This is a great local bar. The staff is amazing. Always friendly and will remember you, which is a great thing. There is a wide variety of food and it is all good. The best part is that they have some healthy options too, however, they will accommodate you with whatever you need. We have played darts, trivia, bingo, video games and corn hole here. Great place!

This place… I tell ya. We were scheduled to go to a paint nite on 02/02/2015 at 7pm. We arrived pretty early so we could eat there before we started to paint. The bartender was charismatic and full of energy that beamed off of him. We all handed our I. D’s and he noticed that my 21st birthday was last month. Not expecting much of anything from the information that he received, he handed my drink to me and said«This one is on the house from Brewsters! Happy late Birthday!» I gladly accepted the drink and proceeded to place my order. I ordered the Chef Salad with no croutons. The order came out quickly and tasted delicious. When we went about painting our cherry blossom trees, both bartenders were tentative to everyone’s needs. At the bar and at the tables. Orders flew out of the kitchen, and the vibe of the bar was upbeat. At the end of our session, we all walked over to the bar to pay our tabs. As the gentleman had stated, my drink was on the house; it came out to $ 14 total. I wanted to give him a little more than 15% and tipped $ 4. This morning, when I checked my bank statement, I was shocked to not see $ 18 but, $ 15.40. He only took $ 1.40 of the $ 4 that he rightfully deserved. I will be returning to the bar to not only give him the money he deserves but, to once again enjoy the food and atmosphere that they provide. I STRONGLYRECOMMENDVISITING!!!

I dropped off my boyfriend and some friends earlier tonight after celebrating a long time friend of ours coming into town to visit, an engagement, and another friend having a baby. It had been a wonderful night with friends until I just got a call that everyone was kicked out and cut off after ordering only 1 beer and shot. They are a loud and fun group of people but in no way was anyone in a state of needing to be cut off. It was very unclear why this happened, but a member of the staff told my boyfriend to «stay in downtown Raleigh»(where we live) –and I can assure you that we will. I grew up in Apex right down the street from this place and I will be sure to tell my family and friends not to patronize this establishment. It’s shocking and appalling to hear that friends who come here to celebrate together are turned away.

I went here with my Burger group on October 13, 2014. I took a poll of the group and based on very subjective criteria I scored them in several different categories on a scale of 1 to 10. BUN: 6.4 BEEF: 6.7 CHEESE: 8.0 EXTRAS: 7.0 AMBIANCE: 7.5 ACCURACY: 7.0 SPEED: 6.0 VALUE: 7.1 OVERALLSCORE: 6.9 if I equate the 6.9÷10 score to the 5 star rating it becomes 3.45 Stars.

Surprisingly quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Very clean restaurant with friendly staff. Played fusball while waiting for food. Hamburger was amazing. Lots of meat, made to order, waffle fries came out fresh and hot. Beer specials throughout the week. Music was pretty loud for a while but later was toned down and better for dining. WIll be back again for goof pub food.

Nice little neighborhood bar in Cary on the Apex side! I’ve been wanting to check out Brewster’s for awhile now after I heard it was owned by the same folks as Mac’s Tavern. I’ve always loved the staff and atmosphere at Mac’s and was hoping this place would be similar. Well guess what it is. The bar is setup similar in a u-shape so you can easily see everyone around you while your seated. I was immediately greeted by the friendly bartender and ordered up my vodka soda. I was just stopping by with a friend for a quick drink so I didn’t have a chance to check out the menu or taste the food but I’ve been hearing good things so I’ll be back for another«food» visit soon. There is a large patio outside that will be nice in the warmer weather. Plenty of tables to fit a crowd and TVs all around to catch the game. They seem to have a good group of regulars here already which is a good sign. Definitely a family friendly space as well. Easy parking and convenient to Cary Parkway and 64. I’ll update this review soon once I get back here for a full experience. But for now I consider it a great pub to grab a drink.

Update: dropped in the other night and they are improving by leaps and bounds. Service was spot on and friendly, much better beers are on tap, and my food was pretty good. Great job, guys! I’ll be back. A solid 3 and a half stars, and on the upswing.

