Days Inn Cartersville

I will never trust Days Inn Motels (or any cheap motel at that) again after my last experience at this location in Cartersville Ga. I just don’t know where to start. It was a filthy and horrible experience. After we checked in, I went to the room and at needed at least 3 or 4 light bulbs as most fixtures were out. Unfortunately, when the room was finally well lit, we noticed the stains on the walls and carpet. I don’t know why we didn’t just get a refund and leave at that point, but we did not, and decided to just not walk barefoot in the room. Well, the horror continued. We discovered what looked like ground in old vomit between the beds, what looked like small blood stains on the old worn mattresses. They obviously don’t spend much time cleaning or replacing anything. We slept in our clothes, on top of the sheets, and quickly left in the morning. Shortly after the stay. I discovered that I had gotten lice. I contacted corporate and the GM refunded my money for the stay. I contacted the local heath department with details of the findings right away.
