing their square footage. way to go royal donuts! For my next visit, i plan to stay overnight working with Henry to experience some behind-the-scenes donut baking action. im one of those«see it to believe it» types of people. i just want to see how they make the donut holes — how do they do it???
