I was already on campus and wanted to save money from Starbucks so I stopped by here. I ordered a caramel macchiato which was listed for 4.25. i saw the cashier was pressing a whole bunch of things on the screen and charged me 4.65. She crumbled the receipt before I can ask for a that copy. Anyways my coffee was already ready before I got to the counter and I thought was odd but I didn’t ask. I took a sip after leaving the Union and it tasted disgusting! It was more of brew coffee instead of espresso. And of course it wasn’t hot nor warm. It was very disappointing! I will never come here again.

I really do hope that the CSUDH library removes this business and places a real coffee shop that would be happy to serve its students Monday through Saturday with longer hours. This is a university and students like myself find that the current coffee shop here lacks variety and is too small to serve students. The line is sometimes long, customer service lacks and the opening and closing hours are unreasonable. It’s 8:30pm and they are closed, yet the library closes at 11pm, so I can only assume that this coffee shop owner refuses to pay its employees more and would rather close early. This is unfair. At this point, I could settle for a Starbucks here because this place isn’t doing it. Community colleges have coffee shops opened pretty late, so how is it that this place doesn’t for its studious students!

Why all of the negative reviews?! I’ve never had a bad experience here. Sure, I was in grad school and my classes were from 4 – 6:45, then 7 – 9:45, but I always got my coffee in a timely manner– even with a long line that was usually to the door. My white chocolate mocha or intense dark chocolate always got me through many a sleepy afternoon class. The girls were always very friendly, never seemed like they were having a bad day, and greeted me with a smile. They were also adept at recommending a really strong drink to keep me awake– which they could plainly see. The only downside? My last day on campus– I left CSUDH with 9 holes in my punch card…

These lovely baristas get me through my morning classes. Always very friendly! Martin, Victoria, and the other staff members are pleasant(even with my finicky order). I’ve been coming here for two years and I always experience friendly service. I only drink americanos, but I hear the rest of the menu is delicious. Good on-campus spot.

They make really good coffee drinks for an on campus place. I always come here in between classes. I’ve tried their iced coffees, but not their hot drinks. They’re really good though! & the crew is always nice!

Great service and the coffee is good. I got the Vanilla Amerciano. They have a coffee card and every time you buy something you get a stamp and eventually you get a free coffee.!! Get your caffeine fix here Toros while you are studying for an exam or if you just need that boost of energy for your boring classes putting you to sleep.

Coffee is eghhh and a bit overpriced, only come here cus its convenient between classes. Staff is cool and friendly. The hot chocolate is ok. If you have 1.25 you’re better off buying coffee from the coffee vending machines on campus.

it’s funny that all the reviews are so negative because most of the time when i pass by tully’s…there is usually a line! i’ve had an ice coffee here last semester and it wasn’t so bad, a bit pricey for my wallet but hey. it’s a coffee shop. recently, i purchased breakfast here and it was pretty good. i would say if your looking for a hearty breakfast that’s kind to your wallet, they do have a $ 2.95 menu if i remember correctly. i ordered the steak and egg burrito with potatoes and i was satisfied with cost and quality. it also comes with a side of chips and salsa(their salsa was good as well!) there’s actually a few other breakfast items on their menu that i would like to try… so if you’re there before 10am and need something to make your stomach stop growling to start your day, pass by tully’s :)

I only buy coffee here when I don’t have enough time to brew my own coffee at home, can’t stop by starbucks to pick up a cup, OR need a caffeine fix in between classes and can’t leave campus to do so… granted it’s the only coffee station on campus :( Their iced coffee is lame. It tastes and looks watered down. I stopped getting it because it didn’t do anything for me. Their hazelnut lattes are decent(my second favorite drink) but extremely overpriced! I try to avoid buying coffee here because if I was a regular, there would be a huge hole in my wallet. They have a punch card system(buy 10 cups, get one free) which I take full advantage of. A few of my colleagues and I will go buy coffee together and we’ll use the same punch card so that one of us can get a free coffee.(usually it’s whoever doesn’t have enough money to buy a cup)… seriously though, we’re college students… which automatically means most of us are struggling to pay rent! Help us out and lower the prices a little will ya!

I don’t think anyone understands the concept of an on campus café… it’s supposed to suck. It’s supposed to be over priced. It’s supposed to make us regret not getting coffee through the Starbucks drive thru down the street. With that said, I really don’t think it’s THAT bad. I mean, when you’re needing a caffeine buzz at 6:50pm for the 3 hour lecture you have to follow… well, desperate times call for desperate measures, right? We run the risk. There will never be a campus coffee shop that’ll do justice to coffee… ever. Overall, don’t have any expectations and you’ll be surprised with how okay the coffee is. :]

This places straight up sucks. Let me tell you. first, of all the times I’ve went, its the same two people. The first time I got a Mocha(huge Mocha fan. Keans Coffee is the best), it BARELY tasted like a mocha. It was just super sweet chocolate smelling thing. I’m forgiving, so i tried twice. Never fail. Still forgiving, I tried it the third time. Cashier homie was zonin out. THISWASTHEWORST. I DIDN’T EVENGETMYFULLDRINK. and THEN, I thought, «Maybe the Intense Dark Mocha will add up.» . nope. Ever since then, I’ve been goin to Micky D’s for ice coffee. Tully’s sucks… at least this one.

I am too big of a Starbucks/Coffee Bean fan to even entertain the idea that there is someone out there who could possibly like the drinks at this place. I don’t know if the people who work here are just terrible at making drinks, or if there really is no substance to any of them, but every single time I get something here it comes out thin and disgusting. What makes it worse is that this place is charging prices similar to that of Starbucks and Coffee Bean for mediocre product. Unlike other Tilly’s locations, I don’t think there is free Wi-Fi here either.
