Yellow Basket is located on Avalon Blvd. and 223rd Street of the good city of Carson. The place has done well to keep its mainstay on the corner. For customers who have not been there for a while, they upgraded to wood grain seats which shows the dedication the owner has to present his/her restaurant to the highest fashion. It is a good place for one who might be feeling indecisive. From burgers to chicken tenders, this place truly serves all kinds of food, and their menu is as diverse as it comes. Staff is hard-working and carries a spirit of familia. Drive-Thru order is booty so I recommend eating inside. My personal favorite: — classic burger $ 1.29 — patty melt — breakfast burrito(amazing pico de gallo) — corn beef w/hash — chicken tender — yellow basket omelette — california omelette

I liked the yellow basket in gardena, so when I moved to carson and saw this one down the street, I thought I’d check it out. I’ve only been about 5 times in 2 years. Customer service was always meh. The girl cashier with glasses never looks happy. The place looks old and rundown. Sticky, dirty tables and no trash can. Really. Too lazy? Food is mediocre now. Got stale fries last time. Try teds burgers down the street on main and 220th. Really good char-broiled burgers and friendly staff!

I’ve been coming since I was a kid. I give a three star because the food is good. But when I spend over $ 30.00 there and ask for two ranches and you want to argue with me that you have to charge me. Especially when other employees don’t charge me. That’s where you loose me. I won’t be back for this dumb decision.

This is my favorite burger place. A young lady decided to mop the floor while I was half way through my Colossal Burger. Charbroiled and disinfectants! Management please educate the young lady about customer courtesy.

Sometimes when I’m early to work I’ll stop by this place to get a Breakfast SAUSAGE Burrito. They put pico de gallo, meaty sausages(cut in thick chunks), potato(not hash brown) and don’t forget to get a side of their red salsa.

Use to love this place, now I strongly don’t. Terrible bathrooms. Service without a smile. Rude. And food is nothing to brag about anymore. Oh and no trash can

This place is a million times better than In And Out. Their burgers are flavorful and made to order, and their fries are always served hot! Crispy on the outside and fluffy potatoey goodness on the inside. Also if you’re not in the mood for a burger they have an extended menu with Mexican food and also breakfast options!

Good Lord this place has been through so much, and still can’t get it right! Chicken strips are dry as hell, all food is mediocre fair that you’d get at any other hole in the wall, just not as good! Been a customer since I was 7! And cashiers should learn how to SMILE.

Finally decided to give this place a shot — Got a breakfast burrito! It was soooo good, had eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese & pico de gallo(chopped tomato salsa). A little spicy which is awesome! Would come back again and order another one :) Ps– the prices on the menu are covered with tape and paper lol. I guess the prices are a mystery until it’s time to pay! I wish they would remodel the joint — from the exterior it does not look appetizing at all, which sucks cause the breakfast burritos are bomb!

Awesome breakfast burritos. The Paco sandwich is also great. Not the cleanest, but definitely worth getting. Avoid the burgers and any of the sides.

Just one of the many mom & pop, hole in a wall breakfast/burger joints found in Carson that serves a wide range of… stuff. I have eaten at almost all of them and my recent visit has lead me to a not so pleasant meal, my least favorite in fact. I recall this place being in a much better condition than the condition it’s in now. Even though there are cars parked in the lot, a line in the drive-thru, customers eating at a table or two, the place feels deserted and run down. The prices on the menu board are covered with paper and tape, maybe from the constant increase of cost. The main counter is wide and spacious yet it is bare with nothing to offer but a coffee maker and a container with condiments. The smell of the place is not of bacon and eggs but of lemon bathroom cleaner. There is no greeting at the door. There are no smiles in the faces behind the counter. I ordered the spinach omelette with extra crispy hash browns and rye toast. The first bite was delicious, the next was decent and the ones after that were daunting. The hash browns were basic and the rye toast was buttered only on one slice. Unfortunately, my omelette was all cheese and spinach with a pinch of egg. It was very rich and I did not finish it. I’ve tried this place out and sadly I will only be driving by from now on.

The food is good here. It’s your typical burger spot. I had the bacon cheeseburger with zucchini. The loveboat had a Phili cheese steak with onion rings. My burger was good. I loved the zucchini. They give way too much food here. The rings are great. I absolutely love their curtido. The Phili was not bad either. Good flavor. The only thing was that we ate here and the seating area is kind of jenky. Look, I don’t expect it have marble floors and chic Cherrywood booths. The table that we sat at had the stickiest tabletop. Sticky! Like someone rubbed maple syrup all over the table. And it was dirty from the person before. We moved tables and there was still that stickiness. Which is why they are getting 3 stars. I would come back and only go through the drive thru.

A Carson staple. Big portions of greasy, satisfying food for average prices. Service is fast and employees are typically friendly. I’ve eaten here so many times. I feel highly about this local greasy spoon the way others might feel highly about their own local one. Minus 1-star for the condition of the furniture and overall look of the place: residue on tables, ripped upholstery, weird advertisements on tables, cheap signage on foam boards, and a rundown, in-need-of-a-remodel aesthetic. Everything I’ve had here is good except for their fish tacos – avoid them. The breakfast burritos are bomb.

You can’t beat yellow basket’s prices and their huge portions. They have awesome breakfast deals and their breakfast burritos are so goddamn good. The service is friendly and you’ll have your food within 10 minutes, tops. YB doesn’t look like much from the outside. The building looks old and the interior is outdated. You wouldn’t expect such good burgers and burritos from a place like this but mama said don’t be so quick to judge. If you have an appetite and your wallet is looking a little sad, come here and you’ll leave pretty satisfied. I recommend any of their burgers or breakfast burritos. And of course you can’t forget the fries too!

My last meal on Earth. The Breakfast Burrito. the Hash Brown, the egg, bacon, sausage in it. Yum Yum and the Hot sauce salsa is fiery, hot and gives you the right kick needed. This Burrito is so huge that it can easily be your lunch. Beats any other Breakfast Burrito in Taste, size & price hands down! Yellow Basket Breakfast Omelet(comes with Hash brown/Fries and Toast) is also delicious! All their fries including zucchini fries, carne asada fries etc are super duper…
