This is now called Blue Collar Café. It changed hands in March. The breakfast was hardy and good. The prices reasonable. Great hash browns.

We stopped here for lunch, after a wonderful hike to Falls Creek Falls. Service was fast and friendly, and the breakfast items we ordered were very good. I had the Philly cheese steak omelette with hash browns and toast. It was tasty and satisfying after a morning of hiking. My wife also had an omelette, which she could only finish half of, since it was huge! This is a great local diner, but not fancy or eclectic. The bathroom was spotless.

Went today on our way through to mountains on our vacation of the year. I am the GM of a brewpub in Louisiana and have taken the servsafe certification twice(it is required that someone on premises at all times has this). I had the French dip sandwich because I have one on my menu back home and wanted to check out how they prepared it. The two guys with me both had a burger. It was quick, pretty good, and convenient. Until later. About 6 hours passed and I became violently sick. For 4 straight hours I was vomiting and had the opposite as well. Thank god I had already checked into our hotel for the night and was able to hole up there. The guys are fine and I experienced classic food poisoning symptoms. I am well versed in the danger of food poisoning and can easily tell the difference between a stomach bug and contamination. I am shocked that this happened while I am on my vacation, but glad that it was me so that I can inform them of the issue. Please, have your cook take a certification course once a year so that they are versed in the danger. Hopefully no one else experienced what I did. It definitely wasn’t the way I expected to spend the only Friday night of my annual vacation. Very disappointing.

We came across this hidden gem when we stayed at the nearby lodge. We were not up for paying for $ 12 for French toast and went on the hunt for some place more reasonably priced. After driving a bit we ended up here. My husband got the taco omelet and I had the breakfast sandwich. The waitress had a great personality and the food came quickly. I really enjoyed my sandwich and the fruit bowl was bigger than most places and had a good variety of fruit. This is a great local place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Here’s a little secret: prime rib Friday. Wow. So, so tender and good. My uncle always tries to come up here Friday night. Got my prime rib medium rare, which is perfect. Also, the clam chowder here is mad good. The mashed potatoes and cobbler are just… Okay. But for the price, a two-course meal like this is hard to beat. Service was awesome– personal, friendly, and prompt.

The Wind River Inn is a great place for breakfast. The omelets are the best.

When you are dining in a small town, you can expect to get some ‘tude with your food. This place is no exception. We laughed at the snarky banter between the owner(?) and the waitress. Our breakfasts were huge and yummy. He had biscuits and gravy — the biscuits were large, flaky, and homemade. My french toast was thick and chewy, and the bacon was«just right» — thick and chewy with just a little crunch. After we ordered I noticed a white board listing several types of pie. My only regret about dining at the Inn was not trying slice of pie!
