I usually try not to do reviews on chains but since I’m a regular at this location here it goes… This Longhorns has always been a favorite around town for me because I always get good consistent service and the food is always been cooked good. Longhorns is one of the few I’ve ate at across the southern US and can say it’s most consistent. I kind of like the idea of a secret menu that I order off of regularly. Makes me feel special I guess. If you haven’t ever tried the rocky top chicken it’s a must and best chicken option there. The fresh bread and salads are awesome. They might change the menu up at times like some do but what they don’t do is ruin experience by giving you a salad with no cheese or croutons. The wait here is never too bad and you can always call ahead. Another option most places won’t do especially on holidays.

I was so looking forward to having a nice dining experience out on a Saturday night. People who arrived after us were seated before we were. My friend and I placed our orders right away because we knew what we wanted. By the way we arrived at 4:30 before the dinner hour, the side we were placed was only half full; yet there were people waiting in the lobby to be seated. I ordered my steak medium, pink in the middle, It came out very rare, our waiter never came back to check if everything was okay. We had to flag down another waiter and he immediately took my steak back. Thank goodness I kept my potato, my friend had completely finished her meal. Our waiter came back and asked if we wanted separate checks, and I pointed to my plate and asked where was my meal. Ohhhhh he said, sorry. The manager came over and brought my steak and asked if I wanted a to go box, she didn’t want me to leave hungry. This is not the first bad experience I have had at the Cartersville resturant, but it will be my last.

5⁄29 was our first visit to this Longhorn location. Arrived a 6p and seated promptly. Service good. Waitress Jessica was patient and checked back regularly. We ordered chicken, prime rib, apps and wine. Unfortunately the prime rib was a very poor 16oz cut. I spoke to Jessica and asked she return it and bring me a porterhouse. Manager Ben Andrews arrived, viewed the prime cut and graciously agreed it was unacceptable and never should have left the kitchen. He recommended a steak and brought it out very quickly so I could continue dinner with wife. We used a 10% discount coupon after dinner and Ben still comped the apps and drinks. Turned a poor evening to a great evening. Good job Ben and Jessica

We’ve never had a bad meal here. We love their prime rib and their appetizers are awesome. Wish the waiting area was a little bigger though.

The only two times I’ve been here the steak has not been good at all. It doesn’t look like a steak should and it definitely doesn’t taste like it should. I went the first time and got the steak and it wasn’t good so I thought maybe they just had a bad day so I came back a couple months later and unfortunately it was the same. The fries were good it’s just something if off with the steak. So I paid for a steak meal when I literally took maybe two bites of the steak. The service has not been the best either. I waited 5 mins at the podium while a guy and girl were sitting at a table talking. Finally the guy came over and seated us and then had to wait for our waitress. Probably won’t be back to this Longhorns.

We stopped in for early dinner, around 5:30 so it wasn’t packed and we didn’t wait. However, the service was slow, we never got a drink refill. We ordered our soup and salads. Salads were okay, soup was kind of cold, definitely NOT hot. I ordered the filet and shrimp with grilled asparagus that was $ 1.59 extra for being«signature sides». My asparagus was dry(supposed to have some lemon sauce on it) with no flavor and lukewarm. I told the waitress and she took them back and the manager came to apologize. The asparagus came back warm, but rubbery like it had been popped in the microwave. Shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. On the upside our steaks were good and cooked well and my husbands baked potato was good. For a slow time and no reason for service to slack I was especially disappointed. We won’t be back.

Other than a moderately objectionable smell emanating, I think, from the carpet –too much cleaning fluid? — our experience was okay. I’m not a steak eater, but I notice that those amongst us always enjoy what they get at LongHorn; when you ask for rare, you get rare — which is integral to a person’s dining experience. Mom had prime rib which she savored, I had baby backs which were ok. All in all, a decent dinner, a solicitous waiter and reasonable prices. The room they put us in however, was sorta depressing.

i’m going to let my adorable storytelling mommy tell this in her words; she’s still so pleased she emailed this to me to post. i’ll set it up: we went to celebrate their anniversary(but didn’t say anything to the staff). here’s what went down: ************ «We were blessed with an unexpected surprise after dinner! The person who cleared the table was the manager(which we didn’t know at the time). She asked if everything was alright with the meal. I said it was quite good. Then, I said the only thing was the steak was a bit oversalted, or overseasoned for us. But, it was fine. She looked concerned and suggested that the next time I could ask for less seasoning. I hadn’t thought of that and usually that is not a problem for me since I like salty vs. bland. I had decided since this was our celebration dinner, we had to order dessert. Even though we were stuffed with a take-home box of leftovers. We even had an appetizer. We couldn’t decide, so I ordered a „sampler“ of 3 things that we like(a real chocolate layered cake, NY cheesecake with strawberries and whipped cream, and a homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream with a raspberry drizzle. The apple pie crust is a warm strudel type crust.) Anyway, when it came we were shocked to see how much there was! So, we ate the one with the ice cream, and asked for a box to take the cake and cheese cake home. Our server was Paul, a young man who is super nice. He came back with the bill and said that our dessert was free! It would’ve been almost $ 10. They had a dessert menu that has no prices on it(but we had seen $ 6 for most on the regular menu). But, he said the manager gave us the dessert for free because we were not totally satisfied with the steak. I told him that it was not a complaint and that it was the ONLY thing that was not „perfect.“ But, he said she wanted to do it because she wanted us to come back! Amazing. We then told him „Thanks for the anniversary gift.“ When we left, we saw the manager and thanked her. She said she felt badly that our steak was too salty! Can you imagine? I told her that I usually don’t say anything because I don’t want to complain about something like that, but since she asked, that was the only thing that came to mind. Anyway, that was a nice surprise.» ********* look, that sort of customer service is the what makes an otherwise potentially MEH chain restaurant deserve a 5-star review. my parents will now always remember their 45th wedding anniversary by this manager’s concern and kindness. well played, Longhorn Steak manager. thanks for making my parents’ evening that much more enjoyable!