We have been to Brewster’s Pub several times and have had a great experience every time. The staff is so friendly and the food is great; my husband especially loves the Brewster’s Bomb burger! The trivia is a lot of fun and actually has questions that you can answer! There is plenty of room and the chairs are actually comfortable if you plan to come and stay awhile. We will definitely be back!

This time is one of those where I wish Unilocal had half stars. Brewster’s Pub is a strong 3.5 stars, a solid place for a lunch option around the Cary/Apex area. Relatively new in the Lake Pine area(behind La Cocina), it has taken the space of the old Courtney’s that was there. My experiences have been for lunch, so I have not had the evening experience yet to compare to. Going in, it’s very wide open with lots of space. Minimalist but clean nice seating with tables and then stools around the horseshoe shaped bar. Lots of sports related wall décor and about 7 TVs scatttered about the place, most around the bar. There are 6 dart boards over on the far wall from where you enter. Definitely pub feel. The staff have always been very helpful, positive/upbeat beginning when you walk in and take a seat, and that is the big plus here. Food wise, they have the standard pub/bar type food available. The burgers are pretty decent. They have a good cup o’ mac n cheese when you are in the mood. The turkey reuben is not bad either, I’ve had that a couple of times. Bonus in that they offer waffle fries as well as homemade fried chips. Gotta like some waffle fries. Another point: they have a «lunch rewards» program where you get a card punched each lunch visit and after the 7th visit, the card says it can be redeemed for a free lunch. There has been somewhat of a wait to get lunch out to me, particularly my last time stands out where I had to get it done and go to get back on time to work. For lunch, I think the«order out» time needs to be a bit more on the ball. There have been hiccups such as the credit card machine going belly up, etc. and I know we are at the mercy of technology(believe me) but it’s pretty hard to get done and get back when you deal with those types of things. I will say the wait staff was incredibly nice and accommodating during these times, and as I have said before this item is their big plus. My server made it the best she could while dealing with such hiccups, thumbs up to her. Bottom line: Definitely 3.5 stars here. Solid lunch food type options in a pub like atmosphere. Wait staff positive and upbeat, great. A few hiccups here and there but still on my list as a regular lunch option in the Cary/Apex area.

Never written a review about a restaurant but I am so irritated I felt the need to write this one. We were so excited when this place opened since there really aren’t any bars in that area. We tried it a couple of times and the food was not great… but since it’s a new restaurant we figured they might need some time to work out the kinks. The last time we were there we ordered the nachos and they were horrible. Cold and gross. Not one of the bartenders really asked how it was so we didn’t complain since again, we knew it was a new place. Went there again today… a Tuesday(around 5), no one else there but a couple guys at the end of the bar that were apparently friends with the bartender(manager?) that was working. I told him(in a very nice way) that we really wanted nachos but that the last time we were there they were cold and not good. His reply was«then don’t order them again!» Having worked at a couple of restaurants myself I was apalled by this answer. I guess he noticed the look on my face and quickly said«haha i’m just kidding.» Right. We decided to give the nachos another try. Again, terrible. He didn’t even ask us if they were better this time, didn’t seem to care at all… he was much more concerned with socializing with his friend at the end of the bar. The only thing good about this place is the decent selection of beers on draft. I am now giving up on this place. 3 strikes and you’re out! VERY disappointed.

Brewsters recently opened in an area off Hwy 64 that’s relatively devoid of places to escape the traffic and grab an adult beverage. Occupying a space formerly a restaurant, Brewsters now bears little resemblance to what it was. It looks and feels much larger when you walk in. Maybe it’s because they kept the large windows to let in light during the day and because everything is still new and shiny. The bar is in the traditional u-shape with the dart boards and some tables on one side and regular tables on the other. There’s a really nice selection of draft micro brews including seasonals along with the standards in bottles. The food is typical bar food at typical bar food prices. I thought the grilled cheese was a little pricey for what it was, but the kitchen did an okay job on the burgers my friend and I ordered. Brewsters still hasn’t had its grand opening yet; so I expect the small kinks will work themselves out and leave a nice neighborhood bar that’ll lead me to change this to a four-star place. It’s on the verge of that now.
