Let me qualify the 5, because I tend to be stuck up for anything over 4. This is a hotel restaurant at a medium-upper style hotel, so level set your expectations. That said… Food was well prepared, free happy hour for all drinks everyday 5:30 — 7:30, along with stacks like veggies , pimento cheese & crackers, salsa & chips. Then dinner: all nicely done and good value for the price($ 20−18/ meal) with attentive staff and manager. So funny thing — I now live 0.5 miles from here and didn’t think of coming here to eat until now — looking at Unilocal 4⁄5 in a nearby search. I feel it should be a bit higher for the price. I stayed at the hotel here 2 years ago checking out the area, and doubt I ate here. If you want a quiet night, try Sunday, and the place is all yours. :)

I went back today to use up my «buy 5 get one free» card and was terribly disappointed to find the lunch buffet was gone. I asked, and they said they don’t have it in the summer. Why would they do such a thing? If it’s not profitable, maybe charge a buck more? I missed that lunch buffet, especially the unlimited desserts. They said they could give me a free entrée instead for my card, so I settled for a Caribbean Cobb Salad. It was okay, but there was way too much meat and the romaine lettuce had a lot of very large stem pieces. It was an average lunch, and I probably wouldn’t have gone here today had I known the buffet was gone.

Very good but a bit pricy.

I liked the restaurant well enough. I think the service was good. I just really disliked the hotel so much that this ‘hotel restaurant’ really won’t do it for me if I just wanted to go somewhere to eat. I would not choose this place as a destination. That’s just the way it is.

I have eaten here for the last three nights. Not because I had to, mind you, it’s just that good. Especially for a hotel restaurant. The first night I had their chicken dish, which was pretty stellar. Chicken Veloce I think it was called. Basically a pan frued scallopini of chicken with a vegetable ragout on top. It was very flavorful and led me to return the next night. On night 2, I went with the managers recommendation and ordered the bacon– wrapped pork tenderloin, which was perfectly cooked and served with whipped sweet potatoes and haricots vert. It was so good that I really couldn’t pass up a chance to try something else of the menu for my final night here. Tonight I ordered the NY Strip. I like my meat on the well side, but it arrived way overlooked and sans the peppercorn crust touted in the description. I ate about half before giving up. That said, the fries were perfectly cooked and the mushroom ragout served on top of the steak was do good I ate most of my fries and an extra roll trying to mop it up. Jamie, the manager, stopped by my table twice to see how the food was and when I informed him of the steak issue he apologized and admitted the steak here is hit-or-miss. He comped my whole meal with no hesitation. That’s class and excellent customer service! Despite my issue with the steak, I still recommend this place. The service has been great, the food is superb, and even the house salad is not taken lightly. I give them high marks for their attention to detail!