Big disappointment!!! A large DRUNK party was here and being obnoxious. The manager continued to allow them to be served. The food was good, and our waitress was great, but I felt like I was in a low grade honkey tonk.

I’m visiting Cartersville again and wanted to go to Slopes BBQ but it closed down. I made the mistake of going to Longhorn. I used to go to the Longhorn chain years ago and remembering having good meals. I was seated within ten minutes and the hostess gave me a nice table. I was flying solo and wanted a booth. I waited a long time and had to ask the manager for a glass of water. Then I had to flag down a waitress who ended up doing a good job. So it was not a good start. I ordered the T-Bone medium rare with a baked potato. The salad was alright but the steak was nothing special, It was a very thin piece of meat. It reminded me of a type of steak you get in a downtown casino at Las Vegas at breakfast with a steak and eggs meal. It surely wasn’t worth the over $ 20 I paid for it. The baked potato was ok. I would have given a two star but the service was pretty good. It looks like I won’t be returning to Longhorn anytime soon. Very mediocre.

Very good food for a chain. I would highly recommend this place for a well cooked steak.

Have not been to a LS in many many years. I still have a $ 50 Gift Card that is over 4 years old… do you think they will still redeem it? Got some sort of Parmesan crusted Chicken Sandwich while my colleague ordered a different type of Chicken Sandwich. They both tasted to same to us(as we did a half a half share. Basic stuff. Basic place… more nostalgic for me

We visited this Longhorn location while on a roadtrip. I was expecting the same run of the mill steak and service we get in Orlando, but was pleasantly surprised to find otherwise. I don’t usually visit chain steakhouses, but the service and the food at this location were fantastic. Our server was cheery, attentive and patience with our large group that included children. Our drinks were never empty, and she checked back often. It was a little on the pricey side for a chain, but it was worth the extra money. We started our meal out with Firecracker Chicken wraps and Onion Petals for appetizers. I was expecting the chicken wraps to be reheated frozen food type fare, but instead they were crisp, hot and tasty. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have a French or Catalina dressing as an option for my salad, or even a Tangy Tomato similar to Outback. I ended up with a Basalmic dressing that was not too heavy on the vinegar or the oil and was a tasty addition to my greens. My steak was cooked to order a perfect medium-rare, but a little salty for my taste. I had a sweet potato with my steak. I asked for the cinnamon sugar on the side, which they forgot to bring, but it didn’t need it. It was also cooked perfectly and was a nice compliment to my steak. If you are in the area and looking for something above average, check out this Longhorn Steakhouse.

I am a «no chain restaurant» type person. Yeah, maybe that makes me a restaurant snob. I don’t care, I just generally like food that isn’t dumbed down to appeal to the majority. I want it to taste like something damn it! But I’m game, especially when with a group of work colleagues, so that’s how I ended up at Longhorn Steakhouse. First thing I noticed was the understated yet still Texas-y décor. They had bridles hanging from the wall, there were iron longhorns and cowboys on horses running throughout the room but it stopped short of being cheesy. For an appetizer we had the firecracker chicken wraps. Fried small tortillas stuffed with spicy chicken and cheese. I wasn’t a fan of the dipping sauce but I did like these little buggers. Nice decent spice! For dinner I had the 7 Pepper Sirloin Salad. They cook the sirloin to order(medium rare) and it had a lot of great pepper taste. I added more pepper from the grinder on the table but not sure it needed it. I like it spicy though so no problem. The greens were good but my fave part was the bleu cheese that got a little melty thanks to the warm steak. OMNOMNOM it was yummers. Overall I was pretty pleased with the salad as well. For dessert we shared the chocolate stampede and the fried cheesecake. I didn’t try the cheesecake since I don’t really like cheesecake but the chocolate is an entirely different story. 6 types of chocolate in a cake? Yes please! Vanilla ice cream on the side. Yesssss please! It was decadent and delicious. So much for being kind of healthy with that salad. Thank goodness we shared although I think I could eat that entire thing by myself if I just put my mind to it. The service was super friendly and the manager came around a couple of times. However, service was also kind of spotty and slow because a group of about 25 came in right after us. Our initial waitress was given the large top duty and we almost never saw her again. Other waitstaff came around though so it was ok but it could have been a bit smoother though. I suspect those people didn’t warn them about their large party though so they probably didn’t have an opportunity to staff appropriately. All in all I was pleasantly surprised with my Longhorn Steakhouse experience. Not too shabby. I suspect I won’t even gripe if someone suggests this place in the future!
